Marcy breathed heavily as she flew across the sky and then landed right at the core of the castle, where The Corrupted Box laid. She pressed her finger against her ear. "Anne! I'm here! I see the box! Just tell me when you're home free and I'll pull the plug!"

Meanwhile, Anne's glowing blue eyes looked up at the horned and orange eyed demon stomping towards her, their flaming cape blowing in the wind as they gripped a scythe.

Anne took a deep breath and pressed her finger against her ear. "Marcy, listen to me. When I get to the other side, you close that door."

Marcy's voice gasped. "W-what? Anne, no!!!"

"Marcy, it's the only way. They're too strong. They're not going to stay on the other side unless I keep them there." Anne said.

"There has to be another way!"

"We've tried everything, Mar-Mar. This is the only way." Anne said before her eyes widened a bit at the sound of Sasha's voice.

"Anne! Please don't do this! ANNE!"

Anne smiled weakly. "You're one to talk, Commander. Changing your mind at the last minute is totally your thing..."

Then, The Core was finally across from Anne, chuckling. "Outmatched and alone...yet, you persist. For what? Honor? Redemption? Sacrifice? All...meaningless."

Anne twirled her sword around. "We'll see about that." She said before zooming over at The Core and slashing her sword against their scythe before breaking their clash and then trying to throw her sword at them.

The Core merely dodged and Anne's sword was thrown into the darkness of the coming portal. The Core grinned before smashing Anne against the ground, grinning even more as she cried out in pain.

Marcy's voice was heard again. "Anne, please! I can't lose you again!"

Anne's eyes softened and she slowly said. "Marcy...I'm so proud of you. I...I love you so much. Don't ever forget that."

The Core rolled their eyes and tightened their grip. "Weak words...weak actions! We have forever known what you fail to understand! STRENGTH. ALWAYS. PREVAILS!!!"

Anne then grabbed The Core's wrist as she suddenly began to glow a bright blue. "And what you fail to understand is...I missed on purpose."

Suddenly, in a flash of blue energy, The Core and Anne were inside the dark void of the portal. The Core's eyes widened before they growled and slashed Anne with their scythe. "No! Enough of your little tricks!"

Anne grunted in pain before The Core grabbed her neck. "M-Marcy! Close the portal now!"

The Core's eyes widened. "WHAT!?"

Down at the ground, Marcy grabbed The Corrupted Box and tried to muster up any kind of strength she had to just lift it and close the portal. Tears began to form in her eyes as she kept trying to blink them away, but they came down her cheeks.

She couldn't do it...but...

Up at the portal, The Core threw Anne aside and began flying back to the exit of the portal, but Anne grabbed them and began pulling them back.

"NO! LET GO OF US!!!" The Core roared, beginning to smash against Anne with their fist.

Anne cried out in pain, but kept holding on. "M-Marcy! PLEASE!!!"

And then...the portal began to shrink. Much to the relief of Anne and to the dismay of The Core and everyone on the ground. The ship The Core had brought with was sliced in half by the portal closing and exploded.

Anne grinned and let go of The Core, just floating backwards while The Core watched in disbelief.

And then, a gigantic piece of The Core's ship crashed into both of them, sending them both flying. Anne landed on a piece of another warship in the prison dimension's void, groaning as she stopped tumbling. She was still in pain.

The Core landed on their feet, growling as their flaming cape blew in the wind. They snapped their head towards Anne, snarling. "YOU...YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING!!!"

They then zoomed over to Anne. "And now...our wrath will be reserved for you alone." The Core boomed before beginning to smash their fists into Anne, fully intending to beat her to death. "You think you've won!? You WRETCHED. LITTLE. PEST!!!"

Anne cried out in pain as they then went through the platform they were on and onto another. And as she felt the pain all throughout her body...she began to remember happier times.

The Plantars. Wartwood. The adventures. Her home. Sasha. Marcy. Her entire family and the two homes she fought for. The entire multiverse she fought for.

She began to cry...she loved them all and wouldn't see them again...but even if she was going to die, she was fine as long as they were safe. She would die remembering them.

Anne smiled.

The Core, enraged, roared at the top of their lungs. "WIPE THAT GRIN OFF YOUR FACE!!!"

They collided their fists and smashed it against Anne's chest, sending her further down into the endless void of their new prison.

Anne's armor was falling apart and her cape had fallen off, and even the blue glow to her body was starting to dim. But she just placed her hands on her chest, as if she was holding the memories of everything close to her heart as she just plummeted through endless darkness.

It was over...but then? Pink and green energy began to crackle across the void...before a portal opened up.

Anne saw it as a light and reached to it...and through the portal? She saw the girl she loved, the girl she fought beside, and both of her families.

She smiled and reached her hand out further. "Took you guys long enough..."

Sasha quickly put a holographic hand over her own and reached it towards Anne, grabbing her hand. And then, with all her might, she began pulling Anne in.

Marcy just struggled, using nearly all of her might to keep the portal open, her eyes glowing the brightest green they could.

But as Anne was slowly pulled towards those she loved, The Core slowly appeared behind her.

Sasha took action and used her other hand to suddenly blast The Core in the face, sending them flying a little ways away into the darkness.

And with that, Sasha pulled Anne out of the portal and back into their world. Marcy smiled wide before looking back at The Core, who was slowly traversing their way to the portal.

Marcy giggled and gave a little wink before closing the portal, leaving The Core trapped.

Sasha had Anne in her arms as she laid her down. Sprig rushed over. "A...Anne...?"

Anne smiled at her family before looking around. "Are we in New Jersey!?"

Marcy then tackle hugged Anne, with The Boonchuy's, Sasha, and The Plantars all hugging her tight.
