(Lucci x Reader)

It was hard, as you stood in the rain and your heart was shattered. The fires and screams of the people around you, pushing by you running from where your gaze never faltered. The ghost of a figure still lingered before you, the dull eyes blinked to your being.

Unbroken by who you were.

The fresh memory of him standing before you as you held his wrist. The rain began to trickle upon the two of you. Standing alone in the center of the street. He slowly turned to you holding a lit flame upon a torch he held. His golden gaze unfazed by you. Raven locks becoming wet as his hair began to catch the rain.

"Can I help you?" He asked cocking a brow. You give a giggle in response as your hand slips from his wrist to the palm of his hand. Your lips pull to a smile.

"Darling, don't you remember your own wife?" You asked with a hint of a sharp tongue.

His eyes flicked to your being before slipping his hand from your being. Stepping back a bit your smile faded, and began to twist with concern. Lucci stood as you laced your fingers in your lap.

"I must go."

And without a response from you, you heard the slip of his shoes as he disappeared. Your eyes scanned the area before the screams and ablaze broke through. It soon was hushed as you heard your heard break and the world became numb. Your mind replaying over and over the look in his eyes. Like he wanted to remember but, that haze, that bland stare. Showed he wasn't surprised by anything anymore. Nor will he ever.

And that night, you left your broken heart out in the rain. Turning on your heel and patted through the rain.
