Backstory:
Ebonykit, Jaykit and Thornkit were found on the Otterclan border by the medicine cat Mintflower. As the kits were found next to an Ebony tree, Mintflower decided to call one Ebonykit. The smallest kit, a ginger tabby with brown eyes and fluffy ears, died in the night on the second day. Mintflower gave the kit his full name before he died, his name was Thornheart. Ebonykit wanted to become clan leader more than anything. When the two she-cats became apprentices, Ebonypaw fell off of a tree, deep into the lake. Luckily, Jaypaw had watched the warrior's swim and she was able to save Ebonypaw from drowning. Ebonypaw's tail was broken in two places and she had swallowed too much of the lake water. Only a few cats still visited Ebonypaw when she was in the medicine den. The only cats who talked to her were Jaypaw, Hollytail *her mentor*, Mothstar *the leader*, Thrushpaw *the deputy's apprentice* and Streamfoot *The deputy*. A few cats tried to convince Mothstar to change Ebonypaw's name to Snaptail, but Mothstar refused to change Ebonypaw's name. When it was time for Ebonypaw to become a warrior, she got the name of Ebonyshine, because she never gave up and kept going, even when barely any cats supported her.
