I was up late reading this horrible fanfic because the OC is interesting even though I should've been sleeping.

Enter Mom

Mom: Cherry, go to sleep. I see that light from your phone.

Me: *drops phone facedown on pillow* W-Whaaaat? What are you talking about? I don't have my phone. Noooooooo.

Mom: *amused by my completely believable statement* Oh, yeah? Then what was that light I saw?

Me: It was my... uh... eyes! Yeah! They're very bright in the dark. You could even say that they're glow in the dark.

Mom: Oh, is that right? How have I never noticed?

Me: I have no idea! You've known me all my life and you didn't know my eyes glow in the dark? Wow!

...I am such a convincing liar.
