A captain of the Calbridge Division of the Drisian army, he shows up at Avalyn's doorstep with an offer on behalf of King Krugmann. He speaks highly of the Drisian ruler. Although he introduces himself as Captain Reylan to the sorceress and most of his Drisian comrades know him by that name, he later tells the sorceress that she can call him by his alias, Emric, which is a Midaelian name.
