I don't need you to believe in me

I know how to change my destiny

Sit down about to rewrite our history, rewrite our history, rewrite our history

---

The Ninja woke up in a cloud, and (Y/n) patted the cloud beneath her. ''Weird.''

''Did we make it?'' Kai asked, and the others groaned as they sat up.

''The Cloud kingdom,'' Cole told the others.

''Now, let's find this Sword of Sanctuary,'' Jay replied.

---

At the summit of the Wailing Alps, Bansha, Morro and Soul Archer looked at the Blind Man's Eye.

''Ugh, those cursed Ninja. I need to get to Cloud Kingdom now!'' The Ghostly Wind Master demanded.

''Patience, Morro. Wanting to get to the Cloud Kingdom will not bring its portal any closer.'' Soul Archer told him.

''But I hate waiting. It's beneath me. If the Ninja get the Sword of Sanctuary before we do, they'll have the upper hand.'' Morro replied.

''I've never known you to worry.'' Soul Archer said, floating behind the Master of Wind.

''It's this incessant boy trying to break free of my possession,'' Morro told them, grunting.

''You will not have to wait any longer, Morro,'' Bansha spoke.

''But how?'' The Bow Skilled Ghost asked. ''The gateway won't pass for hours.''

''Let's just say I'm in contact with someone willing to leave the back door open.'' The Screaming Ghost Lady answered.

---

The ninja approached the gates of the Cloud Kingdom.

''Welcome to Cloud Kingdom. We've been expecting you.'' Said a man with a condescending tone, walking towards them.

''Ha, how are we—'' Jay started.

''Standing on a cloud?'' The man interrupted. ''Easy. In other Realms, there are other rules. I'm Fenwick. I've been asked to show you around.''

''Nice to meet you. I'm—'' Kai went to introduce himself.

''Kai, yes, we all know. You're quite popular with the other monks. Up here, we see everything that goes on in Ninjago.'' The guy interrupted yet again.

''Then you know—'' Cole started.

''You've travelled far for the Sword of Sanctuary. A powerful weapon that can foresee your opponent's next attack. It's also the second clue to finding the Tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master.'' Mr Interruption interrupted yet again.

''Blimey. But how be you—'' Zane said in his pirate accent.

''Finishing your sentences?'' Fenwick asked. ''I know, it's rather annoying, but up here we know, let's just say...we know what's going to come next. Come, I know Morro isn't far behind. Follow me and I'll explain.''

''His name is Mr Interruption now.'' (Y/n) whispered to Jay, who snickered.

The Ninja and Mr Interruption walked into a library, with monks sitting on seats with scrolls in front of them, writing with a quill and ink.

''Wow, it's the Ninja.'' Spoke a monk. A girl with long brown hair smiled at (Y/n), before returning to her writing.

''I know you're familiar with a few of the Realms. Cloud Kingdom is just one more of the Sixteen Realms that exist parallel to Ninjago.'' Fenwick informed them.

''Sixteen Realms?'' Kai questioned.

''In this realm, we strive for greater understanding and let go of distractions. There is no television, no video games—'' Mr Interruption told them.

''No video games? Hmmph. Not impressed.'' Jay replied, crossing his arms.

''It appears all any lad does here be writing.'' The Rated ARGGH nindroid spoke.

''That is because here, our words matter. You see, in Cloud Kingdom, we are the writers of destiny. It was here that it was decided that Lloyd should be the Green Ninja. And just now, that Zane should find his voice again.'' Fenwick replied.

''I sense my vocal pattern has returned without any repairs.'' Zane said now in his now normal voice.

''Aww, I really love calling him rated ARGGH nindroid.'' Someone mumbled. ''Now he no longer has that pirate accent...''

''Ugh! He doesn't talk like a pirate anymore.'' Jay said crossly.

''How'd that happen?'' The Earth Ninja questioned.

''It was written.'' Mr Interruption answered.

''Hey, guys, he's writing about Dareth!'' Motormouth told the others, pushing aside a monk and accidentally spilling ink on the scroll.

Dareth whistled and honked the horns of his car to gain the attention of a nearby female driver. ''Hey, what up?'' He then ran into a cement truck, the grey liquid concrete stuff spilling onto the unfortunate Brown Ninja.

''Oh, poor Dareth!'' Said the writer of Dareth's destiny. The Lightning Ninja nervously laughed. He then checked out each scroll, annoying each writer of destiny as he passed.

Jay saw a girl in front of not one, but two scrolls. He then looked at it, and it was seemingly familiar.

''If you know what's going to happen next, then you know how important it is for us to get the Sword of Sanctuary,'' Kai told him.

''Yes, and I know you made a promise to save your friend Lloyd. Sadly, we cannot ensure promises, because we aren't allowed to choose sides.'' Fenwick replied, before lowering his voice to a whisper. ''And no one else will tell you this, but we had intended for Morro to stay in the Cursed Realm.''

''What do you mean "intended"?'' Cole questioned.

''He was never supposed to escape. He somehow defied destiny. And now we're playing catch up.'' Mr Interruption answered. He then walked up to Cole and (Y/n). ''Do you think we wanted you two to become Ghosts? That's preposterous. Ever since Morro broke free, things have been happening outside of our control. To be honest, we don't know how this will end.'' Fenwick told them.

''Then quit talking and give us the sword. We'll find the tomb and stop Morro.'' Kai replied.

''Look, we wanted to give it to you, but first, the Master Writer wants to see you,'' Fenwick said.

''Fine, then show us to this "Master Writer."'' The Fire Ninja replied.

---

Mr Interruption led the ninja to a flying skiff.

''So this Master Writer, he'll decide if we get the sword just by looking at us?'' Cole asked.

''It is an important decision, one that will not only decide the fate of Ninjago but the fate of the Sixteen Realms,'' Fenwick replied.

''Do you know what's inside the tomb?'' Kai asked.

''I do.'' And Mr Interruption waved his hands, making the clouds part to reveal a vortex. ''Morro's after the Realm Crystal. It's the doorway to the Sixteen Realms.'' Fenwick answered.

''Wow!'' Jay exclaimed, seeing a giant version of the realm crystal.

''It is a bridge to greater understanding...'' The skiff went into the crystal before they came out in the underworld. ''...or a gateway to ruin. When the First Spinjitzu Master created it, he knew the power to freely cross realms could never fall into the wrong hands,'' The surroundings turned to the Realm of Madness.

''Which is why he buried it with him in his final resting place. A tomb protected by impossible traps that only a Master of Spinjitzu could get by with the aid of the Sword of Sanctuary.'' Fenwick finished.

''But I thought Morro just wanted to be the Green Ninja. What does he want with the Crystal?'' The Master of Earth asked.

''It is not Morro who sees the power to ruin, but his master, the Preeminent,'' Fenwick replied, and the surroundings changed to the Cursed Realm, with ghosts flying around.

''The Cursed Realm. He's in charge?'' Kai asked, pointing at a weird tentacled creature.

''Not he, but she.'' Mr Interruption corrected. ''Queen of the Cursed, an evil so vengeful, she cannot crossover by any other magical means.''

The scenery turned to Ninjago. ''But if Morro uses the Crystal to free her, after cursing Ninjago, there will be no stopping her reign until every last Realm falls under her control.''

Everything turned dark, with the weird tentacled creature just floating there, shrouded in a veil of shadow. They then arrived on the other side, where they stopped. at a building. ''We're here! Wasn't that a lovely ride?'' Fenwick asked.

''Yeah, you paint a lovely picture,'' Kai replied.

''Now if you just wait in here, I will be back with the Master Writer in a moment, (Y/n), you'll need to come with me.'' Mr Interruption told her, letting the others walk in. He then locked the door behind them.

---

(Y/n) followed Fenwick, the two going back to where the other writers were. The girl was suspicious but he gave her no choice, closing the door behind the ninja before she could join them.

Seeing the exit, she went running but was stopped by someone. Backing away, she saw Morro, who smiled at her with that look in his eyes.

''Hello, (Y/n).''

---

Nobu was writing on his scroll and gasped when the ink turned red.

''Master Writer! Master Writer! It's the Ninja! They're in terrible trouble!'' Nobu warned Fenwick, running towards him with his scroll.

''Of course, they are,'' Fenwick replied, and Nobu caught sight of the ghosts. ''Do not be shy, our new guests and I have made a mutual arrangement. My destiny is secure. I am afraid the Ninjas' are not.''

(Y/n) stood next to Morro, the whites of her eyes tinted green.

''Where did you send the other Ninja?'' Nobu asked.

''I locked them away with Nimbus. I am sure Nimbus will love his new playthings.'' Fenwick answered as Nobu slowly backed away from him.

''Now show me to the Sword of Sanctuary,'' Morro ordered.

Somewhere in the Cloud Kingdom, the boys screamed as they were approached by a bear-like beast.

---

After their encounter with the ''Master Writer'' which was actually a bear-like beast named Nimbus, Cole used his ghostliness to be one with the lock, opening the door for the others.

''You know, Cole. I'm starting to like you as a Ghost more and more.'' Kai told him, putting his hand on the ghost's back.

''Look! Morro is here! With Fenwick!'' Zane told the others but frowned when he saw (Y/n) walking with them without trying to fight the Master of Wind.

''Oh, traitorous Fenwick! I knew I didn't like that snob.'' Jay replied. ''Wait, isn't that (Y/n)? Why isn't she trying to fight Morro?''

''We'll find out when we ask. Come on!'' Cole exclaimed, and they left, unknowing that Cole forgot to lock the door.

---

''The Sanctuary is on the top floor,'' Fenwick informed Morro, while Nobu watched, and (Y/n) followed the ghosts inside.

Nobu heard the ninja climbing up, and looked down at them, shocked.

''Fingers tired. Legs about to give.'' Kai spoke.

''Ow! Stop using my face as a foothold. You're not making this any easier.'' Jay told him.

''You're alive!'' Nobu exclaimed as they climbed onto solid ground.

''No thanks to Fenwick,'' Kai replied.

''Fenwick's convinced there's no way to stop the Queen of the Cursed, so he's agreed to help Morro only to help himself. But he doesn't know you've escaped. You have to get the Sword of Sanctuary, or else Morro will have too big of an advantage.'' Nobu informed them.

''Tell us where it is,'' Cole said.

''The tallest tower. But you must hurry, they're already headed there.'' Nobu answered.

''Guess there's no time to take the stairs. You thinking what I'm thinking?'' Brown Pineapple Hair replied.

''Airjitzu?'' All the boys but Jay answered.

''Cyclondo?'' The Lightning Ninja asked, and the others groaned. ''Why isn't it catching on?''

''Be careful, little monk,'' Cole warned Nobu.

''You too.'' The little monk replied.

''Ninja, go!'' The boys shouted, using Airjitzu while also using the skiffs as platforms.

''Sorry, just passing through,'' Cole told a monk operating a skiff, before flying up.

The spooky Master of Wind approached the sword. ''The Sword of Sanctuary.'' He then saw the ninja in the sword's reflection. ''Aah!'' He looked to see no one. ''Huh? Oh.'' The ninja then appeared, but he dodged all of their moves. ''Too late. I know your every move.'' He told them, laughing.

''We'll see about that,'' Kai replied, and Morro jumped out of the window after fighting the boys.

''I think he saw that too,'' Jay said as he and Zane regained their Aeroblades.

''There he is,'' Kai told the others.

''Get him,'' Cole replied. As they went to attack him, Morro escaped them.

''I hate that sword.'' The Fire Ninja grumbled.

''Why fight?'' Morro asked. ''I'll win every time.''

''Doesn't mean we can't try,'' Cole replied, and the Master of Win used his powers to throw roof tiles at them, and the ninja dodged them.

''Watch out!'' Porcupine warned.

''Cyclondo!'' Jay exclaimed, and the others used Cyclondo/Airjitzu to chase him.

''Bye, bye, Ninja,'' Morro said, landing on a skiff the ghosts were on. ''Sing them a farewell song, Bansha.'' He told the screaming ghost lady, who screeched, making the ninja land on a skiff.

(Y/n) stood next to the Master of Wind, planning her next move. She then went to attack him but he dodged, seeing the reflection in the sword. ''You betray me?!'' Morro screamed, outraged.

''Never took an oath of loyalty. Anyways, I wanted to get off this skiff so can you point me in the direction of the ninja's skiff?'' (Y/n) asked him. Turning around to see it, she looked back at Morro and winked, disappearing and in her place stood a very confused monk.

''Aargh! How do you control this thing?'' Cole asked the others.

The great bear-like beast appeared, grabbing their skiff. ''Get him off! Morro's getting away!'' Jay shouted.

Then, Nimbus stopped holding onto their skiff and started chasing Fenwick, who screamed like a little kid as he ran away.

''Look! There!'' Kai exclaimed, seeing the Eye.

''Hold on to your buckets, gang. Looks like the ride ain't over yet!'' Cole told the others, going through the eye.

Then, gravity took over as they fell back towards the mountain. ''Ah! Why aren't we flying anymore!?'' Jay asked.

''We're no longer in the Cloud Kingdom!'' (Y/n) replied, and the others looked at her as if she had grown an extra head (or tail, you never know).

She raised an eyebrow at them. ''What?'' The boys then turned their attention to the Ghost Crew's skiff as they passed by.

''Aha! Got you now!'' Kai shouted as they saw Morro.

''You really think so?'' The Master of Wind asked, using his powers to blow them in another direction.

''Obstacle detected. Collision certainty: 100 percent.'' Pixal warned Zane.

''Abandon ship!'' Zane yelled. The ninja then used the debris as skis. ''Ah! Haha. Hello, haven't we met before?'' He asked Morro as he went by.

''Don't they ever quit?'' The Master of Wind asked the Ghost Crew.

''Your ride is kind of slow, huh?'' Kai asked, before running into a tree.

Jay held on for dear life as he rode on the front part of the skiff. ''Oh, why do I get the uncontrollable sled!?'' He asked, shouting.

''Hold on, Jay.'' Cole told his ''friend''.

Soul Archer aimed an arrow at Jay but he ducked, the sharp ended projectile shooting over his head. ''Haha, missed!''

''I never miss.'' The Bow Skilled Ghost replied.

The arrow turned around, and Jay dodged it, flying over his shoulder before once again turning to chase the Lightning Ninja. He screamed as it chased him before it collided into a log instead of him. ''Phew. Hahaha.''

''Come in, Bounty! Come in! Hope your jets aren't cold, 'cause we're coming in hot!'' Kai said over the intercom on the Destiny's Bounty.

''The Ninja. Everyone to your stations.'' Wu told the others on the Bounty, and Misako dropped the plate of potstickers, and also the keys.

''Morro has the Sword of Sanctuary,'' Misako replied.

''We know what Morro wants with the tomb. He's after a crystal that can unleash the Preeminent to curse the Sixteen Realms.'' The Master of Fire informed them.

''Then we must work together to make sure that doesn't happen. Nya, get us into the action.'' Wu told her.

''You heard what he said,'' Nya replied.

''Why do you all run toward the action?'' Ronin asked. ''We should be running away.''

The Bounty's thrusters fired, and they began following the ninja and the ghosts.

Nya was on the water balloon cannon. ''Let's see how you like these water balloons.'' She said, and the ghosts dodged it, for it to hit Jay instead, and almost accidentally hitting (Y/n) in the process.

''Hey! Watch it!'' Jay shouted.

''Don't forget I'm a ghost!'' (Y/n) yelled.

''Sorry!'' Nya apologised. As she reloaded the cannon, Ghoultar attacked her, with Soul Archer aiming an arrow at her. Before it could hit her, Ronin threw his Aeroblade, getting rid of the pesky arrow. ''Good job, Ronin. But who's flying the ship?''

''That would be me, I guess.'' Ronin replied, getting back to behind the wheel.

Ghoultar jumped off the Destiny's Bounty, landing on the Ghost Crew's spooky skiff, somehow weighing it down.

''You big oaf. How are you slowing us down?'' Morro asked him. ''You're a Ghost!''

''Ghoultar likes Puffy Potstickers.'' He answered guiltily, rubbing his belly.

Wu held onto the flying ship's anchor as it was lowered. ''Need a lift?'' He asked, and everyone but Kai climbed on.

''Go! I can catch them.'' Kai told the others.

Morro looked in the reflection of the sword to see Kai using his Aeroblade. ''Watch out!'' He warned, and the Fire Ninja used his Aeroblade to damage the mast. ''You again.''

''You say that as if it's a bad thing,'' Kai replied, and Morro ducked as he threw his Aeroblade, using wind on him in return. He then hung onto the sail, getting on the skiff as the sail fell off.

''Oh, I've lost sight of Kai,'' Jay told the others, watching from the deck of the flying ship.

''Keep following them,'' Wu told Ronin.

''I guess both our fates are tested. The thing is, I already know how mine will end.'' Morro told Kai, dodging his hits before disarming him. ''And now I know how yours will.'' He then raised his sword to strike him.

''You'd fight someone unarmed?'' The Fire Ninja questioned him.

''That's a good question. Yes!'' The Master of Wind answered. Just as he was about to strike, Lloyd stopped him.

''Take the sword, Kai! I can't hold him much longer.'' The Green Ninja spoke, struggling to keep control over himself as he handed Kai the sword.

''Lloyd?'' Kai asked, taking his Aeroblade and the Sword of Sanctuary. ''You can fight him, Lloyd. You're stronger than he is. Just fight him. Lloyd! Fight him.'' The Fire Ninja told him before the spooky Master of Wind regained control over Lloyd and attacked him.

''Hate to spoil this next, but just 'cause you're in my friend's body, watch out!'' He then kicked Morro/Lloyd. ''I think you're going down. Right...'' He then used Airjitzu, leaving the skiff to fall off the cliff. ''...now! Sorry, Lloyd.'' He apologised, landing on the deck of the Bounty, making the others cheer.

(Y/n) watched him disappear beneath the clouds before turning to Kai.

''You got the sword, but how?'' Wu questioned him.

''How else? Working together. Lloyd fought Morro like a true hero.'' Kai replied.

''If Morro defied destiny, then why not us?'' Cole asked.

''He may have gotten Airjitzu first—'' The formerly Rated ARGGH nindroid said.

''Uh-uh, you mean Cyclondo?'' Jay interrupted, looking at him.

Zane sighed.

''But we got the sword!'' Cole exclaimed, and everyone cheered.

''Now all we have to do is find the tomb, then it's smooth sailing,'' Wu replied.

''But who here knows where the tomb is?'' Ronin questioned.

''Oh, man,'' Cole said.

''Come on, you all seemed so confident!'' The Thief replied.

''Ugh, you ruin everything!'' Nya spoke.
