Abilities: Thunder breathing - The Breath of Thunder (雷かみなりの呼こ吸きゅう, Kaminari no kokyū), or Breath of Lightning in some publications, is one of the five main Breath Styles directly derived from the Breath of The Sun. The Breath Style has been developed by Yoriich Tsugikuni for Demon Slayers, who could not use the Breath of the Sun. The same is applicable for the other main Branch Breath Styles. 

Techniques usable by Rai:

First Style: Thunderclap and Flash (壱いちノ型かた霹へき靂れき一いっ閃せん, Ichi no kata: Hekireki Issen?)[3] - The user dashes forward and slashes at their opponent with incredible speed. God Speed (神しん速そく, Shinsoku?) - Further augments the speed of Thunderclap and Flash.

Second Style: Lightning Ball (弐にノ型かた稲いな魂だま, Ni no kata: Inadama?)[6] - The swordsman is able to generate five straight attacks around the user in a single moment.T

Third Style: Buzzing Mosquito Thunder (参さんノ型かた聚しう蚊ぶん成せい雷らい, San no kata: Shiubun seirai?)[7] - Generates a spinning wave of lightning in all directions.

Fourth Style: Distant Thunder (肆しノ型かた遠えん雷らい, Shi no kata: Enrai?)[8] - The user releases multiple ranged strikes towards a target.

Fifth Style: Heat Lightning (伍ごノ型かた熱れつ界かい雷らい, Go no kata: Retsu kairai?)[9] - A single, focused, slashing attack.

Sixth Style: Electric Lightning Shower(陸ろくノ型かた電でん轟ごう雷らい轟ごう, Roku no kata: Dengou raigou?)[10] - A series of strong ranged attacks released around the user .
