chapter twenty five
╰  ( infinity war )

💫 ━━ WANDA steps into the Avengers Compound and expects her niece to come running into her arms. She doesn't.

"Where is Paisley?" Wanda asks Steve, looking towards the man that had helped save Vision in a time when they had been attacked. "Steve?"

Steve is looking towards the ground. He had learnt that Paisley had been with Tony Stark when he had disappeared from the face of the earth without a trace. "With Tony."

Wanda is furious and upset now. She wants her niece back and she'll fight whoever she needs to to get her niece back into her arms.

Paisley is missing, gone from earth, and Wanda has failed her brother.

💫 ━━ A BLUE mist wraps around Tony Starks foot. He's hiding away and trying his best not to be caught by any of the aliens on the ship he and many others had been beamed up into. Tony panicked when he felt the tug against his foot, but realizing that it was indeed not an alien and instead Paisleys magic, he calmed his heart rate.

"Oh, it's just Pais." Tony breathed out, eyeing the blue mist that lead towards what looked to be a cloak. He figured that if he squinted hard enough he would be able to see Paisley, he couldn't.

"Paisley is here?" Peter speaks up from where he is handing from the roof.

"Pais is here dad?" Ryder says as he clings to Peter, scared that the spider boy would drop him to the floor. His nanotech suit has retracted and he's in a hoodie and jeans.

Tony frowns as Peter swings himself and Ryder so they both land on the ground, feet first. The thud they make is quiet, almost not existent, but Tony can't help but worry. All three of his kiddos are on this ship. "What are you two doing here?!"

Ryder looks up at his adoptive father, tugging on his sleeves of his hoodie. "We know what you're gonna say."

"You two should not be here." Tony glared at the two teenage boys in front of him. Reckless, silly, stupid, idiotic — the words just kept ringing in his head.

Peter attempts to smile, but when Tony narrows his eyes at him, he lets the smile drop. "I were gonna go home —"

Tony shook his head. "I don't wanna hear it."

"But it was such a long way down and I just thought about you on the way — and then I saw Ryder and I couldn't just leave him." Peter continues anyways, despite Tony having told him he didn't want to hear it.

Tony sighs, "And now I gotta hear it."

Peter nods, "And I kinda stuck to the side of the ship. And this suit is ridiculously intuitive, by the way. So if anything, it's kinda your fault that I'm here." And that is where he fucked up.

Tony looks towards Peter with a shocked face, glazing at his adoptive son quickly. "Did he just say that? What did you just say, Peter?"

Peter shakes his head quickly, diverting his gaze to the floor. "I take that back. And now I'm here in space."

"Yeah." Tony gives a quick nod before he looks between both teenagers, his eyes darting down afterwards to the blue mist still wrapped around his foot. "Right where I don't want you two to be. This isn't Coney Island. This isn't a field trip. It's one-way ticket. You two hear me? Don't pretend like either of you thought this through. Neither of you could not have possibly thought this through."

Ryder frowns at his father. Out of many times since Tony had adopted him, he's messed up about three or four times. He hated that he's having to add this onto his list now. "No. I - we did think this through."

"You could not have possibly thought this through." Tony looked between the two, tugging his foot that had the blue mist wrapped around it. He sighed; he just wanted them to be safe.

Peter and Ryder shared a look. Ryder taking the small step forward and starting to talk in a hushed whisper. "It's just ... you can't be a friendly neighborhood IronBoy and Spider – Man when there's no neighborhood." Ryder paused. "Okay. That didn't really make any sense, but you know what I'm trying to say."

Tony sighed, wrapping his arms around both teenagers. "Come on. We got a situation. See him down there? He's in trouble. Who has a plan? Go."

Peter smiles; he has a plan. It clicked in his head the second he saw his surroundings, and he knows it did in Ryders head too. "Um. Okay ... did you ever see that really old movie, Aliens?"

The scrawny bony alien man turns and looks at Tony and the two teenagers beside him. His eyes then wonder to the blue mist that seems to grow bigger with each second. "Could end your friend's life in an instant."

Tony shrugged nonchalantly, lightly pushing the two kids behind him. "I gotta tell you, he's not really my friend. Saving his life is more a professional courtesy."

The alien man shakes his head, eyes narrowed as he looks at Tony. "You've saved nothing. Your powers are inconsequential compared to mine."

Now Tony Stark smirks his signature smirk, "Yeah, but the kid's seen more movies."

Tony fires a rocket that had emerged from the side of his shoulder — which then flys into the side of the ship, piercing the metal and begins to suck everything out.

Steven Strange is starting to be sucked out of the hole, but his trustworthy cape that had been hiding Paisley for so long, is now wrapping around his body. The pull is too strong and Peter has to web Strange to the inside of the ship to stop him from flying out of the hole.

The web breaks and as a last resort, Peter webs himself to Strange and uses one of his new found suits abilities to help keep them from being sucked out. It works.

"Yes! Wait, what are those!"

Peter and Strange hit the floor as Tony and Ryder cover up the hole with some kind of technology reinforcement. Something Tony had created in a lab, late at night for sure.

"The blue mist is gone, where's Pais? Pais?" Tony asks, whirling around in a circle to try and spot Paisley and wherever she could be.

"Hey, we haven't officially met." Peter holds out his hand for the cloak to shake, only it ignores him and goes right towards Strange. "Cool."

"Petey!" Paisley shrieks as she comes barreling through a small area and into the shaggy haired teenagers wide arms. "Hi!"

Tony sighs in relief, glad that his heart had calmed down once he had seen the young girl run into the spiderlings arms.

Strange didn't even give Tony a change to say anything. He spoke first, making the man close his mouth with a sigh. "We've gotta turn this ship around."

Tony shook his head side to side, scrunching his nose. "Yeah. Now he wants to run. Great plan."

Steven Strange shook his head, squinting at the man in front of him. "No, I want to protect the stone."

Tony stood tall and puffed out his chest. He placed his lips in a tight line and waited, "And I want you to thank me. Go ahead. I'm listening."

The two continued to bicker back and forth, all well Paisley played a game of rock paper scissors with Peter and Ryder.

"And due to that fact, we're now in a flying doughnut billions of miles away from Earth with no backup." Tony spoke and Paisley smiled up at her uncle, looking away from the two teenagers.

"I'm backup." Paisley jumped excitedly, waving her hand around wildly.

Tonys eyes bulged and he looked baffled. "No. You and your friends are all stowaways. The adults are talking."

Strange looked between Tony and the three kids that were all standing together. "I'm sorry, I'm confused as to the relationship here. What are they, your wards?"

"No. I'm peter, by the way." Peter stuck out his hand by Strange wouldn't shake it.

"And I'm Ryder." Ryder did the same thing his friend had done, only he didn't receive a hand shake either.

"Doctor Strange."

"Oh we're using our made-up names. Um ... I'm Spider-Man, then. And he's IronBoy and she's misty!"

"You came up with that right now, didn't you?" Ryder turned towards Peter, referring to misty that had never been said before.

Paisley gasped happily. "I have a superhero name!"
