Note: I DO NOT own Amphibia or Marvel Comics so don't report me, this is for entertainment purposes only.

I should also let you know that the following scenes are based on Amphibia Season 1, second half of episode 16. The second half of episode 10, episodes 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and the first half of episode 16 have little to no changes from canon.

With that out of the way, I hope you enjoy the chapter.

Anne and the plantars were out on the road with Bessie, having recently gone to the Historic Wartwood Town Archives to try and find answers to the music box that brought Anne to Amphibia.

Hop Pop: Well that was a waste of time.

Anne: Ugh, you said it. Can't believe there was nothing in the archives about the music box.

She says, holding it in her hands as Sprig and Polly stare at it's shininess.

Sprig: So you really think this is your key to getting home?

Anne: It zapped me here, kid. Not like I have any other leads. Really looking forward to finding someone who can help me with this thing.

She said, opening and closing the box repeatedly but to no avail as she lets out a sigh.

Hop Pop: Don't worry, Anne. We'll figure it out eventually.

He says before Bessie comes to a sudden stop as dozens of tiny creatures were crossing the road.

Hop Pop: Hey, get outta the way, you . . . whatever the heck you are!

He yells before Sprig noticed a tree with a hole in it that the creatures were coming out of.

Sprig: Oh, hey. What's that?

He says before approaching the tree

Sprig: Man, these things are cute.

He says before investigating the tree.

Anne: Sprig, you put your hand in there and something bad happens, I swear to God, I'm gonna-

Sprig: Woah! Guys, look what I found! I think it's an entry ticket to the Bizarre Bazaar!

He says, taking an egg with weird symbols on it.

Anne: The what now?

Sprig: The Bizarre Bazaar! I've never been there, but I've heard stories. It's a mysterious night market that passes through once a year. Exotic foods, games, mysterious treasure.

Anne: Yeah? Maybe someone there will know how the music box works.

She says with a smile.

Hop Pop: Hold up! From what I've heard, that bazaar is full of greedy degenerates. Wave that thing around, and it'll get stolen for sure. Tell you what. I'll reach out to some frogs I know and see if they know a thing about your music chest.

Anne: Music box.

Hop Pop: That too.

Anne lets out another sigh.

Anne: All right, fine.

She said just as the tiny creatures had finished crossing the road.

Hop Pop: Finally.

He said as he had Bessie continue down the road.

Sprig: We're going to the Bizarre Bazaar tonight, aren't we?

Anne: Obvi.

She said as made their way back to the farm.

Hours later, night had fallen as Anne and Sprig snuck out of the house with the former carrying her backpack with the music box inside.

Anne: All right, which way to the Bizarre Bazaar?

Sprig: I don't know. I think the egg is supposed to show us.

He says, holding it up before dropping it, breaking in half.

Sprig: Whoops.

Anne: Dude!

She yells before a tiny purple creature emerges from the egg and runs into the forest.

Anne: After it!

She said as our duo ran after the creature, following it to hole it dug into the ground.

Anne bolted for the creature, trying to catch it, but she was too late as the creature went underground.

Anne: Dammit!

She yelled, slamming her fists to the ground.

But then, a mushroom started glowing yellow. Our duo gasped upon seeing more and more mushrooms glowing one by one, as if they were revealing a path.

Anne and Sprig then followed the glowing mushrooms before finding a doorway which then has a glowing symbol at the top.

Anne & Sprig: Woah.

They said before opening the grass curtain to see the Bizarre Bazaar with their own eyes, with so many people and stands in it.

Anne: Wow, Hop Pop was right. This place is kinda intense.

She says before a tall frog bumps into her.

Tall Frog: Hey! Watch it, string bean!

Anne: You bumped into me! You watch it!

Tall Frog: What'd you say to me, you little-

He was cut off upon seeing Anne pop her claws out.

Tall Frog: . . . I would . . . like to apologize for my outburst.

Anne: Yeah, that's what I thought, bitch.

She says, getting her claws back in before seeing a stand with a bunch of relics and treasures.

Anne: Hey, look! Some of this stuff resembles the music box.

Sprig: Suspiciously so.

Anne: Yeah, but where's the vendor?

She asks before noticing a sign that reads; "Out to Lunch."

Anne: Are you shitting me!?

She yells before letting out a sigh.

Sprig: Hey, hey, it's fine. They'll be back. And in the meantime, might as well check out the rest of the bazaar!

Anne: Fine, but we have to come back as soon as the vendor does. I don't wanna mess this up.

She says before Sprig gets them a dumpling each. Anne was about to eat it only for Sprig to chow down on his, revealing bugs within, resulting in Anne throwing hers away.

They then played a card game, which they lost, but thankfully they didn't bet any money.

Sprig then rode a Bull Beetle for only a few seconds before getting thrown off.

Anne also tried a drink that was similar to boba only to realize that the bubble tea jellies were actually tiny bugs, immediately throwing it away.

Anne: Wow. It's amazing how far removed this place is from Wartwood. There's absolutely nothing familiar here.

Sprig: Oh, hey, there's Wally.

He said as Wally was playing a dice game, landing on what he wanted only for one of the tiny creatures from earlier to kick one, making him lose.

Wally: What?! This is larceny! I want my money back!

He says before two hooded figures grabbed Wally by his arms.

Guard 1: You know the rules.

Guard 2: No refunds at the Bizarre Bazaar.

Guard 1: You are coming with us.

Wally: Ah! Get your hands off me! Help!

He says before the guards hauled him away.

Anne and Sprig then sat at a wooden table.

The young mutant was concerned that the Bizarre Bazaar was halfway over as she waited for the vendor of the stand to return.

Her eyes widened upon seeing a hand turning the sign over which reads; "Open."

Anne: Finally!

She says before grabbing Sprig and running towards the stand.

Valeriana: Now where did I put my incense burner? Huh?

She says, noticing our duo.

Valeriana: Ah, welcome. Welcome to Valeriana's Antiques.

She says, the newt appearing to only have one arm.

Sprig: I think she's missing an arm.

He whispers to Anne only to get punched in the arm by the mutant.

Sprig: Ow!

Anne: Dude, not all of us can have healing factors. Anyway, what's all this stuff you got here?

Valeriana: Just the many treasures collected from my years of travel. I've seen and heard it all.

She says before a mostly bald parrot starts squawking.

Leander: Seen it all! Heard it all!

Anne: Betcha haven't seen anything like me.

Valeriana: Hmm. No, not exactly.

The newt says while examining Anne.

Anne: Um, I have something I'd like you to take a look at.

Sprig: Are you sure about this, Anne? Maybe Hop Pop was right.

Anne: You heard her. She's seen it all. If anyone knows anything about the music box, it's her. Besides, if she tries anything, I'll-

She pauses upon realizing that her backpack was missing.

Anne: WHAT THE FUCK!?!!

She yells before noticing a masked amphibian carrying her backpack.

Anne: HEY!! GET BACK HERE!!!

She screamed before running after the thief with Sprig right behind her.

Our duo chases the thief to a stand to which he removes his mask and puts Anne's backpack on a prize wall.

He then looks at Anne with sweat on his forehead before putting on a smile.

Marnie: Greetings! Come to try your luck at my fun and exciting game?

Anne: Hell no! Give me back my backpack!

Marnie: Backpack?

Anne: The one you JUST put on your prize wall!!

Marnie: Oh, you mean the magical pouch of mystery? Who can say where it came from? Or how?

Anne: I'm not playing games! Either you give it back to me or I'm gonna-!

She yells before two guards grabbed her and Sprig.

Marnie: Ah-ah-ah! Once something is on the prize wall, the only way to get it back is to win it. Sorry, hon, Bizarre Bazaar rules.

Anne growls in anger, ready to pop her claws out.

Sprig: Anne, don't! Please?

He says, Anne looking at his pleading eyes. Anne then remembers the day she fought the Toad Tower warriors.

She admits that she may have taken it too far when she severed some limbs and took Bog's eye.

Anne sighs and calms down before looking at Marnie.

Anne: What's the game?

She asks, giving him a bag of gold.

Marnie: I'll show you. Behold!

He says, pulling back a curtain to reveal a race track with two frogs racing each other on giant cockroaches.

Anne: Of course it had to be giant fucking cockroaches.

She groans in annoyance.

Marnie: Now then, who has the guts to challenge this strange looking biped and her little pink boyfriend?

Anne: Woah! Not my boyfriend!

Sprig: Yeah! She's way too old for me!

Anne: . . .

Sprig: What?

He says before Anne smacks him across the head.

Sprig: Ow! What'd I say?!

Anne: There are three things you shouldn't say to lady! That they're fat, ugly and you especially don't tell them they're old!

Sprig: Sorry.

Marnie: Anyway . . . who wants to race these two?!

???: I'll take the challenge!

A large frog says from the stands, making everyone gasp in shock.

Frog 1: The Wrecker!

Frog 2: He hasn't been seen in years!

Frog 3: The Wrecker?!

Frog 4: The legend says he'll wreck yourself if you don't check yourself!

Frog 3: Let's get out of here!

The two racers said before hopping away.

Anne: Bring it on, big guy.

Marnie: The race is on!

He said as Anne, Sprig and the Wrecker mounted on a cockroach.

Marnie: On your marks . . . get set . . . go!

He says before the race began with both their cockroaches running at full speed along the track.

The wrecker then purposely bumps his cockroach into our duo's, shoving them into a wall.

Anne: Hey! That's cheating!

Frogs: Anything goes in the Bizarre Bazaar!

They said while holding up signs that read what they just said.

Sprig: Oh no! They have signs! It must be true!

Anne: Dude, shut the hell up and let's win this thing!

She yelled as they kept going, though they had fallen behind as the wrecker was in the lead.

Anne: Sprig, tongue him!

Sprig: Tongue him? I barely know him!

Anne: Less innuendos, more action!

She yelled, to which Sprig stretches his yellow tongue out, grabbing the wrecker and pulling themselves into the air and over him, taking the lead.

Anne smiled only to catch a strange scent in her nostrils. She turns around to the wrecker sending a flying blue bug after them.

Anne: 'What is this, Mario Kart?!'

She thinks before looking towards Sprig.

Sprig: We're gonna win, Anne!

He says before Anne grabs hold of him.

Sprig: Anne?

Anne: I'll apologize later.

Sprig: Wait, what?

He asks before Anne yeets him towards the bug, Sprig screaming as he hits the bug, creating an explosion.

Anne winces upon seeing that happen to Sprig before crossing the finish line first.

Anne then immediately gets off the cockroach and runs towards Sprig, who was coughing from all the smoke.

Anne: Sorry, dude. I didn't know what else to do.

Sprig: It's okay, Anne.

Anne: It's not like I did it because you called me old or anything . . .

Sprig: Yeah, obviously.

Anne: . . .

Sprig: That . . . that wasn't the reason . . . right?

Marnie: And we have a winner! Here's your prize!

He says, handing Anne her backpack.

Anne: Thanks!

She says before popping her claws out, bringing them mere inches from his face.

Anne: Don't ever steal from me again. Okay?

She says with a sinister tone on top of an innocent smile

Marnie: Y-Yes, of course.

He says before Anne and Sprig left the race track. Unfortunately, the Bizarre Bazaar was now closed and they couldn't get back to Valeriana's stand in time before she packed up and left.

Anne: God dammit!

The Wrecker: Hey!

Anne: What the hell do you want? Tonight hasn't been good for me and I don't need you being a sore loser!

She yells before the Wrecker removes his cloak and face, revealing himself to actually be Hop Pop in disguise.

Sprig: Hop Pop?!

Anne: I'm so confused.

Hop Pop: Isn't it obvious, Anne? I knew you two couldn't resist going to the Bizarre Bazaar. So I followed you here to help in case you ever got yourselves into a pickle.

Anne: By racing us?

Hop Pop: Well, I was planning to win the race and teach you a lesson about your impatience, but it looks like you can handle yourself. And, I'll admit, you throwing Sprig did make me laugh a little.

Anne: Right. I guess I did handle myself, but you're right. I am too impatient for answers, so, here.

She says, handing the music box over to Hop Pop.

Anne: Go through your trusted channels, I'm okay with waiting a little longer.

Hop Pop: I'll do my best, Anne. I know how important this is to you.

Sprig: Okay, back up! You're the Wrecker, Hop Pop? How many games have you beaten? Did it ever get dangerous, Hop Pop? Have you killed a man, Hop Pop?

He asks, to which Hop Pop lets out a chuckle.

Hop Pop: Whatever happens in the Bizarre Bazaar stays in the Bizarre Bazaar.

Sprig: Aw, man!

Anne: Heh. Just like Vegas.

Hop Pop: Sure, Anne. Just like Vegas.

He says before they all headed back to the farm, catching a good night's rest.
