Pelco's POV

"Okay, let's pratcice the wedding scene."

"Cliff, son of Ruby, queen of Skywings, don'y dare think I don't know what you're up to!", I threatened.

Cliff looked at me with the most innocent face he could mustter.

"Hm? I didn't say anything. I just think since we've gone through the rest of the play we should go ahead and do this one."

Me and Oaktail stood there, talons clasped in talons as we recited our lines.

"I, Rapunzale, take you, Ridder as my husband."

"And do you, Ridder take this dragoness as your wife?"

"I do."

"You may kiss the bride."

Cliff and Tody were unable to hide their smirks.

"But, um, we can't, um, I mean", Oaktail stamered.

"Hey", I said softly.

I tilted his head in such a way that it would look like we were kissing but, really, my thumb was separating us.

"You're a geinus", Oaktail whispered.

"I know."

"Oh, am I interupting something?", Acrea asked.

I'd met the Silkwing brifly when Sunny introduced us to our winglet, but I'd never gottten a chance to talk to her.

But now, I felt we wouldn't get along so well.

I soon realized why when I noticed how she was looking at Oaktail.

Oaktail seemed completly oblivious to this.

Ok, well maybe she just doesn't realize that he's taken. I'm sure if I just explain she'll understand.

But, when Acrea saw me twining my tail around Oaktail's, she looked at me like a fly that needed sawatting.

Or, maybe not.

Dusky, being the introverted, empathetic (and possibly phycic) dragon that he was, immediatly understood what was going on.

"Hey, Pelco, we could use some help in the kitchen.Want to join us?", he invited.

"Uh, I don't know I dout I'd be of any help."

"Come on, Pelco, it'll be fun!", Tody urged.

"Meh, why not", I said witha shrug.

The sound of a bell ringing reached our ears.

"Speaking of which, let's go!"

I found myself walking with Oaktail to the table where our winglet sat.

"Hey, Pelco, you're coming with us, remember?", Cliff said with a smirk.

"Oh right I forgot."

"WAiT, DoN't LeAvE Me, Pelco!", Oaktail said in a mock voice of dispair.

"Okay, okay, just one kiss before I go", I said rolling my eyes as I gave him a peck on the cheak.

"Come on, Pelco!", Tody and Cliff said, puling me away from Oaktail.

"Okay, okay, okay, I'm coming!", I said laughing.

Oaktail's POV

I stared at the place Pelco had stood and let out a happy sigh.

Pelco was the most incredible dragon I'd ever met.

I still couldn't believe she'd agreed to date me.

Then I had a though I'd never had before:
Crap, Mom and Dad will lose their minds when they meet Pelco.

There was no dout about it; they would love Pelco.

I could already see Mom hugging Pelco when she heard we were dating for the first time.

I wonder what her parents are like.

Acrea walked up to me.

"Can I sit here?", she asked.
She sat down before I could even answer.

"So, what do you do normaly?", she asked flirtatiously.

What, didn't she see Pelco kiss me?

Something told me that she had seen Pelco kiss me and disapproved of it.

"I like drawing and exploring", I answered absent-mindedly.

If she really thinks she can get me to like her more than Pelco, she's wrong.

"I like making jewlery and shopping! Shopping's great! Once, I went to the new jewelry shop that's in Pantala over near where the old Jewel Hive used to be. And I was going through a section of the shop where......"

Her voice faded away as I driffted off.

Oh.My.Gosh.
When wil she stop talking?
Pelco's never this boring.
Infact, Pelco the exact opposit of Acrea.

Pelco's POV

"Today we're serving all the carniverous students meat and fruit and honey for anyone ese", Clay informed us.

Tody put a frozen fish on the side of one of the plates of meat.

"This one's for Mink", he said to me.

"You like her", Cliff said with a grin.

"I saw you hanging out with Auklet the other day!", Tody accused.

Now both of them were a blushing mess.

I grabbed the plates I was supposed to bring to the Jade Winglet, one in each talon.

"Hey, Pelco, try doing it like this", Tody said.

He took an empty plate, blancing it on his horns.

I put a plate on my horns, trying not to let it fall.

"Hey, I think I'm getting it!"

Just as I spoke to soon, the plate fell and I caught it at the last second.

"I'll just have to carry as many of these as possibe without breaking them."

Mink seemed like a very sweet dragon; for an icewing, if you get what I'm saying (no offence, Junco).

"Your lunch, milady", Tody said giving her plate to her.

She giggled at him.

They would be a cute couple assuming they see each other that way.

Oaktail's POV

"What's your favorite color?", Acrea asked.

"Green. I'm just going to leave it at that."

I mean really, she could put a rino to sleep she talks so much.

"Hey", Acrea said in a soft voice.

Then she did the most alarming thing imaginable: she kissed me.

What.The.Heck.

Pelco's POV

I just so happened to look in Oaktail's direction and saw him talking to Acrea.

I couldn't help chuckling; poor Oaktail looked like he was dying of bordom.

Suddenly, Acrea leaned in and kissed him, not to differently than I had a few minutes ago.

You.Have.Got.To.Be.Kidding.Me

The very flustered looking Oaktai spotted me and with a hurried "Bye", ran toward me with a expersion a relife, confushion and embaressment.

"Pelco, I'm so sorry! She did it before I even knew what was she was doing. I swear I still-"

"Oaktail, it's ok I saw the whoe thing" , I said, I cutting him off mid sentance.

"Ok, now that that's taken care of-" Oaktail practicly to the sink and washed his face at least ten times, all the while saying "Get it off, get it off"
over and over untill it sounded like some kind of chant.

"That's the last time I'm leaving you unguarded", I decided.

"Well, Pelco, you're not leaving this kitchen just yet; you have to clean at least twenty dishes first", Cliff said in a bossy vioce.

On the bright side, I got to spend the rest of the day with Oaktail, so, yay!

Later that day, I was walking down the hall to the liberary, when I heard voices.

"Any luck?", one of the voices asked.

"No, that snoop'n Seawing got in my way", another voice answered.

"We can't look for the treasure with her around. We need a signal-"

"Wait", the first voice said.

A blur of green scales, and then darkness.
