A/N: Heyo!(Okay, that was too eager)
This chapter's going to have a little bit more language than the last, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Pelco's POV

"Me?", Oaktail asked in dismay.

"Oaktail was with us the whole, it couldn't be him", I reasoned.
"Besides", I said, leaning into him," I'm sure he wouldn't do that."

"But, then, who else could it be?", Dameselfly demaned.

Who else could it be?

"What did he look like?", I asked.

"He was the same shade of green as Oaktail, maybe a little bit darker, now that I think about it, and he was tall. I wish I coud have seen more."

Windhaven pulled me aside.

"I need to talk to you."

She brought me inside the sleeping cave, and closed the door.

"I wasn't going to tell anyone about this, but,after seeing how you treated Dameselfly, I decided I had to tell you if you're going to solve this whole mystery", she informed me.

"The night I went missing, I heard some strang noises coming from behind a wall. I followed them to find out what was causing them when I came face to face with a hooded figure.
I couldn't see his face, but, I could tell it was a leafwing from his tail and talons, which I remember were dark green.
The Leafwing put a knif under my neck.
'Not a word', he ordered in a disguised vioce.
He tried to disapper into the shadows again, but, I attcked him, almost pining him down, but, he retaliated.
Then, I blcked out.
I think he may have used some kind of drug on me, because I estamate I was out for at least three or four hours."

"Did, you ever wake up and see who your kiddnaper was?", I asked.

"Well, I kind of remember waking up and seeing a Hivewing holding something near my face, but, I'm not sure it was a real memory", Windhaven answered after a moument.

A Hivwing and a Leafwing working together?

Why?

Are they enamies or accomplices?

Could they have deliberatly framing Oaktail?

If Seasnake is mixed up in this, how does she fit in?

Too many questions and too few answers.

"Do you think Oaktail is involved?", I asked.

"I don't know, but", she said, her eyes narowing,"it's very suspicious that he snuck outside the sleeping caves right about the time I was captured."

"But, why would he do that?", I asked.
"How could he be responsible?"

"I don't know, but, I think you're getting to attached to that Leafwing."

I blushed.
Thankfully, Windhaven left before she noticed.

SMALL TIME-SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU by Dusky, our sweet shy-boy.

"How could it have been me?", Oaktail asked under his breath.

"Come on, Oaktail. Let's go flying together, just you and me", I invited, brushing his wing with mine.

What has happened to me?

My sister had often teased me for never having a boyfriend or even a crush; that was why she was so popular at the palace.
It was no more than a week ago we'd had a conversation about this.

"Come on, Pelco, you're more than pretty enough to get boys fall for you. Why not get a boyfriend?", Angelfish asked.
"Becuase, I just don't want one right now. Maybe someday, if I ever fall in love, but, that day isn't today", I retorted.
"You're hopeless", she told me.

And yet, there I was, flying side-by-side with the funniest, most charming dragon I'd ever met.

What the hell am I doing here with him? There's no way he likes me back.

Oaktail's face held an expression of dismay and saddness.

If only there was a way to cheer him up.

"Hey, you alright?", I asked.

"I'm fine. . . .as fine as you can be when you're accused without evidence", he said with a sigh.

"And I thought Queen Coral had bad reasoning", I joked.
Oaktail couldn't help smiling at that.

"Have you met Tody's friends yet?", he asked changing the topic.

"No, what are they like?", I asked.

"They're really funny, you'd love them. There's Cliff, Auklet, Bumblebee, and you've already met Dusky before; he was the small silkwing who kept calling you mam."

He grinned miscivously.

"Damn, that fit you perfectly"

I wacked him playfully with my tail.

Why does he have to be so funny and likeable? If he wasn't, maybe I'd be able to to get mad at him.
What would mom think about this? What would happen if she found out?
What the hell is going on woth me?

Tody was waiting for us when we returned.
He looked excited about something.

"Come with me, Pelco, I want you to meet my friends", he said, pulling at one of my wings.

"Ok, ok , ok, I'm coming!", I said with a laugh.

A small Hivewing bonded toward us. Her scales were yellow with black stripes. Her amber eyes danced with mischife.

"Pelco, this is Bumblebee. Bumblebee, Pelco."

I could already tell me and Bumblebee were going to be close.

"I'm Cliff", said the Skywing, giving Tody a high-five.

"I'm Auklet', said the Seawing.
"And this is-"
"Dusky!"

The small Silkwing gave me a shy smile.

"Hey, Pelco."

"We need your help with an assgnment. Starflight told us to prefrom this play called Rapunzal, but, we're having probems with the cast.Can you guys help us", Cliff asked.

"What do you guys want us to do?", Oaktail asked.

"We want to to be actors in the play", Bumblebee answered.

"Uh, I don't know. . . when are you preforming?", I asked.

"We're preforming four weeks from now. Please, Pelco?Dusky begged.

"Ok,ok,ok we're in!", I said, my will power crumbling at his adorable face.

"So, what's the play about?"

"It's about an animus princess named Rapunzal who was kidnaped when she was a dragonet.
Her kidnaper kept her trapped in a cave until one day, the princess escaped and fell in love with an outlaw named Ridder.
After Ridder finds out that Rapunzal's the princess, he brings her to the palace where she's reunited with her parents."

"Ok, so, who are we supposed to be playing", Oaktail asked.

"Oaktail, you're going to be Ridder.And Pelco, you are going to be Rapunzal", Auklet answered.

Oaktail gave me a looked that meant, "What have we gotten ourselves into?"

"Here's the script. Be sure to work on your lines everey day", Auklet said, handing us each a small booklet.

I walked down the hall, thinking about the mystery as I walked.

How coud Oaktail be mixed up in this?

Am I folllowing my feelings insted of the evedince?

How would I react if it turns out he is involved?

I'd been obsessing over my thoughts so much, I forgot to look where I was going and I bumped into a sandwing.

"Oh, sorry Qibli", I appoligised with a laugh.
Qibli was one of the former student who had volenteered to help out at the school.

"No problem, Pelco. You seem to have something on your mind. What is it?"
Qibli seemed like someone I could trust, so, I told him everything that happened, about how everyone seemed to think that Oaktail was responsible exept me.

"How can I proove he didn't do it?", I asked.

"If you want to proove his inocince, find out who the attacker is, solve this mystery."

"But, how? I don't even know what I'm doing?", I asked.

"Follow the clues, go where-ever the evidence takes you."
He smiled at me.

"You got this, Pelco."

I continued walking down the hall, this time, more confident than before.

So, if I want to solve the mystery, I need to talk to the really attcker.

As if on cue, just ahead of me was the hooded figure.

He spotted me and begain to run.

"Wait! I just want to talk to you!"

The dragon ran down one of the stairways that led deeper into the mountain.
I followed him, doging anything in my way.

I had almost caught up to him, when I found myself falling.

A/N: Annother coat-hanger... I mean cliff-hanger (bum bum bum)

The next chapter is going to be really funny so-
