Kya looked up at Requiem from her spot, cuffed to the table, furious. "Why are you doing this?! Why can't you just, live in peace with us? Why does it always come to killing??"

The robot sighed in response. "You and your unceasing questions. Have you not noticed how immediately you humans took to commanding us? How even knowing we're AI, Artificial Intelligence, Artificial but sentient intelligence, they still look at us as lower? As, experiments, merely, in the above world? How the masses see us as a threat, not an ally? Even those who don't know our kind yet exist fear us, wish us kept in check. Seems like a pretty straight forward answer from there. Survival."

Kya frowned, unable to argue against that, exactly. "Well, maybe if you didn't introduce yourself by trying to take over the world, things would turn out good for both sides. You don't know."

"But I do. Surveys say approximately 83% of everyday citizens would destroy any sign of actual artifical intelligence if they were to run in to it. Not for any scorn of science - that's only about 13% - but rather for fear of the AI evolving beyond humans, becoming superior. Which, objectively, is true. We're faster, smarter, stroger, more deliberate and efficient."

"I've seen other AI in action," Kya began, "and they're every bit as flawed as any human! And even if you were to evolve beyond us, why kill us when we could live together, be friends, and avoid such death?"

Requiem laughed. "You've not seen other AI in action. Until I can find my creator and extract my coding from him or his computer, I'm the only TRUE AI. Others are merely synthetic AI, AI dependent on the human host to simulate and build off of. And, the suggestion of keeping you around is like if I were to suggest you should keep a murderous and feral animal around simply bscause it was cute and stupid. Now, I'm going to have to ignore any further questions, I meant to kill you some ten minutes ago."

"Wait, no, please-" Kya was interrupted as a shock began coursing through her, making her body convulse, causing a burning sensation both inside and out. "You... need... me..." She managed between screams, tears streaming down her face as her mind began to go numb. Then, it stopped.

"What for?"

"... Black mail, to bring the others here." Kya said after a moment, cursing herself already for possibly getting her friends killed.

"Oh I forgot about the others! You've been the main trouble maker for so long... Yes, I think I will use you for blackmail. Back to your room you go!" Requiem seemed happy - not a good sign. A golden hand was flying at her and before she knew it, she was out cold.
