The warm glow of Benny's Diner provided a welcome escape from the chill of the evening air. Mira, Steve, and Nancy had settled into their booth, their laughter and chatter forming a pleasant backdrop to the clinking of cutlery and the hum of conversation. Mira had chosen to dress up for the occasion, donning a black half-sleeved crop top that accentuated her figure, paired with high-waisted skinny jeans and four-inch heeled ankle boots. The outfit made her feel confident, but as the night progressed, she began to regret her choice.

The door of the diner swung open, and in walked Billy, Tommy, Carol, Susan, and three other boys Mira didn't recognize. Her heart sank as she caught sight of Billy, his gaze sweeping the room with the casual arrogance she had come to associate with him. To her dismay, they were seated at a table just a few booths away, though the shadows and the strategic placement of their booth kept them mostly out of sight.

Mira thanked her luck for the booth's position and the fact that her car wasn't visible from the diner's parking lot. She hoped this would keep her out of Billy's direct line of sight, but her luck was about to run out.

"mira, your order is ready!" Benny's loud call cut through the din of the diner, grabbing Billy's attention. Billy's eyes immediately scanned the room, locking onto Mira's booth with an intensity that made her heart race.

Steve, ever the considerate friend, quickly got up to retrieve their order. Mira's fingers fidgeted with her menu as she tried to keep her composure. She could feel Billy's gaze on her, and the weight of his stare was almost palpable.

As soon as Steve, Mira, and Nancy had their food in hand they quickly finished it, they decided it was best to make a quick exit before Billy could make another scene. They headed towards the parking lot, Mira's mind racing as she tried to push aside her nerves.

When they reached their cars, Steve turned to Mira with a concerned expression. "Do you want me to escort you to your car and make sure you get out of here safely?"

Mira appreciated the offer but shook her head. "Thank you, Steve, but as much as I'd like that, I don't want to look vulnerable. I'll manage."

Nancy gave Mira a quick hug. "Be careful, okay? We'll see you soon."

Billy's gang was still preoccupied with their own conversation, leaving Mira free to make her way to her car. However, as she walked in its direction, she felt a shiver of dread as Billy's voice called out from behind her.

"Valentine!" Billy's tone was both playful and provocative. Mira turned to face him, her resolve firm despite the pounding of her heart. "Had a nice date?"

Billy approached her, his movements deliberate and confident. "You know, I have to say, you look even better up close. That outfit—wow. You're definitely making an impression."

Mira tried to maintain her composure, though she couldn't help but feel self-conscious under his gaze. "It's just clothes, Billy. What do you want?" yes they were just clothes. crop top was there in 80s so were skinny jeans. it was plain and simple outfit. why the fuck would he find it so attractive????

Billy's eyes roamed over her, lingering on her curves with an almost predatory gaze. "Just wanted to see if you were as interesting outside of class as you are in it. I must admit, you're quite the sight. I've seen you in school  but this—this is something else."

Mira crossed her arms, trying to fend off his probing gaze. "I don't know what you're trying to achieve here, but I'm not interested in whatever games you're playing."

Billy stepped closer, his voice dropping to a low, almost intimate murmur. "Come on, Mira. Don't be like that. We're just talking. Besides, you can't seriously tell me you're not at least a little bit intrigued."

Mira swallowed hard, her pulse quickening as he closed the distance between them. His cologne, a mix of something sharp and alluring, wafted over her. She fought to keep her voice steady. "I don't have time for this. I'm leaving."

Billy's hand brushed against her arm, his touch lingering just a moment too long. "You know, I've got to admit, you've got this whole 'mysterious allure' thing going on. It's kind of captivating. What's your story, Mira? You seem like you've got something you're hiding."

Mira's heart raced, and she forced herself to focus on her car. "I don't have any secrets. I'm just trying to get through the day."

Billy's gaze was intense, as if he were trying to peel back her layers with just his eyes. "You say that, but there's something about you that's... different. Something that makes me want to know more."

Mira took a deep breath, steeling herself against the pull of his charm. "I'm not interested in sharing my life story with you. If you have something to say, say it and let me be."

Billy's expression softened into something that resembled genuine curiosity, though it was still laced with flirtation. "You know, only someone with a lot on their mind would act so aloof. Maybe that's why you're so intriguing. There's definitely more to you than meets the eye."

Billy's gaze lingered on her, his voice lowering to a more intimate tone. "You know, I've seen a lot of girls, but you're different. There's something intriguing about you. Maybe it's the way you handle yourself—or maybe it's the way you look in those jeans. Either way, I can't seem to get you out of my head."

Mira's resolve wavered slightly, the warmth in Billy's eyes making her pulse race. "I don't think you understand. I'm not interested. I've got enough going on without adding drama."

Billy's grin was almost predatory as he leaned in closer, his breath warm against her skin. "You're playing hard to get. I get it. But you know, there's nothing wrong with a little bit of fun. Especially when someone like you is involved."

Mira swallowed hard, trying to ignore the way his words and proximity made her feel. "This isn't a game, Billy. I'd appreciate it if you'd just leave me alone."

Billy's smirk faded slightly, and he stepped back, though his eyes still lingered on her. "Alright, if that's how you want to play it. But remember, Valentine, only someone with a big secret would try so hard to hide their true feelings."

Just as Mira was about to open the door of her car, Billy's hand shot out, gently but firmly grabbing her arm. He pulled her around, his eyes softening slightly. "Here," he said, holding out a small earring she had dropped inside the diner. "You forgot this."

Mira's heart raced, and she felt a surge of conflicting emotions as she took the earring from him. His touch lingered just a moment too long, and as he walked away, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of attraction, despite her best efforts to remain unaffected. Billy's chuckle echoed behind her, a final reminder of his presence.

Mira turned quickly, her mind a whirl of confusion and frustration. As she slipped into her car. switched on the music loud and yelled ...."arrgh fucking asshole.....how i hate his guts....fuck....no not worth it...not worth it at all" , she couldn't shake the feeling that Billy's words and actions had managed to unsettle her more than she'd like to admit. The fact that he was so attractive only complicated things further.

As she drove away from the diner, Mira glanced in the rearview mirror to see Billy and his gang still lingering outside. She couldn't deny that, despite her irritation, there was a small part of her that found his attention difficult to ignore. But she knew she had too much on her plate to let herself be distracted by him. With a sigh, she resolved to focus on her own life and not let Billy's games get under her skin any further.
