Sorry to disappoint again

Nobody pines for the listener

A thrill I've failed to deliver

---

Falling, darkness, abyss.

The sickening sound of bones breaking was heard, and she could feel her legs crumple.

Pain shot up her legs, and she fell to her knees, laying her head on the stone-cold floor before her vision faded.

---

Her eyes fluttered open, seeing something or someone towering over her.

Focusing her vision, she saw a dark-skinned boy with chocolate brown eyes and shaggy coal hair.

She also saw an old man, with a long beard that weirdly smelled of tea.

''What happened?'' She asked, confused. She tried to sit up, but the old man gently pushed her back down.

''You fell, and you broke both of your legs.'' The old man replied.

(Y/n)'s eyes grew wide. ''I-I did?!''

''Yeah, let's go.'' The shaggy-haired male said, starting to walk out of the cave.

''Cole, would you be so kind to help her? I am an old man, it's wise to respect your elders.'' The old man said, looking at (Y/n).

''Cole'' groaned, and walked over to her, wrapping an arm around her back while she awkwardly got up.

The three began walking, to who knows where.

---

After walking up the steps to a Monastery, and opening the gates, the trio went inside.

Two people were already there, in black ninja gi.

Turning around, they saw the trio. ''Master Wu!'' Said one, taking off his mask. He had short, straight, reddish-brown hair, with a notch on his right eyebrow. His electric blue eyes sparkled as he looked at (Y/n) and Cole, he blinked.

''Who are they, Master Wu?'' One asked, taking off his mask. He had blue eyes, lighter than the firsts'. He had platinum blond hair, and he wore a straight expression.

''Zane, Jay, meet Cole and...'' Wu started, looking at her as if asking for her name.

''(L/n). (Y/n) (L/n).'' She replied, lowering her gaze.

Cole walked her over to a chair facing the courtyard. He then put her down into it and walked inside.

Master Wu stroked his beard. ''Jay, Zane, Cole and (Y/n), look after the monastery.'' He said, holding a bamboo staff.

''Wait, you're leaving us, again?!'' Jay exclaimed.

The old man nodded. ''Be good.''

He then walked out of the monastery, with the trio watching him.

(Y/n) sighed, wincing as she felt the pain in her legs.

Jay turned to her. ''You okay?'' He asked, hesitantly.

''No, I'm not.'' (Y/n) answered softly. ''I broke both of my legs.''

His expression grew concerned. ''Maybe you should lay down.''

''I can't, my legs are broken, didn't you hear? I can only crawl.'' (Y/n) replied, looking at her feet.

''This is going to be a bit difficult...'' Jay mumbled to himself as he tried to help her up. Zane walked over, and tried to help, ending up with the ninja on both sides of (Y/n). They then carried her to the bedroom, laying her down on a bed.

Cole walked in, before seeing (Y/n) on his bed.

''Erm, isn't there another bedroom?'' He asked.

''Oh, I forgot about that, sorry.'' Jay apologised, rubbing the back of his head. He then attempted to pull her out of bed, ending up with him on the floor. ''Ouch.''

Cole rolled his eyes, lifting her out of bed and carrying her bridal style. ''Where to?'' He asked.

Jay got up and walked out of the room, with (Y/n) in Cole's arms following him.

Finally, they came to a room, smaller than theirs.

Cole dumped her onto the bed, the wood creaking as it bent slightly from the sudden weight.

The two walked away, leaving (Y/n) alone.

She stared at the ceiling, before closing her eyes.

---

The wind whipped at her (h/l) (h/c) hair, making her eyes sting.

She looked towards the sky, which had a variety of fiery hues as the sun began to sink below the horizon. That meant nightfall was coming soon, and if she didn't act quickly, she would be left in the freezing cold night.

Almost slipping on a pebble, she hiked up the hill. Low shrubs grew in between rocks, while in the distance, a falcon screeched. A boulder split in half by a growing bush stood in front of her, blocking her way.

''Well, might as well take the detour.'' She said, turning the other way.

Suddenly, the ground below her began to shift and crack under her feet. She looked down, seeing a small divide between the ground she was on and the cliff.

It then broke away, and gravity favoured the split part of the cliff, while she was left to freefall.

---

Hearing footsteps, (Y/n) woke up.

Then, there was a crash as Zane appeared.

''What's going on?'' She asked.

''There's an intruder.'' He told her, wearing his black ninja gi. He then ran outside with his shurikens.

(Y/n) groaned in frustration and began to make her way outside, by crawling of course.

When she was outside, she saw a boy with spiky hair and wearing red pyjamas use the training equipment to fight the others.

It ended up with him being piled on by the others before Wu cried out. ''Stop!''

They got off the stranger, bowing. ''Yes Sensei.'' The boy looked confused.

''Wait a minute, they're your students too?'' The guy in pyjamas asked. Wu nodded. ''This was my final test-''

''Woah, Woah Woah Woah, you never said anything about a fourth,'' Jay said. ''It's always three, three blind mice, three musketeers, three-''

Kai glanced at him, before looking at (Y/n).

''What he's trying to say Sensei Wu is, that the three of us have trained together, we're solid,'' Cole spoke.

''Didn't look so solid to me.'' Kai retorted, crossing his arms.

''Master, what is the meaning of this?'' Zane asked.

''Each of you have been chosen, each entombed with elemental properties,'' Wu answered, looking at them. ''But first, Ninja go!'' He cried out, making a golden tornado appear. It then moved over to the group of ninja, changing the colours of their gis except for Cole's.

(Y/n) lowered her head, seeing as he didn't turn her clothes into a ninja gi. While the others were distracted, she crawled back into her room.

Staring at the ceiling once more, it took longer for her eyes to grow tired for rest.

---

After the ninja had regained the golden weapons and Nya, they returned to the Monastery.

Nya ran into the room, while the boys were playing games.

''Guys, Lord Garmadon, He's returned!'' She exclaimed. ''He was spotted approaching Jamanakai Village!''

The ninja panicked, bumping into each other. Nya crossed her arms, before walking over to Jay and giving his nunchucks to him.

''U-uh thanks, uhh..'' Jay stuttered.

''Hurry!'' She said.

''Okay!'' He replied, putting his mask on.

The Ninja went to their dragons, hopping onto them clumsily.

Nya and (Y/n) watched them, with (Y/n) using a stick to hold herself up so she could stand. ''Uh, can we help?'' Nya asked.

''Sorry sis, (Y/n), where we go, danger abounds.'' He told the girls. ''This is a job for the ninja.''

He reached for the reins, but couldn't get them. ''A little help?'' He asked. Nya grabbed the reins and gave it to him.

Watching them fly away, (Y/n) sighed. ''Will they ever reach their full potential?'' Nya asked Sensei Wu.

''In time,'' Wu answered. ''Maybe a long time, but in time.''

''If only I were useful.'' (Y/n) murmured, and Nya helped her walk up the steps to the Monastery.

---

After dealing with Lloyd Garmadon instead of Lord Garmadon, the ninja readied their dragons for the trip back to the Monastery.

Kai hopped onto his dragon, accidentally making two scrolls fall out of the saddlebag. One rolled away, out of sight.

Zane picked up the scroll and gave it to Kai.

''Huh? I don't remember putting this here.'' Kai said, confused.

''That's Sensei's bag, you must've accidentally took it in the rush,'' Zane replied. Kai opened the scroll, and Jay walked over.

''What is it?'' Jay asked.

''It's a scroll, windbag,'' Kai replied. (In Cole's voice XD)

''I know it's a scroll, but what does it say?'' Jay said. ''It's written in chicken scratch.''

Cole saw the second scroll and went to get it. Once he opened it he was greeted with the image of a ninja in an orange gi. Mountains served as the background, with foxes that had more than one tail in the background. Strange lettering sat at the bottom of the image, serving some purpose, but what? And why?

He blinked. ''Hey guys, you should check this out.'' He said, making the others turn around.

''Yeah, what is it?'' Kai asked.

Before he could show them, a strange wind picked up the second scroll and carried it away. The ninja watched, confused.

''Should we go after it?'' Jay asked.

''Doesn't seem important,'' Cole said, shrugging before climbing onto his dragon.

Kai was the last to leave. ''Could I be the green ninja?'' He asked himself.

---

(Y/n) watched Nya on the training equipment. She smiled for her friend, but inside, she wished she didn't have broken legs.

Seeing the boys come in and Nya gets knocked down by an axe that faced downwards, she saw Jay rush over to her. ''H-hey Nya, closer to beating your brother's speed record?'' He asked. He helped her up.

''I'm getting there,'' Nya replied. ''I heard what happened in town, just a false alarm?''

''Yeah, um, but we're going to need the space. Sorry, sis.'' Kai said, putting his hand on her shoulder.

Cole grabbed the kendo outfits, thinking about the prophecy. He tossed a helmet to Jay, which bounced off the back of his head. ''Two matches, then the winners of each faceoff for the title. Armour's for our own protection. It's time to see what these babies can do.'' He said, holding up his scythe.

Kai looked back at his sister. ''Hey Nya, wanna stay and watch me mop the floor with them?'' He asked.

''No thanks, I think I'll just visit Jamanakai village with (Y/n). Knock yourselves out.'' She said, grabbing (Y/n)'s hand and helping her up. The two then headed to Jamanakai village.

---

''Being in a boys club is boring,'' Nya said to (Y/n). She nodded.

''Tell me about it. I had Zane walk in when I was brushing my teeth.'' (Y/n) replied.

''It could've been something worse,'' Nya said, shrugging.

The two walked to a fruit stall, before hearing villagers shout in fear and run into their homes. ''What now?'' Nya asked.

They turned to see Lloyd, hauling a cart full of candy. ''Take the candy!'' He shouted. ''Take it all!'' He then attempted an evil laugh.

Behind him, were two hypnobrai serpentine.

The hypnobrai looked at the villagers, bringing them under control with their hypnotic stare.

''Hide!'' Nya said, grabbing (Y/n)'s hand and pulling her behind a fruit stall.

''This makes no sense, general, raiding an entire town for sweets?'' A hypnobrai asked the one with the golden staff.

''You will do as I command because I hold the staff.'' The general replied.

---

Lloyd pushed the cart of candy. ''Hahaha! I'm never coming down from this sugar high! Whooo!'' He was interrupted by the appearance of the ninja.

''Sorry to bust your buzz, little Garmadon,'' Cole said.

''But it's already past your bedtime,'' Jay added.

Lloyd turned around. ''Get them!'' He ordered the serpentine general.

The serpentine general's tail rattled. ''Seize them!'' He ordered.

''The serpentine, they're real?'' Kai asked.

The ninja were surrounded by snakes and hypnotised villagers.

''The whole village's been hypnotised,'' Cole said.

Jay began to swing his nunchucks, and Zane ran over to pull his arm down. ''No, our weapons are too unstable, we can do more harm than good.'' He told the mouth of lightning.

''I guess that leaves us with run!'' Jay shouted, and the ninja got out of there.

Finding a place to hide, Nya appeared. (Y/n) shortly appeared after, climbing down a rope that hung from a roof. Nya steadied her, helping her stand.

''Nya, (Y/n), you're okay!'' Jay said happily.

''Barely, they hypnotised everyone in town,'' Nya replied.

''Mind control. How is this possible?'' Jay asked the others.

''When you hear them rattle their tails, don't look them in the eyes, that's how they get you,'' Nya advised them.

''Well, what are we supposed to do? We can't use our weapons, and now we gotta fight with our eyes closed?'' Jay said. ''Hah, perfect.''

''The snake with the staff is the general, he's the one in charge. If we can get the staff from him, it holds the antivenom. If we get that, we can save everyone.'' Nya told the boys.

''Look, guys, forget about the whole green ninja thing, let's make Sensei proud. The four of us.'' Kai said. ''We're a team.''

''Now you're talking,'' Cole replied.

''And Nya, (Y/n), you can be our honourary members,'' Jay said.

(Y/n) crossed her arms, while Nya did the same. ''Gee, thanks.''

The ninja went to defeat the serpentine, with (Y/n) on the ground and attacking any serpentine that got too close with her stick.

After Zane used his shurikens to tip over Lloyd's cart of candy, the son of Garmadon called for a retreat.

Cole leapt into the air, kicking the general and making him lose grip on the staff.

It landed between them, and Cole stared down the serpentine general. ''Go ahead, give me a reason.'' He challenged the serpentine general.

The general quickly slithered away, and Cole picked up the staff, before seeing a hypnobrai look him in the eyes. ''Look into my eyes, I control you.''

''You control-'' Cole started, but Nya came in and kicked the serpentine in the face.

The Master of Earth began to walk away. ''You have the antivenom!'' (Y/n) shouted to him.

Cole looked at her, before looking at the staff. ''By golly you're right.''

''Quick! The fountain!'' Nya said.

''Good idea,'' Cole replied, running to the fountain and placing the staff down.

A light blue mist appeared, spilling down the edges of the fountain and curing the villagers of the hypnobrai's control.

''When am I going to get my own dragon?'' Nya asked Sensei Wu.

''Patience, Nya,'' Wu replied. ''Your time will come.''

I'm still questioning wherever to have (Y/n)'s legs be broken or not.

:P
