"Come on, Dai. It's not a big deal, you've got this." Daiko spoke to himself,"They won't judge you, they won't."

Daiko's hand reached towards the doorknob but froze.

"What if they don't like you anymore?"

Daiko pulled back from the door, his back against the wall. He gripped Terishi's mask tightly, something that reassured him. With a sigh, he put the mask on, walking into the kitchen.

Daiko and the other five survivors all shared a flat together. From what he knew, Dimitri was kept in a cell at the Future Foundation building.

When he entered the main room he saw Stevie in the kitchen, Scott Akira and Jeff were sat on the couch and Jay was stood by the bookshelf, reading.

"Uh, guys?" Daiko spoke up.

"Ay?" Scott turned to look at him.

"I, uh... I have something I've been meaning to tell you for, well, a long time." Daiko admitted.

"What is it?" Jay raised a brow as Stevie walked over.

"I've only ever told two people, Stevie and... Teri."

"Oh, it's that thing!" Stevie realized,"You've got this, I promise."

Daiko took in a deep breath, slamming his eyes shut,"I'm... I'm transgender."

The room went silent for a few minutes. Oh god, what if-

"I'm so proud of you." Jeff spoke up first,"As someone who has struggled with their gender identity in the past, I feel like knowing this will allow us to relate to each other more."

"Heh, I suppose so." Daiko smiled softly.

"C'mon, boss man. Sit doon." Scott patted beside him on the chair.

"Okay, okay, I'm coming." Daiko did as he was instructed.

"We should have a party." Akira suggested.

"It's really not that big a deal-"

"Daiko, it's a party for you, celebrating you for being comfortable enough with us to tell us something very personal. I say let's do it." Jay shrugged.

"If Jay says party, we're having a party." Daiko quickly agreed.

"What-"

"Jay never wants to party with us, this is probably our only chance." Daiko stated,"In all seriousness though guys, thank you."

"Why are you thanking us?" Akira asked.

"For accepting me for me." Daiko smiled.

"Kid, we were going to accept and stay with you no matter what." Stevie assured him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder,"That's a promise."

"Thanks, ma." He whispered.

"No problem." Stevie whispered back.
