The Sakamakis Past(Yumi's POV):
"Wh-wha?..."

I slowly stood up and find myself surrounded by the mysterious fog where I got up curiously looking around.

"Strange...this isn't my room. And where is this fog coming from?"

I asked myself as I started walking through the foggy path, the fog somehow died down where I found myself outside of the mansion.

"How did I..."

Then I heard three children laughing from afar where turned around to recognize the triplets as little kids happily chasing each other.

"Awwww I didn't know the triplets were that adorable. So wait, does that mean I'm..."

I then secretly followed the young triplets behind the bushes until I heard a unfamiliar voice from afar, I slowly took a glance and saw a beautiful lady in a long black dress with purple hair and green eyes.

"Who is she?"

I asked myself as I slowly take closer look at the woman where I saw the young Laito and Kanato running off while she's standing there with Ayato, I slowly once again take a closer look while hiding in the bushes, I saw something that no other child should go through.

SMACK!

"Don't you dare disobey me Ayato! Do you know what your role is in the family?"

"Y-Yes, but-"

As the young Ayato tried to explain, she rudely cuts him off.

"Shut your mouth!"

She coldly demanded as she rephrased this to Ayato again.

"I'll say this again, what is your role as the oldest son?"

She asked as Ayato sadly said.

"My role is to be best. And if I'm not the best, then I people who are not the best shall die in the bottom of the lake."

He said it sadly as the woman happily patted him on the head and said it arrogantly.

"Exactly Ayato, you must be the best and if not, you will never consider as my son and you won't rise from the water until you're the best. Now go to your room and study!"

She coldly demanded as Ayato run away crying, I watched the young Ayato running in tears as I turned to the woman, I frown at the lady who treated Ayato like crap.

That lady! No wonder why Ayato acts like an arrogant asshole...Geez Ayato, for once I feel bad for you.

As I kept on walking with the fog reappeared on the path, the fog once again dies down when I saw a beautiful white rose on the ground, I find myself surrounded by the gorgeous gardens of white roses.

Then I saw a young white haired boy whom I recognized him as Subaru, standing outside the tower where his mother is locked up. He is looking at his mother and she was looking at him but turned away. He drops his head and the silver knife he is holding drops to the ground.

Was that his mother up there? She seem to look sad, I wonder why? Whatever it is it has to do with Subaru acting the way he is.

I looked at the young Subaru with sympathy feeling sorry for him and his mother. Then the fog reappeared as I started walking, I heard a drop of water from the fountain where the fog dies down again.

I then saw a beautiful woman who looked exactly like Shu sitting with a young Reiji who is reading a book on the table. Then I heard a loud giggle from a young Shu who I found myself surprised when he looked happy as a child, he was carrying a puppy as he walks towards his and Reiji.

Awww I never Shu could be that adorable.

Just then his mother came down to him and asked him.

"Shu what is it you got there?"

He happily smiled as he showed the puppy he's holding to his mother.

"Look mother, my friend Edgar gave me a puppy to play with isn't he adorable mother?"

He cheerfully said it as he giggles at the puppy when licking his cheeks.

"Shu! You are the eldest child of the family, so you must be responsible for your self and you need to be the best for the family."

She strictly said it as she commands the butler to take the puppy away, he came up to the young Shu attempting to get the puppy back.

"Hey what are you doing?! Give it back! I promised to Edgar that I will take great care of him! Stop! Let go! I said let go!"

As the butler finally grabbed the puppy, he then walks away from it with Shu running away in tears with Reiji sitting there watching.

Then Reiji spoke to his mother politely.

"Look mother, I recognized every line from the book that I just read."

He shows the book he read to his mother, but no avail she ignores him and gets back on what she's doing.

Poor Shu, she doesn't have the right to take that puppy away, but I wonder what's Reiji like in the past. It seems like he was trying to get her attention but for what reason?

I questioned myself as the fog reappeared but this time, I found myself in Reiji's room when I saw Reiji as grown man talking to someone, I slowly take a closer look where I recognized the man anyway.

Is that...my father?! W-What is my father doing in the house?! Why is Reiji talking to my father?! What does he want with him?!...

I asked myself as I heard Reiji talking to my father about doing his work.

"Mr. Komori, I want you to kill a particular woman that I know since childhood."

He then slowly pulled out a photo of his mother to show my father.

He wants to kill his mother? Why? My father won't do anything cruel.

I said to myself while I stood there in surprise, my father asked him.

"And what's murdering this woman going to do?"

"You not need to learn about that. Since you are a vampire hunter yourself, I expect you to do as I say and get the job done. Did I made myself clear?"

He politely demands as he reluctantly nodded.

"Y-Yes sir, I will do as you please."

"Good."

As I saw the two shook hands, I became dumbfounded to see my father would do such an awful thing.

W-What?....He's a vampire hunter?! W-Why didn't father tell me and Yui that?! I hated my father for years now but I didn't expect him to be that deplorable! Why father? Why did hide the truth from us?! Why didn't you tell us?!

I asked him indirectly as I became extremely frustrated by the truth that my father has been hiding this whole time. Then I became more angry when the fog teleports me to the outside of the mansion, I saw something that no child should watch. I watched him hiding behind the bushes where Reiji's mother is standing on the hill looking at the skies, he immediately pulls the trigger and shot her from the chest as she falls down on the hill with my father immediately running away from the dying woman.

I stood there shocked and became more angry at father for what he did way back. Not only I hated him for giving Yui attention, not only I hated him for hiding things from me, but I won't ever forgive him for doing such despicable action.

Then I slowly got down to my knees and put my hands on my face as I started to cry after what I saw.

H-How could he?...*sniffs* How could he do that to an innocent woman?! *sniffs*

I then started sobbing as I never felt so betrayed and hurt by someone close to her before.

Why father?! WHY?!?! *sobs madly and loudly*

As I scream in emotional pain of betrayal and sadness while still on my knees to the ground, I saw Reiji with his dying mother.

"Last the day has come...."

She weakly said it as she breathes lifelessly.

"Finally, I have witnessed your power with my own two eyes...since the day that you are born, I have clung desperately to the hope that you Reiji, would be the one...who would ultimately kill me."

She said it with a smile on her face.

"And I'm finally...satisfied..."

She finally said her last words as she died happily in peace with Reiji staring at his dead mother confused by what he's seeing.

"In the end would die...with a smile on your face?..."

He said curiously but then he became frustrated as he scolded at her for accepting her fate.

"No...I cannot allow it! I will not allow it! You do not deserve a peaceful death mother and I have no intention of giving it to you! How could you expect me to allow that after everything you put me through?!"

He said it as he kept shouting at his dead mother, everything has turned completely white as I stood there shocked by what I've seen while still on my knees, I slowly lied down covering both legs with my left arm with my right arm reaching towards my face covering my teary face with my hands as I kept on crying nonstop not forgetting the brutal sight, my tears will not stop as I felt everything disappearing from me.

Yumi's Past(Reiji's POV):
Strange?...I don't remember being outside of the church?...

I questioned myself as I walked towards the church, I caught a glimpse of a young girl that recognized.

Was that...Yui?...Hold on...does that mean...

I questioned myself when I immediately followed the young Yui, I found myself surprised to realized that I'm in Yumi's past where I saw a young Yumi reading the Bible with her father that I quickly recognized as the vampire hunter that I hired to kill my mother.

This is Yumi's past...

I said to myself as I watched a young Yui happily coming up towards her father and show her the gifts that the church gave.

"Look father! The whole church gave me a whole bag of gifts and they even praised me for my beliefs of god!"

She said it happily as her father comes up to her and smiles warmly at her patting her in the head.

"Well done Yui. You did an excellent job of your beliefs and keep up the good work! You'll be a great believer of god and everyone will praise and love you forever."

He said it proudly as Yui smiled him back.

"Okay father! I promise I'll praise and believe god forever and always pray for him no matter what happens in life!"

Then I saw a glance of Yumi looking down on Yui envied by the attention her father is giving. She then formed a smile and called him out.

"Father look! I recognized the whole verse of the Bible look!"

She said as she tries to get his attention, he didn't look at her and said it bluntly.

"Ah yes, good job Yumi. You did good now get back to studying."

She then looked saddened by his lack of attention as she ran off with her bible, I then followed a young Yumi to the chapel where I came in and saw her praying.

"Dear god, please give me more attention. I want to be the center of attention. I want to be praised by the church. I want to be praised and loved by my father. Please god make it happen amen."

She hopefully prayed as she holds faith in god, the background disappeared as the fog reappeared again, the fog disappeared when I found myself outside of the church once more, I found a young Yumi crying in the swings.

"Yumi..."

I said it indirectly as I emphasized the young human.

Just then a young Yui came out ran after her.

"Yumi! Come back! Please come back to the Church. Father is worried about you and I don't want anyone to get worried."

She said as she attempts to reach her shoulders, Yumi angrily slaps her arm away from her.

"Ow!"

"Don't you DARE touch me you show off!"

Yumi then gets off from the swings and angrily glares at her with tears still there in her eyes.

"Yu-"

"SHUT UP!"

She shouted at her sister while still glaring at her, Yui became shocked by her behavior.

"Why would you come out here finding me?!"

She said as Yui tilt her head in confusion, she then asked her again.

"Yumi..."

"I SAID SHUT UP!"

She shouted once more when she aggressively pushed her to the ground, Yui slowly gets back.

"Ow! Yumi please, I was trying to help you."

She gently said it as Yumi kept glaring at her.

"Help?...Help?! I've been ignored and isolated by everyone else since the moment I came to the church because of what you did to me! Because of what you have become! Because of you stole my attention from the church! Because of you ruined my chance to gain attention from my father!"

"Wha...What do you mean?..."

She asked confusingly as I mentally face palm at her stupidity, I then saw Yumi fuming with anger and irritation.

"I'm not going to say that you IGNORANT SHOW OFF!!!!"

She yelled as she aggressively pushed her to the ground with full strength as hard as she can, she looks down on her with contempt and disgust.

"Damnit I hate you! You ruined my life! You ruined everything! You stole everything that I was given a chance for! You stole everyone that I'm close with away from me! I hate you Yui Komori! I hate you!"

She angrily shouted as she slowly gets, Yui then ran away with tears under her eyes.

Just then Yumi ran after her as I followed the them as well.

As the ran for the hill, Yumi then threw insults at her with Yui still crying.

"Yui get back here! I'm telling father that you are a show off! A pathetic fool! A simpleton! A god believing freak! I hate you! You hear me Yui?! I hate you so much!"

She angrily scream at her where she successfully threw a rock at her head as she instantly fell down to the ground, she slowly gets up rubbing her throbbing head while looking at her with fear into her eyes as she's about to punch her, her father called.

"Yumi!"

She then stops of what she's doing and stares at her father with her father glaring at her.

"What were you doing to her?"

He seriously asked as she immediately ran away from her father and sister, her father then asked her.

"Yumi wait!"

He called her out but nevertheless, she ignores her father's commands as she kept running away in tears, the flashback ended with the background turning completely white as I stood there shocked by the pain and suffering that the person I loved is going through.

Yumi...I finally understand now...I'm so sorry that you have to go through. If I were there, I would've helped you.

As I emphasized the young girl, I then heard a loud cry from behind where I turned myself around to see Yumi crying on the ground.

"Yumi..."

I then slowly walked up to the crying Yumi and stared at her with sadness and empathy looking at her like a wounded animal.

Then I get on my knees and embrace her with all of my heart shocking her as she slowly turns her head towards me.

"R...Reiji?.."

She asked me with tears still dropping from her eyes as I embrace her more.

"I'm sorry Yumi, I'm so sorry..."

He empathetically said it as I felt tears under eyes dropping to her shoulder, she became shocked by my own emotions as she starts crying again when she asked me.

"Reiji....did you actually ordered my father to kill your mother?..."

She asked tearfully as I gently kissed her on the cheek and whispered.

"I did Yumi, but that was a long time ago. I was trying to gain attention from my mother but I was so confused by my mother's attention towards Shu to the point where I asked myself what did I do wrong?"

I said it as she immediately turns around and hugs me back.

"Then don't do that!"

She commands me wholeheartedly as I stood there in shock by what she said.

"Please...Please don't kill other people...I said it...because I love you so much Reiji. *sniffs* It makes me hurt when people do something like this...just like how my father did to your mother..."

She tearfully said as she starts crying once more, I then hug her with all of my heart and emotions.

"Please don't cry Yumi, I won't do anything hideous because I already found someone who can warm my heart. You melt my cold heart Yumi. And I love you Yumi. I love you with all of my heart."

I finally confessed as I immediately cupped her face and kissed her as poured all of my inner emotions and feelings for the woman I love unconditionally. Then the two of us break the kiss as both of us stared lovingly, she then said this to me.

"Reiji, I have something to say to you."

"What is it?"

I asked her curiously as she brings her face closely to mine and cups my face, she gently kissed me in the forehead and looked at me with loving pink eyes while smiling.

"...I love you too."

She then kissed me on the lips as I closed my eyes and kissing her back, I slowly wrapped my arms around her. As they both of us kissed passionately, everything around us became completely white as we finally found each other.

I love you so much Reiji.

And I love you too Yumi.
