You turned into a foe without a warning

You were like a breath of a fresh new morning

But you turned into a nightmare without trying

Never thought you'd hurt me

Never thought you'd use me

---

All was silent in Ninjago City, the skies dark as night had fallen. A nightguard in the Ninjago History Museum played with the life-like statues, unaware of the ghostly presence.

A woosh was heard, and he became aware, turning on his flashlight and threatening the intruder saying he knew spinjitzu.

His flashlight flickered, before turning off. He then turned it back on.

The Lloyd statue turned to him, part of its arm falling off. "I am the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master.'' It then began repeating the sentence over and over again.

There was a scream as the nightguard turned to face the intruder.

---

The Ninja flew over the sea on their Elemental Dragons searching for a mutant Fangfish.

Kai laughed as he flew past Lloyd.

The Green Ninja laughed. ''Getting ahead of yourself, Kai? Heh. I'm leading this charge.'' He then charged at Kai on his dragon.

''Aah!'' he screamed as Lloyd's dragon used its wing to splash his with water.

Jay laughed. ''That's one way to cool off a hothead.''

''Hey, no one messes up my hair!'' Kai told the others. He then used his dragon to splash Zane.

Zane spat and coughed up water.

Cole laughed. ''You okay there, Zane?'' He asked.

''Affirmative. It'll take more than a little water to take me out.'' Zane answered.

''Oh, what about a big fish? Incoming!'' Jay warned as the giant Fangfish chased them.

''Oh, no!'' Zane screamed as the Fangfish leapt out of the water to bite at his dragon's tail, and missed.

''There he blows!'' Cole exclaimed, looking back at it.

''Based on its weight and size, this is the mutant Fangfish terrorizing the coastal village and depleting their food source,'' Pixal informed Zane.

''Pixal says this is the one.'' The Ice Ninja informed the others.

''And now that he's taken the bait, let's reel him in and get him to the aquarium,'' Lloyd replied.

''Let me guess, Kai. You caught one that big once?'' Jay asked the Porcupine-haired ninja.

''Heck no. He was twice the size.'' The Fire Ninja answered. The Fangfish lunged at him. ''Woah!''

''He's almost as hungry as you, Cole,'' Jay told the Earth Ninja.

''And twice as ugly as you, Jay.'' The Earth Ninja retorted, making the others but Jay and Lloyd laugh.

''It's time for the catch of the day. Inline formation!'' Lloyd ordered the others.

''It's right behind us,'' Cole replied.

''Now!'' The Green Ninja shouted, and the ninja split, making the giant fish land in a boat.

''Now that's what I call hook, line, and stinker,'' Jay said, laughing as they circled the boat.

''Looks like we made this place safe to fish again. If your father was still here, he'd tell you he's proud. You've become a great leader, Lloyd.'' The Fire Ninja told Lloyd as they saw two people buy fishing poles.

''No, we're a great team. Can't say I don't miss him.'' The Green Ninja replied.

''It's working!'' Cole exclaimed.

The fish was dropped into a tank, making water splash everywhere.

''With my dad gone, sometimes I question where I'm going. Sometimes I worry about who I might become.'' Lloyd told Kai.

''I know how that feels. After I lost my dad, I lost my way. But I was lucky to have my sister watch over me. Don't worry, big shot.'' Kai replied, playfully giving the Green Bean a noogie. ''I'll watch over you from now on.''

Lloyd laughed and proceeded to mock Kai's hair. ''Hey, no one messes up my hair.''

''Hey, you two gonna get in the picture?'' Jay asked. ''No one's gonna believe this. Getting a picture. This is awesome!''

''Back. Back just a little further. Just a little further.'' Zane instructed as the photographer inched closer to the edge of the docks.

The photographer snapped a photo before falling into the ocean, screaming. ''Hehe, you guys!''

''Oh, great! Who's gonna believe us now?'' Jay questioned.

The Fangfish then splashed water on the ninja.

''I miss (Y/n),'' Jay told the others.

''So do I, speaking of her, where is she right now?'' Cole asked.

''She's become famous after Chamille was placed in prison for identity theft,'' Zane answered.

''Talk about karma,'' Kai replied, laughing.

~Earlier~

(Y/n) de-summoned her dragon, before hearing screaming in the distance. She turned in the distance to see a crowd of people, holding signs and stampeding towards her.

The Master of Illusion turned and ran, the fans chasing after her like bulls after a matador. Shoes pounding against the pavement, with the rumble of the fans behind her, her breaths fast-paced as the adrenaline flowed through her veins, fueling the need to survive today.

Rounding the corner, she saw more of them, screaming out her name. She looked behind her, seeing the other fans charging towards her.

Suddenly, someone grabbed her hand, pulling out of the way. She fell onto the asphalt, feeling pain graze her leg. She looked up, to see Lucinda, who helped her up.

''You alright?'' The girl asked, looking at the two crowds of fans that had crashed into each other, chuckling.

''Yeah, I'm okay.'' (Y/n) answered, brushing the dust off her gi.

Seeing more of them appear in the distance the Master of Illusion's face grew more and more concerned. ''I can't outrun them forever.''

''I know a place where we can go.''

---

The place turned out to have a line of people waiting for something, with tickets in their hands. The two walked past, and someone snatched the golden coloured ticket from Lucinda's hand.

''Dangit, that was my backstage pass!'' The girl mumbled, and (Y/n) looked back at the person. They wore a green mask, with a black hood to cover most of their face.

Their dark green eyes were familiar, but before the Master of Illusion could think more of it the two were at the front, with people yelling in outrage at the Ticketmaster.

The guy in the box looked at (Y/n), and let the two in. Once they were inside there were people walking towards rows of seats, at the front was a stage with spotlights centred on one spot.

Lucinda showed (Y/n) the way backstage, before leaving her. Then, Dareth appeared, combing his brown hair as he walked towards the girl.

''Oh! (Y/n)? Am I glad to see you, there are so many people waiting for your performance!'' The Brown Ninja exclaimed.

The Master of Illusion gave him a look of confusion. ''Performance?'' She asked.

''You're famous now, and I'm your manager,'' Dareth answered. ''Oh and also your makeup artist.''

''Hang on, I don't need to wear makeup...?'' (Y/n) replied. ''It's probably better to go out and perform.''

''Well go then!'' Dareth exclaimed, putting his hands on (Y/n)'s back to push her towards the stage. ''Make me proud.''

''Anything I need to know?''

''Tough crowd, the band members you used to have quit. That's all!''

The Master of Illusion stepped onto the stage, feeling the eyes of many people turned on her quivering figure.

She looked back at Dareth, who gave a reassuring smile, but it didn't help the fact that people were watching her at the moment, judging her, wondering why this train wreck of a girl was on the stage.

Taking a deep breath, she looked at the audience, avoiding their gaze and instead focusing on their hair or something that wasn't their eyes.

Her hand reached out for the microphone, still on its stand and grabbed it, grasping it in her shaking hands.

''You can do it, you can do it...'' She told herself, lifting the microphone to her lips. Taking another deep breath her nerves calmed enough for her to speak.

''Uh, hi, I'm (Y/n) (L/n).'' The girl spoke, the crowd looked bored, already wanting action. ''I'm guessing you don't want my backstory, so I'll sing for you now.''

Some of the people leaned back in their seats, yawning while a few coughed, filling the silence that hung in the air.

An instrumental began to play as if someone had read her mind. She began tapping her feet along to the beat waiting for the right moment to sing. Then, it came.

''You turned into a foe without a warning,'' The crowd's eyes brightened, becoming interested.

''You were a breath of a fresh new morning,''

''Then you turn into a nightmare without trying,''

''Never thought you'd hurt me, never thought you'd use me,''

As the Master of Illusion continued singing, shapes formed from the mist that had begun to appear, spilling over the edge of the stage.

The crowd gasped as a form shaped like a bird, though transparent appeared, spreading its wings and soaring over the audience's heads.

The apparent stranger in the crowd smirked beneath his mask, feeling the internal struggle of the Green Ninja inside his mind.

When (Y/n) finished singing she disappeared backstage, and the stranger got up from his seat, showing his stolen backstage pass to the security guard, who let him pass.

The Master of Illusion stood alone, running her hands through her hair and letting herself reflect on what happened.

The stranger pulled down his mask and hood, and (Y/n) turned to him, hearing his footsteps. ''Mor-Lloyd?'' She asked, looking at him. He smiled, walking closer to her as she stood still facing him.

''You were right the first time.'' Spoke the voice of Morro, gentle as a breeze.

''How'd you escape? How'd you-'' The Master of Illusion's lips stopped as Morro put a gentle finger on them.

''I will explain everything later.'' The moss-eyed ghost warrior told her, carefully bringing her into his embrace. The girl looked down, and Morro lifted her chin so he could see her eyes.

He then pressed his lips to hers, sighing as he felt her soft lips. She returned the favour, and when they were finished, Morro pulled out of the kiss and looked deep into her eyes.

''That was for when Bizarro Kai kissed you, my Queen.'' He told her, seeing the whites of her eyes slowly tint green.

(Y/n) blinked, her eyes turning to normal, and backed away slowly. ''Why...?'' She asked.

Morro's eyes flickered to bright green ones, Lloyd's. ''Run...!'' He spoke before Morro regained control. (Y/n) turned and ran, hearing the Master of Wind yell out after her.

Bursting through the doors, she ran through the crowd of fans who eagerly parted, closing in on Morro and giving her more time.

Once she was outside, she tried to summon her dragon, only to find she couldn't. She then saw a couple of motorcycles parked nearby, and she got on one and drove off as Morro appeared.

Hearing a screech, she looked up, to see the Master of Wind on his dragon, following her. The dragon screeched again as it dived at her.

---

The wind blew sinisterly, clouds began to appear as the windmill began to turn.

''If your powers are gone, then something must have happened to...'' Wu started, and the ninja heard a motorcycle engine in the distance.

(Y/n) stopped, stumbling as she got off the motorcycle. Cole steadied her, and they looked to see the cloaked stranger.

Taking off their hood, who they thought was Lloyd looked back at them, his eyes narrowed.

''It's Lloyd!'' A girl exclaimed.

''I know that wind...That's not Lloyd.'' Wu told the others.

''Step aside,'' Morro commanded.

''Lloyd! What's wrong with you?'' Jay asked.

''I want a word with your master.'' The Ghost Warrior Possessing The Green Bean answered.

Jay noticed his voice became deeper. ''Whoa, Lloyd's gone through puberty.''

''What's gotten into him?'' Cole questioned Zane.

''I sense some kind of foreign entity has taken over his body. So the question isn't what, but who's gotten into him?'' Zane asked.

''Whoever you are, whatever beef you had with Sensei, you have with us. Give us back our friend!'' Kai told him.

Possessed Green Bean only cracked his neck and laughed.

''How are we supposed to fight a friend?'' The Earth Ninja asked.

''Let me show you!'' He shouted, his blond hair turning jet black. His skin turned green and he ran toward the ninja. Using his wind, he blew them off their feet.

Morro cackled, and (Y/n) rose to her feet like the others. The kiss the Spooky Master of Wind gave her must've affected her somehow because when she was further away from him her powers began to weaken.

''Great, we don't have powers, but he does?'' The Master of Lightning asked the others.

The ninja then charged at him, but Morro kicked and punched them away from him before they could affect him.

''We may not have powers, but we still know a little thing called Spinjitzu!'' Cole told the others, using spinjitzu and charging at Morro, only for the Master of Wind to use his powers, knocking him into the wall. ''Ninja, go! Whoa! Ugh.''

''So not only does he have powers, but he can control the wind, too?'' The Lightning Ninja asked, and (Y/n) nodded.

''Take the truck! Get them out of here now! Nya, we need to leave too.'' Wu told the soon to be discovered Water Ninja.

''But this is our place. Tell me, Sensei. What's happened to Lloyd?'' Nya asked.

''There's no time,'' Wu replied.

Jay used spinjitzu, the wind lifting him into the air, and Morro sent a gust of wind his way, making him lose control and fall onto the ground.

''Our Spinjitzu is worthless against the wind,'' Kai told the others as Zane ran past, his shurikens in his hand.

''Shurikens? Cute. Try this on for size!'' Morro shouted, using his wind to break off the propellers of a windmill.

Spinning like a shuriken, the propellers hit the ninja, scattering them. Kai groaned as he landed near the girl and her parents, who looked at him.

''Get up. Please. Ninja never quit.'' The girl pleaded. Kai got up and clutched his sore left arm as the girl and her parents left with Misako.

Morro glanced at (Y/n), who looked at him, betrayal in her (e/c) eyes. He then turned to Cole, using his wind to bring the Master of Earth towards him, before punching him away.

The Master of Wind summoned a whirlwind, once again scattering the ninja and opening the doors to the tea shop, scaring Nya.

''Get out!'' Nya shouted.

''Go stock some shelves before you get hurt,'' Morro replied.

''I'll take you on any time.'' The Samurai Girl challenged.

''Stay back, Nya. It's me he wants.'' Wu told Nya.

''Not you. Just your father's staff.'' The spooky boy replied.

''I see you've found the Allied Armor, Morro, yet you haven't summoned your friends,'' Wu said, pointing his staff at his former student.

''Your pathetic students haven't given me a reason to.'' The Master of Wind replied.

''Hey, hey, hey! No one calls me pathetic!'' Jay shouted, angry.

Morro then slammed the doors, leaving the ninja outside.

''You want the staff? Try to take it.'' Wu told him, struggling to keep the staff in his grasp.

Morro grunted ''You've gotten old. You used to be a great Sensei. Now you're just a petty shopkeeper.'' He taunted the sensei.

''With age comes wisdom.'' The old master replied, pushing off the tea shelf and the staff fell out of his hands, clattering as it rolled. Wu gasped. ''A secret message engraved on the staff.''

''The staff of the First Spinjitzu Master,'' Morro replied, using his wind to grab the staff only for Nya to knock him down with a shelf.

''I do more than stock shelves,'' Nya told him.

Wu caught the staff in his hand. ''Yes. Now we leave.''

''To the barn!'' Nya shouted.

''I am not running away from Lloyd!'' Kai told his sister.

''We will not win this fight today,'' Wu replied, and they hurried to the barn.

''Give me the staff!'' Morro shouted as he got the shelf off him.

The Destiny's Bounty appeared from behind the shop, flying. The Ninja watched from the rails seeing the Fire Ninja alone, facing the tea shop.

''Oh, is he crazy?'' Jay asked, watching as Morro broke down the doors to the shop.

The Master of Wind possessing Lloyd ran and grabbed Kai by his shirt. ''Foolish Ninja. Why would you try to take me on all by yourself?''

''Because I promised to look after Lloyd,'' Kai answered.

''Where's my brother?'' Nya asked, running to the rail.

''He's fighting the Green Ninja,'' Jay answered.

''Alone.'' The ninja said at once.

''I know you're in there, Lloyd. Fight him!'' Kai urged Lloyd, getting a hold on him.

''We gotta do something,'' Nya told the others.

''The staff is getting away. Let go of me!'' Morro demanded.

Kai grunted. ''Only when you let go of Lloyd!'' He replied.

Lloyd's voice was heard instead of Morro's. ''Kai...'' He said weakly.

''Huh?'' The Fire Ninja asked, looking at him.

''Help me...'' The Green Ninja pleaded.

''Lloyd? Is that you?'' Kai asked, before the Bounty's anchor dropped down, picking him up as it dragged on the ground. ''Wait, let me go!'' The Fire Ninja shouted as the anchor was lifted up.

''A perfect wedgie!'' Cole exclaimed.

''I saw Lloyd!'' Kai told him as Morro regained his control over Lloyd. ''Put me down! Let me go!''

''You won't get away that easy.'' The Master of Wind said, using his wind to pull the Bounty towards him.

''We have to go back,'' Kai told his sister as the Bounty tilted on an angle.

''Sorry, brother. That's what I'm trying to avoid. Oh, no!'' Nya replied as she lost her footing.

''Give me your hand!'' Her brother said, grabbing her hand and tossing her back to the wheel.

''I've got it!'' Nya told her brother, pulling the lever and flew away from Morro.

''NOOOOOOO!'' The Master of Wind screamed.

''Whew, that was close. The coast is clear.'' Nya told the others, the red dot on the map getting further and further away.

''Spill it, Sensei. What just happened back there, and what have they done to my friend?'' Jay asked his sensei, turning to him.

''Yeah, Sensei. Who was that?'' Cole asked.

The old sensei sighed. ''You four were not my first pupils. There was one before you.''

''Huh?'' Kai asked, confused.

''What?'' Cole questioned.

''Morro, the Master of Wind.'' (Y/n) and Wu answered, speaking at the same time. Jay looked spooked.

''Okay, now those lights scare me. We got something on our six. Looks like your Master of Wind just caught his second wind.'' Nya told the others, seeing the red dot catch up to the Bounty.

Nearby, a dragon screeched.
