"Tell Vince that I thank him very much for his flowers and his wishes," Lavinia said timidly.

"Lavinia, would you like to tell me something about your experience, like... how should I say, as an exclusive interview," Philip said.

"All I want to say is tell Vince to follow the lyrics to his new song. It's never too late."

"You want me to publish what you say?"

"That won't be necessary. Besides, Vince needs to hear this. It will benefit him, not the rest of the world."

"Aren't you going to tell me anything about your experience, your blindness, your recognition as a social worker, and finally your successful surgery?" Philip insisted.

"I did not place much emphasis on my blindness, not that it was not painful. It's always been difficult, that goes without saying. But I managed to get over it and focus on treating people. That healed me, too. That move. I already said that when I got out of the hospital. And I'll say it because it's the truth."

"All right, Lavinia, thank you," Philip commented excitedly.

Ray watched her in awe. He secretly admired her power. Kevin was here in a few minutes. He was holding a big box with a cake and behind him was an assistant, a few bags from the supermarket. Philip got up reluctantly and made a nod to Ray.

"Sit. You don't have to leave. Kevin is my man of the house," Lavinia said with kindness.

Every time she said words of familiarity about him, his face sparkled and a smile was showing up which was staying for a long time. That proposal of marriage, it often went round and round in her head.

Meanwhile, Vince got out of the hospital under strict doctor's orders, which if he didn't, things would be a lot worse for him.

Within a few months, one autumn morning, Lavinia and Kevin got married to an Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary in Harbor. The news made headlines in the newspapers and top story on the TV news.

Those mixed feelings Vince had, on the one hand, happy, but on the other hand, devastated that he'd lost her, choked him day and night. He regretted letting her go once when he was blinded by his glory and rising career in stardom. He slowly realized that he should not lose worthy people because it was irreparable damage.

"You didn't lose the girl, Vince. You'll always be friends. She's talking to you, she didn't turn her back to you," Philip encouraged him.

"I made tragic mistakes. That look she gave me in the hospital was the worst thing for me. I thought I'd always be bright and strong. At the top; that I could handle it, despite her objections. She knew a lot better than I did. I didn't hear her." whispered dismayed. He turned to the bar for a drink and Ray stopped him.

"Get out of the way!" Vince yelled at him.

"No. Even now you're making a mistake. You recognize it, but you do nothing so not to repeat it," Ray replied.

"What are you doing now, ordering me?"

"No, Vince. I am nothing more than your manager," he said humiliated.

"But I am your brother. So I can order you and kick your ass if I have to!" Philip intervened.

Vince apologized to both of them. "Ray, set up a public interview. I want to talk to people. Philip, publish it. I'll talk on Saturday night show to Nigel," he continued determinedly.

"Are you ready to answer everything? You know that such shows are not easily avoided. It's a live show and you're in front of the host who will surely squeeze you with questions. It's not being recorded. Whatever you answer, you live it," Philip warned him.

"I don't care and I have no intention of hiding anything or running away from anything. Set it up," uncompromising, Vince retired to his studio to play music.

The lightning ad spoke of an interview-confession of the artist, which would keep people pinned down. The ratings were already up from the ads by the start of the show.
