A/N: FOR ALL MY WHITEBEARD LOVERS OUT THERE. I'm gonna start a chapter book of Whitebeard and then go on with Rayleigh cause I need more old men in my life. Let me know if you would read it. Oh and... Happy Birthday Rayleigh!!

(Rayleigh x Reader) We need more Rayleigh out there...

White. It was pure, clam, and what every bride would be wearing on her wedding. You braided your hair before pinning it to your head. You glanced to the paper once you finished with your hair. You sighed as your frenched nails plucked the paper from the desk. Your name was splattered across the page. Along with 'Edward Newgate.' The strongest man in the world is being wed to the woman who never ages. Hell. You were way older then that crummy old man anyway. But. He saw pas that. You smiled setting the paper away.

You reached out plucking up some white roses on your desk and placed them in your hair. Once you finished you placed on your veil but perked up when the door was shut. You turned to see him. You stood clutching your dress with a bugged eyed look.

"Rayleigh?" You breathed.

He chuckled with a soft smile on his lips, "Weren't expecting to see me huh?"

"What are you doing here? What about Shak-"

He approached you taking your hands. He smiled softly to your large surprised (E/C).

"I know. I shouldn't be here." He spoke, "But I couldn't miss seeing you in white. You may not be my wife, but. I would of chosen you."

"Then lets go."

He furrowed, "What?"

"Lets go, we can finally sail the world and-"

You stopped yourself and turned away. His expression softened knowing why you were here. Why you were on Whitebeard's ship. Why you decided to marry him.

"You look beautiful. I bet cap is watching over you threatening Newgate." Rayleigh said.

You looked up to him, "I'm glad you came, Rayleigh."

"I'm glad I came too."

He held his arm out to you, "I've been granted privilege to walk you down the isle."

You rolled your eyes, "Same old Rayleigh."

You walked over to the dresser grabbing your veil before pinning it to your head. Then walked over to Rayleigh and took his arm. You looked up to him and smiled.

"Okay. I'm ready." You said.

He chuckled kissing your temple before throwing your veil over your face. Then he walked you out of the room. Where you were taken up to the ship. Howls and cheers broke out from the sea of young men. But your eyes were on Whitebeard. He sat tall and proud as you walked to his chair. But as you stood before him you turned to Rayleigh.

"I hope you will save a dance for me Rayleigh." You winked.

He chuckled as you stood beside Whitebeard taking his large hand. You glanced to Rayleigh who stood in the crowd watching.

"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today...."

As the ceremony was over and the partying began. You danced around with the bunch of the boys. Who were now calling you mother. And a few of the allied pirates danced with you. But then you were spun into a set of arms. You glanced up to Rayleigh. He grinned to you.

"Have we met before?" He asked.

You snickered, as he pulled you close and started to lead.

"Remember when I taught you how to dance?" He asked.

You smiled remembering Rogers ship. The crew gathered as Rayleigh was young and full of life. Blonde and his strange facial hair. While you stumbled on your feet. He was very patient with you and helped you get better.

"I remember." You smiled.

"Remember the blue moon?"

A blush took your cheeks as you remembered the assault of kisses up your body while your hands clutched onto his blonde locks. Then he lied you down on the sandy beach. He was glowing blue of the moonlight.

"I couldn't forget." You smiled.

Your smile faded as you looked up to him with tears pricking your eyes.

"Remember our promise?"

His face softened, both you remembered the small promise. Of living a life together. Sailing the seas and being lost in history. The dark king and the ageless woman. Him and you, without anyone else. But. That was before Roger's.... passing.

He tilted up your chin and smirked, "That's no longer my promise. For you and your husband will go down in history. But. There's one thing I can't help."

"What's that?"

"That you will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm a fool for you."

You smiled, "I love you too."
