as big as her bark may be, reyna is actually quite...tiny. topping off at a solid 5'1 and 100lbs even, it's safe to say most anyone can tower over her. that does not, however, mean she's weak by any standard. reyna is well versed in self-defense measures and packs a mean right hook when need be. her hair naturally is a deep inky black but is usually dyed a sandy blonde as per her own preference. hours out in the sun have left reyna's skin with a golden tan, with freckles dimpling the otherwise flawless surface. ink swirls up the expanse of her arms and her neck, intricate designs she spent weeks pouring over before finally cementing their placement and picture. she's quite proud of how well they came out and is quick to refer anyone in the market for a tattoo to her artist. her eyes are dark, almost black in their intensity and framed by a delicate fan of lashes to match. her nose is small and straight, which balances the rest of her soft features with a slight hint of edge. naturally full lips conceal her pretty set of pearly whites, a slight gap in her front teeth rendering her smile soft when she cares to do so.  she's known to wear mostly her own brand of clothing, partially for advertising purposes and partially for the fit. she enjoys being comfortable while still remaining stylish, and that's exactly what her clothing line is about.

reyna is, simply put, one hell of a woman. growing up in LA didn't exactly teach you to be anything less, after all, there really was no telling when this city would eat you alive. independent is definitely a word one would use to describe someone of reyna's caliber; standing on her own two feet and running towards her goals like she'd always dreamed she'd do. something about the rush of liberation she felt when apart from others was the sweetest thing to her, so you're not gonna find reyna leaning against just anyone for help. if she wants to appear strong to others, she has to be able to tough things out on her own, y'know? it also helps that she's a rather confident individual as well, in both her looks and her talents. with ink covering the tanned expanses of her arms and neck, reyna knows she's a sight to be seen. she's not the type to explicitly show off her looks, she's definitely more humble than that, but she started her own clothing line for a reason. she knows what she looks good in, and she wants others to be able to feel that same confidence she does with all her heart. and through her music, reyna can truly let go and immerse herself in the person she's grown to become. talent doesn't just come out of nowhere; perhaps innate ability, but not true talent. that's something you have to work and practice hard to truly achieve. she's proud of the person she has grown to be despite the hardships she may have faced. to be able to look into the mirror and be happy with what's staring back at you is one of life's greatest treasures.

on top of that, she's educated. with her degree in sociology, reyna uses the knowledge she's accumulated to keep herself up to date with the workings of the world. she knows the pain of feeling small and ignored, of being cast aside and left for dead. so to give back to the community that gave so much to her, reyna uses her platform to tell their stories and shed light on hardships she feels that need it. despite her manager's protests, reyna doesn't hold an inch of herself back from her audience. when reyna is truly passionate about something, there's nothing in this world that could keep her from it. she'll tell it how it is until she's blue in the face, even if her words hold an edge so sharp that people are hurt. if it takes being blunt to get her points across to people, then so be it. better they think on it now than ignore the problem altogether. she's willing to be seen as the bad guy if it means getting sensitive topics into the air and into people's minds. living ignorantly is no way to live in her book.

and yes, reyna would be the first to tell you that her temper is somewhat volatile. she knows very well that her mood flickers like that of a dying lightbulb and has grown to accept such a fault in her character. she'd be the first to key a person in on how they'd angered her too. as much as her manager may hate her for it, reyna is a very vocal human being, and she doesn't enjoy having her opinions silenced. does that make her confrontational? yes, a bit. would reyna have it any other way? not at all. she spent far too long keeping quiet, and she's not gonna hold herself back to spare someone else. she can be as loyal as can be, but cross her and you may just find yourself crying from the tongue lashing she'll have headed your way. if she trusts someone enough to be completely transparent with them, she expects the same courtesy, y'know? and at times she can be a tad self-righteous, that's also something reyna will readily admit to. being willfully ignorant is just something reyna won't stand for, and she won't apologize for that. too many celebrities forget what it took for them to get there, so forgive reyna for having good morals in a world as corrupt as theirs.

reyna dalisay santos' story starts in the slums of LA, in a hospital abandoned by her own mother. the woman had been in her teens, hardly old enough to be called a woman, and hadn't been ready for the responsibility having a child entailed. she'd bolted from the hospital the first chance she had, and left her infant daughter to the world. without any proper place to turn to, reyna was quickly surrendered in as a ward of the state under the safe haven laws set in place and spent her developmental years roaming from foster home to foster home. many of the homes lived from paycheck to paycheck, some of the homes simply used their foster children for money. at some point, this became a routine to reyna. go to a home, live there a few months, and then off to the next. she knew it was wrong, hated that her life consisted of such things, but before she could say anything otherwise she was shipped away. stability, although she may have craved it, was something that seemed unattainable for a girl like her. it's where she learned to be so independent, to call upon herself when she needed help instead of others. but like a ray of light in the darkness, a family reached out to her. the santos' were definitely a ragtag bunch, barely managed to make ends meet with the 3 children they already had running around their house, but they became her family nonetheless. taking in a headstrong 12-year-old girl couldn't have been easy, and reyna is forever grateful that they took a chance with her. it was here that reyna developed her love for music, rap especially. something about the way emotions were conveyed in that type of music stuck with her, made her want to pursue her dreams like many of her favorite rappers before her had. if they could rise up from their struggles, then so could she. society seemed so adept at putting others down that were different, but rap seemed to combat that. so she honed her skills and she grew into an adult, slaving away at every minimum wage job she could find while simultaneously keeping her grades above a B to increase her chances of getting into college after graduation and make her foster parents proud. with the money she saved up from work and a hard-earned scholarship, reyna went to college to pursue a degree in sociology, determined to figure out just why society had come to such a point so perhaps she could help combat it herself. it was in her freshman year of college that she was discovered by a talent agency, reyna having been dragged to some competition by a few of her friends that had landed her a record deal. life seemed to blur from then on, from her rise to fame to her subsequent graduation from college. it was during this fragile stage in her life that she met the cowboy. it didn't take much to be friends with someone as genuinely sweet as he had been, and the two of them had helped each other when one seemed to be down. that had been her mistake, hadn't it? the two of them had gotten close enough to start collaborating on a song together, but seeing as it hadn't been going anywhere, they had mutually decided to keep the track strictly between them. but when the going got tough for the cowboy, he put out their song as a last-ditch effort to save his face. and just like that, the cowboy rocketed into stardom. reyna, understandably pissed about the whole ordeal, spit venom at the cowboy before dropping him altogether. she even went as far as to switch labels to get away from him and has declared him her enemy ever since. reyna had no need for two-faced backstabbers in her life anyway; she would earn her fame strictly by herself. switching labels was just the final kick she needed to blast off her own success, the woman going on to launch clothing lines under her name and sell out concerts by the handful. she's never forgotten where's truly come from though and uses her platform regularly to expound upon the filth that today's society breathes.

𝖔𝖕𝖎𝖓𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖘 𝖔𝖓 𝖍𝖚𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖘

humanity as a whole doesn't seem so bad to reyna, but with how today's society is being run, it's almost impossible to keep pessimism from wiggling its way into her mind. she wants to believe there is hope for people to turn over a new leaf and for corruption and discrimination to become non-existent, but she knows well enough that her goal won't ever come to fruition. as long as humanity kept living their lives selfishly, there really was no way to wash their sins away. let's just say she's a skeptic at heart; she'll always take everything she hears with a grain of salt.

𝖔𝖕𝖎𝖓𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖘 𝖔𝖓 𝖒𝖚𝖘𝖎𝖈

her saving grace. music is what kept her afloat when she thought she had nothing, was her only sense of stability during her tumultuous youth. reyna could say with her whole chest that she wouldn't be the person she is today without music in her life. having a proper outlet for emotions and thoughts while also relating to an audience that understands your struggles makes everything seem worth it to her.

𝖔𝖕𝖎𝖓𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖘 𝖔𝖓 𝖈𝖔𝖒𝖕𝖊𝖙𝖎𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓

she was neutral to the topic at first, actually. sure, she could be competitive when the time called for it, but she figured it was just another reality tv gimmick to put out for the general populace and set it in the back of her mind. it was only when it was revealed the cowboy had been admitted into the competition that she truly started to take it seriously. was it a bit petty of her? yes, but she chose to view this as another chance to push her words out into the world. if she could somehow win this whole thing, maybe people would finally start to truly listen to what she had to say.
