Clarisse La Rue

Clarisse really wished she could've gone with, God she would've given anything to do something other than sit on her ass all day like those Survey bastards did. Sure she had wanted to be part of the group initially, but either way she wanted to be- she needed to be doing something more. She gave a yawn as she looked down again as Chris spoke with Luke. Part of her wanted to just dive down there and hit the idiot, but she was sure she'd be found out and that would mean yet another lecture from Beckendorf, and she'd had enough of those already.

She watched the two speak before Luke waved and he started walking off. Clarisse glared after his retreating back, as if expecting wings to sprout from his back. "Just turn already," she whispered to his retreating form. "I wanna get to the good stuff."

"What good stuff?"

Clarisse didn't turn around in order to hide an eye roll as the footsteps grew louder, "Destroying him of course. I just wish the idiot would remember already."

Beckendorf sat down beside her and he stared at the people walking down below, "Well considering the fact that Percy screwed everything up he might get his memories back after all, but to be honest I'm not sure I want him to. I mean when does he'll be-"

"I know," Clarisse interrupted standing. Her eyes searched the ground looking for Luke's retreating frame before she hurried for the stairs to catch up.

"Keep your feet on the ground!" Beckendorf called after her.

"Fuck off!" She yelled back as she continued running down the stairs. "I'm done waiting around," she muttered. "I'll jog his memory myself."

"Finding you at a fight? What are the odds?"

Clarisse turn to glare as he approached, she was already not in a good mood. She hadn't gotten a chance to get close to Luke yet due to the Survey sticking too close to him all evening. They had stuck with him at the club, at the bar, even when he went outside for a smoke. So she had been forced to settle with hanging at a fight club a block away to keep herself from getting caught. "What do you want Prissy?"

He rolled his eyes and came closer to lean on the railing beside her, a beer in his hands. Her eyes scanned him quickly and a smirk appeared on her face, "I must have missed when you got in the ring. Or did di Angelo get stronger since you two last sparred?"

He glared at her through a black eye and Clarisse couldn't help but laugh at his expression.

"He's a Survey now," Percy responded. "His magic was increased for this mission, but it's nothing I couldn't handle."

"Sure," Clarisse said with a smile. She reached for his beer, but he pulled it away and winced at the action. "But I've gotta wonder," she continued. "What did you do to him?"

Percy gave her a slight smile, "I'll leave that to your imagination, just know that he won't be an issue."

Her gaze shifted down to the fight which she watched silently for a moment before speaking, "You've changed a lot."

"Have I? We are still up high and looking down at all the mortals below. What's the difference? Or are you talking about the fact that I'm going to kill the devil?"

"I'm going to kill him. You're just along for the ride."

He shook his head and winced in pain at the action, "I'm too tired to have this argument again today."

"Well," she started. "If you're feeling well enough what do you say we finish this once and for all?"

He was quiet for a moment, "What are you suggesting?"

"I'm saying we help Luke get his memories back. And then... well you know the rest."

Percy gave a sigh followed by a short laugh, "Who knew I'd ever like one of your ideas?"

"It was my idea to come here," Clarisse pointed out.

"It was mine," he disagreed. "And if we do this we'd need to get Beckendorf off our backs though. He's expecting us back in an a little over an hour."

"Then I guess you get some needed time to rest up. I'll just go ahead and-"

"No, I'm going with you," he said seriously. "We had a deal."

She nodded, "Got any ideas on how to ditch him?"
