The Four of them were soldiers that survived the Russian attack on the weapons that Shadow Company was delivering but the Russians killed their friends Diapolo, Erikson, and Vance, they were the only four left alive after that

After The team survived shadow company was helping 141 take down the Las Almas Cartel but after taking down the oil rig Graves betrayed 141 but The team decided to work with 141 instead of against them and after killing Graves the team work with 141 one last time to kill Hassan and after they did the team retired

That is.... until Valeria escaped from Prison and Alejandro Vargas (Colonel of the Los Vaqueros) called them in to help him take down Valeria (This is following Season 3's intro)
