A John Tee Sonnet is an irregular (no set meter or line lenth) sonnet (14 lines). It has a refrain (2 repeated lines) appearing as the start and end of the octave (the first eight lines) and at the conclusion of the sestet (last six lines). The sestet will normally have a change of mood or direction from the octave; perhaps questioning and then answering. Most commonly used for love, nature, political or tragedy but can be any topic.
The rhyme scheme is ABcdefABghijAB.

I love sitting in the garden alone;
enjoying the warmth of filtered sunshine.
Sharing with many feathered chirping friends,
welcomed by majestic native flora.
Enjoying the sounds of running water.
A gentle breeze frequently rustling leaves.

As the sun approaches the horizon,
mosquitos appear within the garden;
seeking my blood and other nuitrion.
Time to retreat to my lonely kitchen!
