(Roger x Male Reader)

Ace sat next to you while Dadan and Luffy fought over meat. You turned to him and smiled softly. Ace didn't look up to you, he looked to his little hands before back up to you.

"Can. Can we go for a walk?" Ace asked.

"Sure."

You and Ace left heading into the forest. His eyes kept to you before he took your hand. You smiled to him while the two of you headed for the cliff. Ace and you sat on the cliff looking out at the dark sea. Seeing the stars and moon reflect in the sea waters.

"I'm assuming you know." You spoke up.

"Dadan told me."

"Yes, I was apart of your fathers crew. And as my vow to him, I promised to keep you safe. As long as Garp doesn't find me."

The both of you chuckled. Before Ace turned to you.

"What. What was he like?"

You sighed resting back on your hands and looked up to the stars.

"Well, that man knew how to be a good captain. He'd never back away from fear and greeted death and danger with a smile. But. He was always talking about these crazy things and sometimes I could understand a word he said. All I understood was, he was the man I sat up at night thinking about."

"Did you love him?"

You turned to Ace, "I loved your father very much. I always have, always will."

He huffed crossing his arms, "Well, love is stupid."

"Well I love you Ace. Not because your apart of him, because you are. You."

He turned to you with a soft smile, "Well. I guess it's not so bad."

You gasped sitting up. Your breath ragged as you looked around the ship. Hands cupped your cheeks as you looked to those dark eyes. He grinned knowing you saw the future. That cursed power you ate, tasting bitter and crunched like glass.

"What lies in our path (Y/N)?" He grinned.

You cupped Roger's face before kissing him softly. He returned the kiss before you pulled back.

"You will have a son. Portgas D. Ace."
