Appearance: Unidentifiable male appearance, long dark hair usually pulled back in a bun, one eye missing that sometimes spills out a black goop that evaporates quickly and without a trace, easily detachable limbs, wears baggy clothing, sweaters or jackets, whatever he feels like

Personality: Confident, sometimes cocky and full of themself, uses their extensive knowledge to mess with people, grows close to people only to push them away at some point (not Ian or Scott though), likes to sit on the sidelines and watch things play out, he swears but it keeps it to minimum around Ian

Powers: Extraterrestrial- they don't have a normal human body, it's molded like a human but body part are easily detachable and in place of bones, muscles, and whatever else is black, void goop that evaporates
Unfortunately Zeph sometimes needs to replace their body with real human parts in case the void goop holding them together evaporates and they can't regenerate fast enough. In this extreme and rare case, Zeph in the past would get the parts in unconventional, immoral and a very illegal way (I think you can guess what they did)
Buuuut lately they just sneak into hospitals and mortuaries to find parts in a much less illegal way. It's still terrible and Scott really pushes for Zeph to live without an arm or leg for a few days instead of stealing some poor sods arm but Zeph has places to be and people to see so they still do what they do

L o n g tangent aside, Zeph is unaffected by physical attacks as they just cut through the void goop and that doesn't hurt and in general Zeph doesn't need to do normal human things like sleep, eat, drink, etc

Likes: walking, talking to their contacts, junk food though they don't need to eat, bugs

Dislikes: pasta, babies and toddlers (when they do that weird scream cry), people touching their hair/getting in their personal space

Backstory: Zeph has a shady and hazy past, some they remember, some just distant memories. They just know either they or just their consciousness has been around awhile.
From what Zeph has told Scott, they've watch this city develop into what it is today, watched buildings rise and fall, people come and go. Zeph used to indulge in the pleasures of the early city, but soon found it boring so graduated to the fast-paced illegal side. They moved often and didn't create friendships to avoid attachment to people.
Then when uptown, downtown and the Underworld were established Zeph moved to the Underworld to escape the rising mafia and business families that would almost definitely imprison and experiment on them.
Then they found Scott and Ian years later and became a part of their family. Zeph was interested in Ian's hyperactive tendencies and his powers.
As for the origin of their powers and just themself in general Zeph doesn't quite remember. They know they were born to parents. Whether to "demons" or "half-demons" they don't know. Their "childhood" and early "adult" years are hazy. What Zeph does remember is a specific hotel somewhere in the vast expanse of the City where his family went. They search for the place for a clue to their past even though it's probably been a decade since they've been there.

Fun Fact: Zeph has very little sense of time, direction, or even temperature

Can speak multiple languages and knows multiple sign languages that he sometimes teaches Ian to help him when he can't find the words to speak (if that makes sense)
