Nya took the covers off a skeleton.

''Some villagers unearthed the remains of this Fangpyre a few miles away. It predates the Golden Age and must be hundreds of years old.'' Nya told them.

''Although the venom in the fangs of the Fangpyre genetically mutate human cells into reptilian, I've learned there could be a way to stop the effects without having to create an antivenom.'' She brought out a blue laser pointer to point to the long fangs of the skeleton.

Kai leaned back in his chair, holding a pen. Zane listened and took notes while the Falcon sat there. Cole drew on his paper, of him with his scythe fighting. In the background was a figure clothed in orange.

Jay looked at Nya, infatuated, he had a fancy new hairstyle. (Y/n) sat at the table, sketching the falcon and also taking notes.

''If one is able to wildly raise their heart rate, hypothetically it could reverse the venom's effects.'' She said before her cheeks turned pink. She sniffed. ''Resulting in...diminished, uh, excuse me, is someone wearing perfume?'' Nya asked. ''I'm severely allergic to perfume.''

''You know I never wear it, ever since the fire-'' (Y/n) spoke, before stopping and looking away.

''Heh.'' Jay turned to Kai. ''You told me it was men's cologne.'' He whispered to Kai.

''Meh, I get them mixed up,'' Kai replied dismissively. The others laughed, except for the girls, and Jay. Zane and Kai bumped fists. The nindroid flipped open his control panel and turned the humour switch off.

''Ah, looks like class is over. Time to start stomping some Serpentine before they find any Fangblades.'' Cole said, closing his book and standing up, the others doing the same.

''Sounds like a plan,'' Kai said, walking out of the room.

''I'm excited to join,'' Zane added, following them. (Y/n) used her wheelchair to go out of the room. Jay waited until they were gone, turning to Nya and walking over to her.

''Uh, hey uh, Nya, I'm sorry. The reason I was-you know-I went to Kai because-look. What I'm trying to say is-'' Jay stuttered, nervous.

''I know. It's just a cruel joke. I should be fine. Please, go fight snakes.'' Nya replied, turning to him.

''No, no, no, no. I was trying to impress you. Before Sensei left, he said our heart was the key to unlocking our True Potential.'' The mouth of lightning replied.

''Impress me? But I look so...'' Nya said, blushing.

''Fantastic.'' Jay finished her sentence. Nya began to play with her hair absentmindedly. ''Look, maybe, if you'll let me, I can take you to some big fancy restaurant. You don't have to if you don't want to...'' He said, smiling.

''You mean like a date?'' Nya asked.

''Um, yeah?'' Jay replied, unsure.

''Sure! I'd love to. But I have to go now before the perfume toxins enter my bloodstream and I go into shock. See you tonight.'' She told Jay, before walking out of the room.

''Yes!'' Jay exclaimed, overjoyed. He danced, before pricking his finger on the fang of the skeleton. ''Ow! Aah! Man.'' He said, in pain.

(Y/n) came in, in the wheelchair. Jay looked over at her, holding his injured hand. ''What do you need, (Y/n)?'' He asked her.

''Just grabbing something, I believe it was the falcon sketch.'' She said, looking for it.

Jay looked at the table and picked it up. ''Is this it?'' He asked.

(Y/n) looked over at him, smiling as she saw the sketch in his hand. ''Thank you.'' She replied, taking it. She saw his injured hand, and he hid it behind his back. ''Are you alright?'' (Y/n) asked, concerned.

''Yeah, yeah, I'm fine,'' Jay replied dismissively. ''Uh, do you have any advice I need? 'Cause it'd help.''

''For your date?'' (Y/n) asked, the memory of last night coming back to mind. ''Yeah, just be yourself, and don't listen to Kai for advice next time.''

''(Y/n)!'' Jay groaned. ''Too late now.''

''And are you going to try and cure yourself of that Fangpyre venom?'' She asked.

''I'm sure it's fine, now, I'll go and prepare myself for my date. Bye.'' Jay replied, walking out of the room.

''Whoa, where are you going, Mr. Fancy?'' Cole asked as Jay walked into the room, wearing a red and blue scarf around his neck.

''Didn't you hear? I'm taking Nya to a nice restaurant. A really nice restaurant.'' Jay replied, confident.

''You might wanna change your plans. The bridge just picked up evidence of Serpentine activity over at Mega Monster Amusement Park.'' Kai said, showing a photo of Skales taking a photo of Pythor, his neck stretched out and posing with a family.

''Hey, that's Pythor,'' Jay replied, looking at the monitor.

''Pythor would not be there for fun. We believe a Fangblade may be buried underneath the park.'' Zane said, making the others turn their heads towards him.

''We can't let them get it! Oh, but my date...'' Jay replied in despair.

''Jay, if they get all four of them, Pythor can unleash the Great Devourer. Get your priorities straight, man.'' Kai told Jay.

A lightbulb seemed to go off over Jay's head before he walked out of the room.

(Y/n) was at Mega Monster Amusement Park, doing stuff to keep herself occupied. The boys were busy doing stuff, while Jay and Nya were out on a date, leaving her alone.

Seeing Nya run out of the restaurant, she stopped her. ''Trouble?'' She asked, and Nya nodded.

''Go and keep Jay busy while I handle this,'' Nya said, running off.

''Gotcha, captain.'' (Y/n) saluted, before going into the restaurant.

Jay walked out of the bathroom and saw Nya gone. ''She left? Nya?'' He asked, looking around. His skin was slightly green, with a few scales.

(Y/n) came up to him in her wheelchair. ''I saw her leave in a hurry, I don't know why.'' (Y/n) replied.

''Snake!'' A person exclaimed, pointing at Jay. Everyone stopped to look at him, with a woman holding her bread above her head. They began to circle Jay, and (Y/n) spread her arms, shielding him from them.

The woman with the bread started to hit her with the bread, before Remo appeared, pushing her away and tripping the customers with a ham sandwich on a stick. He then ate it, stick and all.

''Remo! Be careful!'' (Y/n) scolded the little snake, covering her head with her hands.

It took a while for the three to escape, but when they did, Jay ran towards the door of the bathroom went in, coming out with his scarf wrapped around his head. '''Do not go in there. He bites. This is not dinner theatre, people. It's real! Arm yourselves.'' He said to the crowd, (Y/n) following him in her wheelchair to the exit.

When they were outside, Jay looked for Nya. But he couldn't find her. (Y/n) had seen his snake condition get worse, while Remo made a hiss that sounded like a laugh.

The three looked over to see Serpentine, with Pythor holding the first Fangblade. ''Hey!'' He called out, making them turn to him. He swung his nunchucks, and the Serpentine caught sight of the snake tail that had started to grow.

The Serpentine laughed, seeing this. ''Oh, what happened? Snakebite your tongue?'' Pythor asked, holding the Fangblade.

(Y/n) let out a cry as she was dragged from her wheelchair, with Remo trying to smack the Constrictai holding her in the face. It proved useless as she was put up in chains, and put in the seat of the rollercoaster behind Nya.

Jay turned towards the two girls, and Pythor signaled a Constrictai to start the rollercoaster.

''Later, alligator. Let's go, boys.'' Pythor said, slithering away with the Serpentine.

The Lightning Ninja leaped onto the ride, holding on to a handlebar. ''What happened to you?'' Nya asked, looking at him.

(Y/n) was silent, thinking. She bit her lip as she looked ahead.

''What happened to you?'' Jay asked her. He spotted a broken part of the track with a ring of fire. ''Unh, we have to get you out of here.'' He said, trying to get the chains off.

Nya saw his little snake tail. ''Were you bit? Take off your headscarf.'' She told him.

''I prefer not. I was meaning to tell you, but I didn't want it to ruin the date.'' Jay replied.

''Oh, that's so sweet. Hey, you were the first in your 'Lil Scouts group to get your knot badge, right?'' Nya asked, looking at him.

''Yeah, about that, I made that up just so I could impress you. I was never in 'Lil Scouts.'' The lightning ninja said.

''You weren't?'' She asked.

''Hold on!'' (Y/n) exclaimed, holding onto the handlebars.

''What? You have an idea?'' Jay asked, looking at her.

''No, hold on!'' Nya said, looking ahead. Jay got into the seat next to Nya, and the three held on. The Mouth of Lightning's scarf came off in the wind, and Nya looked at him. (Y/n) facepalmed.

''Aah! Don't look at me! I'm a monster.'' He looked away from Nya. ''Though I hate the Samurai, where is he when you actually need him? Samurai! Help! Help! Samurai!'' Jay shouted.

''I think it's about time you tell him.'' (Y/n) told Nya.

''Jay, I don't think the Samurai is coming,'' Nya said to Jay, looking at him.

''Why?''

''I know this might not be the best time, but I haven't been totally honest either,'' Nya admitted.

''What is it?''

''I...I'm the Samurai!''

''You're the Samurai!? Aah! We're running out of track.'' Jay exclaimed in disbelief.

''Jay, if anything horrible were to happen, I want you to know that you don't have to wear cologne or pretend to be anything that you're not. Because I like you best when you're you.'' Suddenly, Jay turned back into a human. ''Your face. You're returning back to normal.'' Nya said, looking at him.

''It's just like you said. You must have raised my heart rate.'' He replied. Glancing back at (Y/n), he smiled.

''Whatever happens next, just remember, you are the best you.'' She said.

The Lightning Ninja stood up as his Nunchucks began to surge with more power than before. ''What's happening?'' (Y/n) asked.

''My True Potential.'' He answered, turning into pure electricity and seemingly teleporting to the front of the train, stopping it before it reached the ring of fire.

(Y/n) smiled. ''Great work, Jay, take a rest,''

Jay mumbled in response, exhausted.

Nya held (Y/n) in her arms, and placed her in the wheelchair.

''You really had me fooled. I never guessed you were the Samurai.'' Zane told Nya.

''I wished I had a sister like you,'' Cole said with a smile.

''Technically, I was the first to discover her secret, and didn't we agree whoever we thought was the best would naturally be the Green Ninja? Huh? The Green Ninja! The destined Ninja to defeat Lord Garmadon, huh?'' Kai spoke, smug. (Y/n) rolled her eyes at the mention of this.

''Why would we say that?'' Jay asked.

''Yeah, I'm drawing a blank,'' Cole added.

''Nope. That conversation is not in my database.'' The Ice Ninja said with a blank face.

''Why are you even concerned about this?'' (Y/n) asked Kai, who rolled his eyes in response.

''You know what I learned today?'' Jay asked the others.

''What's that?'' Nya asked.

''No matter what kind of secret you have, whether you're a snake or a samurai, it's important to be yourself.'' The Lightning Ninja answered.

''Yeah, that's cute, but you wanna know what I learned? The Serpentine now have the first Fangblade.'' Cole retorted in a bored tone.

''But we are getting stronger. One day, we will all reach our True Potential and Pythor will be stopped.'' Zane replied, determined.

''And we figured out all this without Sensei. Pretty good for four Ninja. Jay said, and Nya punched him. ''And a Samurai.'' He added.

(Y/n) raised an eyebrow, deciding whether to punch him to remind him she was also there. She then decided to correct him. ''Don't forget, a girl with a dream.''

Jay rubbed his nape. ''Heh, sorry.'' He rubbed the spot where Nya had punched him.

''I wonder what Sensei is doing now,'' Kai spoke to himself.

''Knowing him, he'd probably be someplace drinking tea.'' (Y/n) replied.

(Y/n) readied herself for bed, yawning when she heard the floorboards creak. ''Who's there?'' She asked

Someone opened the door and popped their head in. Jay.

''What do you need, Jay?'' (Y/n) asked, stifling a yawn.

''Uh, I'd like to say thanks.'' He admitted.

''For what?''

''Well, back at Mega Monster Amusement Park, you helped me achieve my True Potential.'' He replied.

''Nah, it was all Nya, I was just... there. You know?'' (Y/n) asked.

He chuckled. ''At least it was good to know you had my back in the restaurant, I don't think I would've made it out alive without your help.''

She nodded. ''I got something to show you.'' (Y/n) used her wheelchair to go over to her desk, and pull out a half-burnt book. She then flipped through it, finally finding what she was looking for and carefully taking it out.

(Y/n) then came back over to Jay, who looked at the piece of paper in her hand, curious. She handed it to him, and he looked at it. It was a drawing of him and Nya, together.

''The old one got burned.'' (Y/n) said, putting the half-burnt book away.

''It's nice, really nice, thank you (Y/n).'' He replied, grinning.

''I spend too much time in my room practicing, I should go out more often.'' (Y/n) admitted, before Jay pulled her into a hug.

(Y/n) blushed, feeling her cheeks get hot. When Jay pulled away, he scratched his head. ''I guess it's time to sleep?'' Jay asked.

''Yeah, sweet dreams, don't let the bed bugs bite!'' (Y/n) answered with a mischievous grin.

Jay chuckled. ''See ya,'' he spoke, before closing the door and walking away.

(Y/n) got into bed and stared at the ceiling. It took her some time before she finally drifted off to sleep.

It's not even Season 8 yet and I'm imagining Jay with the freckles.

There are many perks to having two computers ;)

Alright, I'm tired, it's time to go to bed.
