Backstory: As a child, Asrai was always fascinated by the ocean and it's creatures. She loved to collect shells by the seaside when she was small. She never knew her mother or her heritage, as her parents' love was forbidden, and her mother died when having her. She and her father got through it though. However, one thing she found odd, was that she was not allowed to go in the ocean. One day, she saw something out from the window of her room in her house by the beach on her eighteenth birthday. It appeared to be a person that couldn't swim. She couldn't just stand by and watch, nor ignore it, so she went out to help depsite her father's protests. When she jumped into the water, something happened, a transformation of sorts. She had a tail, her fingers were slightly webbed, and she felt slits (gills) in her neck. After saving the person, she got out of the water, transforming back, and ran back to her house, demanding her father explain what had happened to her. He then explained everything to her.
