They want to talk to me...? What for? I know things have gotten... Rocky, but hey, Saguaro said it was fine, so there's no need to be afraid of this.. Just a conversation, just a conversation.

There Locust sat, shaded by his favorite palm tree. The edge of Possibility was always so pretty, he thought; even in the hot, dusking light. This is where Saguaro said to meet up at. His thoughts were full. I mean, they never want to just "talk". There's always more, a kind of constructive criticism. But Locust knew it was all in love. I mean, he was messed up in the head, and Saguaro just helped organize it all.

There they were. Waking towards him. Locust couldn't help but feel his heart sink. There was also Gila. Saguaro always hangs out with her. Inseperable, those two, like him and Suguaro used to be. Locust still blamed Gila for that distance. He shouldnt, but he does. Even though Suguaro has told him it was himself that caused it. Now he knew where this was going to go.

Suguaro smiled, small and distant, at Locust, who forced a wider grin on his face in return. Gila paced behind them, dark-red scales of her Skywing side glimmering in the sun, like a dying fire needing to be relit. He always hated that pace. It meant something bad was about to happen. He always knew, but he is always never prepared for what Suguaro wants to say.

Then, they spoke.

"We need to talk, Locust."

His eyes narrowed slightly.. "I know. What about?"

"It's about... Us."

Us? Locust's mind began to race. Us? We're not in a relationship. He's tried to start one, but Suguaro always turned him down.

"Us?" He asked with a slight tilt of his head, feigning a look of innocence.

Suguaro visibly swallowed, took a breath, and said, "We can't be with each other anymore."

Now Locust was even more confused. "What do you mean? Not be friends anymore?" Why were they saying it like... He had confessed and they said yes and not the several no's..?

Here, Suguaro ranted.
The more Locust heard, the more he didn't. Out the ears. Swirling in his head. The world, the palm tree he's leaned against, became more of a distant feeling - an idea of where he was, when he really had no idea anymore.

"Mental health...
You haven't changed...
This can't work anymore...
You have failed...
I've tried being patient...
Ive wanted to stop two years ago..."

... Two years..? They've stayed by me for two years, years I thought they cared, when they wanted to leave..? Locust just stared straight ahead, nodding his head.

Finally, he spoke. It was whispered, almost, in his head, though he made sure it was loud and normal for them. "Yeah, I understand."

"You do?"

"Yeah."

"Okay... Don't.. Dont try to contact me, okay? Bye."

"Yeah, okay, bye."

When the two left, Locust looked at his talons. Stained in new tears. The world began to come back to him, if only slightly. The weight of the world fel back to his shoulders. He closed his eyes.

He did not understand at all.
