„You like... Knight Of Tomorrow, right?", Freya asked. She tried to not make eye contact with Roux.

„Yea. Why?"

„Have you ever seen it in cinemas?", she dared herself to look up. Roux looked directly at her.
„No."
„It's... um, there's a showcase of the entire trilogy at the Cosmos cinema, throughout the entire week," Freya took a deep breath. Why was she so nervous?

„I was gonna go see it, maybe you wanna come with me?",
„Sure, I'd love to. Just tell me the time.", zir grinned.
„The first part is played tomorrow evening, the second movie in three days and the third movie the day after that."
„Sure."

Freyas smile was unsure.
„So... it's settled?", she asked.
„Yes, at least the first movie. Should we meet directly at the cinema?"

Freya nodded and smiled. She was suddenly incapable of speaking. So she grinned, brightly.

Freyas euphoria didn't stop, it was still there in the evening and in the morning when she woke up the next day.
She looked at her phone, to her surprise it showed a text from Roux.

R: Considering the movie starts at seven, I'm thinking we should be there at least 40 minutes early. Y'know, to get tickets and stuff.

F: Yea, I'd a similar thought.

R: Great, sy

F: See ya

The sun was beginning to set when Freya arrived at the cinema. She could see Roux in the distance already, she beamed a smile.

„Hey...", they stood silently next to each other for a few seconds before Roux moved into the direction of the doorway.
„I reserved tickets when I arrived a few minutes ago."
„Oh", Freya didn't know what to say.
„Thank you."
„This line was shorter when I got here.", Roux laughed.

A few seconds of silence lasted before Roux spoke again.

„So, um I wanted to ask... is this a date?"

Freya avoided zir eyes, her heart started beating wildly.
„No, I didn't intend on a date. Do you want this to be a date?", she glanced sideways and noticed she couldn't read Roux' face.
„No no, I- it was just an idea."
„Great."

Silence fell over them. Freya stared at her hands, she wanted to say something. The silence felt weird. She looked around at the other cinema goers, some where demons, other vampires, at least Freya assumed the pale ones where vampires.

„How come you've n-never seen the movies in theaters?", she turned to Roux and noticed shockingly that zir where looking directly at her.

„When they played I never had the time to go. I'm glad you invited me.", Roux leaned forward.

During the movie, Freya had a hard time focusing. She still couldn't believe that she was actually in the cinema. With her crush.
Occasionally she looked over at Roux, sometimes zir looked back at them, but mostly zir was focused on the movie.

It was technically dark outside when they left the cinema. The street signs where as bright as ever.

„WOW! I didn't think these movies could get any better.", Roux laughed.
„Thank you for inviting me."

Right after that Roux did something surprising. Zir gave Freya a kiss on the cheek.
