After the PE lesson end, Aera quickly went to the change room to change her uniform. She didn't want to meet those toxic classmates because she was really scared of their actions earlier. Knowing Jake didn't look at her, it hurt her a lot but she kept saying to herself that she deserved this kind of treat. The bad thing that happened to her now was the revenge for bringing Jake and his family into trouble.

As soon as she arrived, she locked herself in the room and burst into tears. She rubbed her head as it was still giving her pain after her classmates were throwing the ball on her head on purpose.

"I can't hold this anymore."

The toxic classmates were laughing while watching the video of Aera got hit by the ball earlier. They were repeating the video and laughed more because Aera was dumb, telling everyone that her toxic classmates were just playing around.

" Look at Jake. He didn't give any look."
They laughed and hit each other.

Jake went into the classroom after changing his uniform and saw those toxic classmates were still watching the video.

He ignored them and walked towards his seat.

" Jake, look at this." One of them gave the handphone to him, playing the video right in front of him.

Jake bit his lips and took the handphone.
He watched the video while holding his anger and suddenly threw it on the floor. He stepped on it causing it to break.

Everyone was watching his action and became scared.

" It's my phone! Pay it back!"

Jake crossed his arm,
" Knee down."

" Do you want me to tell my father about this?! He is a director and he is really rich. His money can make you-"

" Then why did he bring total trash in this world when he can make a gold one? You're just your parent's first trial. That's why they stopped giving you siblings because they can't bear with the other trashes."

Jake cut her off and grabbed her collar, pulling her closer to him with his eyes fixed on her seriously. She became scared and gasped for breath. She asked for help from her friends but they were leaving her with Jake.

" If you're still bothering that poor girl, I do not hesitate to kill you here." Jake choked her throat causing she cried.

" Let go of me-"

" Jake, I'm sorry."

" Jake, please-"

" Jake, what are you doing?!" Jay approached him and put his hand off from her neck.
Jake pushed her on the ground and gave a glare to everyone there.

" Just mind your own business. I didn't ask you to bully her. All of you didn't know anything. So, stop spreading hate on that girl." Jake said angrily and kicked the table hardly making everyone scared.

" I will probably make all of you suffer if you touch her with your bare dirty hand."

Jake loosed his collar and threw his jacket away before walking out of the classroom angrily.

He ignored Mr. Kang who was calling for him.

" Shim Jaeyun, come here or I'll call for your parents!"

" Fuck off, old man," Jake replied and left.

He spotted Sunghoon,

" Where are you going ?"

Jake ignored him,

" Are you searching for Aera?"

He stopped on his way and waited for Sunghoon to continue.

" No. Why should I search for her? We already broke up."

" Really? I'm glad to hear that."

Jake turned his body to face Sunghoon,
" Why don't you tell them the truth? You should protect her from those toxins. You are the student president."

" You know that they were bullying her when I was hospitalized. You should be told them the truth. Tell them that Aera and I were dating and I was saving her life. So, they will stop from hurting her."

Sunghoon took a deep breath and smiled, crossed his arm.

" Look, this bad boy can't move on from his first love." Sunghoon teased Jake.

" I don't care about her anymore-"

" Don't worry. I will protect her. I will make her mine too. I will make Aera completely forget you. You can mind your own business from
now on." Sunghoon left him after patting his shoulder and thanked him for leaving her to Sunghoon making Jake felt pissed off.

  After crying for a few minutes, Aera finally felt better. She washed her face and came out of the changing room. The class was starting and she was scared to go to the classroom because it was Mr. Ha's class, the strict teacher.

She decided to skip the class again and went to the rooftop as usual. As she stepped onto the rooftop, she was surprised when Jake was there too.

She watched him without saying anything, adoring him in silence. She pouted her lips because she misses him so much. She missed to hug him and look at him straight in his eyes but she knew her limit, realized that she will never feel those things from him again.

Jake rolled his sleeve and suddenly hurt himself by punching the brick hardly.
He groaned in pain but he still did it for no reason.

Aera knew that he was angry. So, she decided to leave but knowing he hurt himself, she didn't want to leave him in that way and just stood at the door, watching him.

" I hate you, Song Aera."

" How could you do this to me."

Jake hurt himself more.

He was about to punch again but he stopped when Aera stopped him by holding his arm.

" Stop this, Jake."

Jake lowered his gaze and sighed heavily.

" Don't touch me." He put her hand away and continue hurting himself.

Aera held her tears,
" Please stop hurting yourself."

" Go away. I don't want to see you here."

" Jake, let's go to the classroom-"

" I told you, go away. Leave me alone.

" Jake, please."

" Leave!"

Aera held his arm again,
" Jake-"

" Go away!" Jake said angrily and accidentally pushed her causing her fell to the ground.
Aera groaned in pain and cried again.

Jake was surprised at his action and approached her.

" Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean-"

Aera cried more and left the rooftop.

" Aera."

She fasten her steps towards the classroom when she heard his voice.

" Stop now."

" Hey."

Jake grabbed her hand to stop her but she didn't face him. She was still crying and felt embarrassed for no reason.

" I was just worried about you."

" I didn't expect you will do that to me. I guess you hate me so much."

She let go of her hand from him and took a step to leave.

Jake suddenly approached her and hugged her from behind.

" Of course, I hate you for breaking up with me."

" I hate you so much."

Aera remained silent and sniffed her nose.

" But I still want to protect you because it's my promise."

" So, I'm sorry for hurting you and ignoring you when you got bullied."

" I should protect you."

" I'm sorry."

" I'm not gonna do it again."

" I'm sorry, stupid."

Jake hugged her tighter.

Aera wanted to hug him back but she stopped when she saw his parents were watching them from far.

Aera looked at his mother nervously, remembered his mother's words that day.

She quickly put Jake's hand away from her and avoided his mother's gaze on her.

" I want to hug you longer."

" Jake, no." Aera looked at Jake, hoping he will understand.

" Stay away from me from now on. I'm begging you." She said loudly to make his parents heard that.

Jake sighed, " I guess you don't love me anymore."

Aera bit her lips and looked at his mother.
She shut her eyes, too guilty to say that to Jake.

Aera sobbed in tears, " I don't love you. I don't have any single feeling on you."

Jake approached her closer,
" But how? how does this happen?"

Jake reached his hand to hold her but Aera avoided him.
" Let's kiss again. Let's make sure if you're telling the truth or not."

Aera shook her head and gave a signal to Jake that his parents were here.

Jake didn't understand her and just held her hand, leaned his lips closer to her.

Aera became scared.

" Your parents are here," Aera said to him slowly.

He slowly let go of her and looked at his parents.

They were glaring at him and went to Mr. Kang's room.

Aera took a chance to run away from Jake and left him alone.

Jake was just watching her gone from his vision,

and felt strange,

" Did something happen between them?"

" Did my mother make something to force Aera to break up with me?"
