Background: Jane grew up in the slums of a large city, with a family that was... not so great, let's just say that. Their parents were neglectful, so she developed severe mental and physical health issues, some of which have gotten better. School wasn't much better, as she was teased and bullied nearly everyday, and nothing was ever done about it. It nearly drove her to the brink. However, there was an incident that brought her seemingly dormant powers out, where she was trying to shield herself from blows of other kids when fire shot out all around her, incinerating the kids. Jane grew scared, and didn't know what to do, so she ran away at the age of sixteen, beginning a life of standing up for people who couldn't stand up for themselves. After living on her own for two years, she met Diego, just outside the boxing arena he worked at. It wasn't until another freak accident that her powers were revealed to him. They were scared he'd become afraid, and run away, but he didn't, and Jane was forever grateful.
