Anna had just finished writing a letter which was meant for Count Clovis and his father, Emperor Laudus, letting both Frankish royals that Hiccup was abducted by Vikings who're part of the massive army that are encamped in Wales. After the ink dried and placing the letter in an envelope, she handed it to a nearby messenger and commanded them to leave for Paris at the earliest opportunity. The red-head Haddock not only felt the crushing weight of running this kingdom by herself, but also the nauseating thought of losing Hiccup made her sick to her stomach, this same feeling was redirected towards Elsa and Sophia. Setting down the pen she was writing with and placing it back in the small cup of ink, Anna sighed heavily as she then looked outside a window that overlooked Arendelle and all its glory. This kingdom has flourished under the Haddock family's rule, and Anna feared if they lost Hiccup to the wrath of the heathens, then it would be a fatal blow from which they may never recover from.

"Anna, you're fidgeting," Rapunzel stated, "you need to take a deep breath and relax."

Turning to face her cousin, Anna sighed heavily and shook her head. "I can't help it Punzie," she placed a hand over her heart and continued, "we find ourselves living in very uncertain times were the last true great heathen army is ready to devour England and the Christian faith. And if we are to survive such a battle, we need Hiccup to stand with us, his keen mind is his greatest weapon and it's a weapon that has dispatched many of our enemies to the afterlife over the years."

"True, but if there's one thing I know about Hiccup is that he's more than capable of taking caring of himself," Rapunzel said as she approached her cousin and took her hands, "have faith, and pray that Hiccup will somehow escape from the heathens grasp and return to your arms." Anna nodded and smiled sadly. "Hiccup's absence isn't just effecting me, but also Rebecca and Gideon," she then continued, "they were with Valka when they saw Hiccup being taken. They... They keep asking me if Hiccup is going to die, and I reassure them of course Hiccup isn't going to to die. But I fear that Hiccup won't last long with the heathens, they're going to kill him slowly day by day for killing so many of their brethren over the years."

Rapunzel then wrapped her arms around Anna and hugged her, while whispering in her ear. "As I said, you need to have faith. Hiccup is smart, he'll figure out a way to slip out of the heathen encampment," Rapunzel then gently cupped Anna's cheeks and smiled at her, "why don't you go outside and get some fresh air, you need a break from being Arendelle's queen." Anna wanted to object because there was still much work to do, but Rapunzel could be very persistent and Anna didn't have the energy to argue because it was nearing early evening and a break did sound lovely.

"Come with me?" Anna asked hopefully, Rapunzel smiled and nodded at her cousin and the two relatives made their way outside to the palace garden to get some much needed air and to briefly escape the responsibilities of running a kingom.

(Elsa's pov)

Despite it's once vast power being gone for centuries, Rome is still impressive in its size and influence here in Italy. This is the capital of our faith and it stands as the ultimate prize for the heathen to take and claim as their own, if the Vikings can sack Rome and destroy all sacred texts and literature about our Lord, Christ Jesus, then our world will plundge into darkness and heathens will conquer the world.

So much is at stake.

I fight not only to protect the Christian faith, but I fight for my people, and family. Especially for my family, I will fight to my last breath to keep them safe and ensure that every vile Viking who threatens our way of life and our faith are struck down and suffer eternal damnation.

The journey to Rome took weeks, we had to sail to Frankia, and travel by carage until we finally reached the gates of the once mighty Roman Empire. Although the journey was long, tiring, and perilous, I found it comforting because it gave Sophia and I the opportunity to further our bond as sisters and share our magical powers to each other. When we had time to settle in inns, I helped train Sophia how to better control her powers and even taught her how to wield a sword and create souless pawns with her powers. I told her of the great battle that took place five years ago at Arendelle, after I killed that devil Prince Hans and how I created an ice army to help Hiccup destroy the Viking army at Arendelle's gates. Needless to say, Sophia was struck with awe and wonder, she was improving during the training sessions we had when we were able to rest, and I could tell her power of stone would be a most welcome addition to help us vanquish the Vikings.

Currently, we were strolling through the streets of Rome while being accompanied by my personal guards who were in tight formation around us. The streets were packed with people of all race, color, culture, and tongue it was... most exotic to say the least. I barely have time to travel beyond Arendelle and to see such sights made me realize just how big this world really is and how many souls are lost as well. If the Vikings destroy our faith, then it will be forever lost to history and so many souls will be seperated from their Maker and eternal paradise. If the Vikings destroy our efforts to defeat them, then trillions of souls will suffer for all eternity and be led astray, this is a holy war to preserve our kingdoms, faith, and lead souls in the right direction.

"Elsa? Elsa!"

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked to Sophia, for a moment a pang of hurt struck my heart because it was like I was looking right into the face our late mother.

"I'm sorry Sophia," I said, "my mind was occupied with thoughts of the uncertain future. What were you saying?"Sophia then pointed to a company of Roman soldiers, a centurion approached and eyed both myself and Sophia from head to toe and then inquired. "Queen Elsa and Queen Anna?" Licking my lips, I stepped forward and clarified. "I am Queen Elsa," turning to Sophia, I smiled at her, "and this is my recovered sister, Princess Sophia." The centurion grunted in acknowledgment and and then spoke up. "I am Legatus Titus, welcome to Rome," he then gestured to a neaby church, "we will escort you to see the Pope." Legatus Titus and his men led us to the church he gestured to, he then turned his head and spoke up. "We've heard how the savage, barbaric Vikings have kindnapped your husband Queen Elsa, may I ask how are your faring?"

"In truth? I worry not only for the life of my husband but for the future of our faith and those who acknowledge Christ as their Lord and savior," I then continued, "if the heathens devour England, they'll turn their sight to Rome and either claim it for themselves or finally reduce it to ash and rubble."

"I will never let that happen!" Titus growled out.

"And that's why we're here Legatus Titus," Sophia said, "we need the aid of Pope Atticus as well as Rome's emperor. May I ask who rules Rome?"

"Emperor Tiberius," Titus said, "he's strong, respected, and has declared that once his term as emperor has passed, he will return Rome back to the people as we will endure as a republic."

As we entered the church, there were people praying, nuns bringing forth people afflicted with physical or supernatural inflictions, and Pope Atticus was the one there to pray for them and do what he could to relieve them of their pain. Legatus Titus then turned to both myself and Sophia and spoke softly. "Wait here, and I'll inform him of your arrival," we both nodded in thanks and watched as he approached Atticus.

"Are you ready to plead our case to him?" Sophia asked me, I let out a heavy sigh and nodded at her words. "We need the Roman legions to help us defeat the Viking hordes," turning to Sophia, I take one of her hands interlace our fingers together, "this war between our faith and the heathens faith will be immortalized in history. But if we are to gain the upper hand against our enemies, we need to retrieve Hiccup before the Vikings kill him." Sophia was about to speak but we laid eyes on Pope Atticus and Legatus Titus, we both bowed our heads in greetings at Atticus, but the seasoned man waved such plesantries aside and spoke. "My dear girls, it pains my heart to hear that the pagans have abducted King Haddock and now hold him against his will," he then raised his eyebrows in question, "I take it you've come here to beg for the Roman legions to aid you and England?"

"Yes," I said firmly, "we need the support of Rome to not only aid us in destroying the heathens entirely, but to preserve our faith in Christ. If the Vikings are able to sack the whole of England? They'll turn their eyes here and either claim the city for themselves or burn it to the ground. This isn't just a war to preserve our lands and kingdoms, but this is a holy war!" Atticus nodded in agreement and swallowed thickly before speaking up. "You have my support," he gestrued to the poor souls who came here to find relief from their suffering, "they will never be at peace if the heathens rule and manage to destroy our armies, so many souls will be lost. The pagans must not win!"

"Rest assured Pope Atticus, they will not succeed in destroying us and our faith."

We all turned around and laid eyes on Emperor Tiberius and bowed our heads to him in greetings, the emperor then approached me and took my hands and squeezed in a reassuring and friendly manner. "I was troubled when I heard the news of your husbands abduction in Arendelle," he then continued, "your husband has been there for not only the kingdoms of England, but for us as well. He and his Night Fury are two keen blades we cannot afford to lose."

"The Vikings have Hiccup in their clutches and will kill him slowly day by day, and when they've had their fill of torturing him, they'll put him to death the Vikings kill traitors," I then released a shaky breath, "if they kill Hiccup, then we will be at a great disadvantage in the impending war. My husband knows the heathens better than us because he once lived among them, he not only knows their strengths but also their weaknesses, Hiccup's mind is just as if not more sharper than any blade. We cannot allow the Vikings to gain the upper hand by killing Hiccup."

"Do you intend on rescuing your husband?" Tiberius inquired.

"Of course I do," I said firmly, "but right now, I know that Hiccup would want me to solidify an accord with you Emperor Tiberius. We have the support of all the English kingdoms, and even the Franks, now all that's left is Rome and its finest legions. Join us, and this will be the last war we'll ever have to fight in our lifetime, we can grow old to see the next generation replace us and lead our people to glory and prosperity! We don't have much time, this Viking army is vast and it thirsts for conquest and battle, they will wash us away if we don't stand together. What say you, Emperor Tiberius? Are you with us?"

"Of course I'm with you," the Roman emperor responded immeadiately, "we will assemble our armies and prepare them for departure to Engalnd at the soonest opportunity." Turning to Legatus Titus, the emperor gave him his orders. "Legatus, assemble our armies and their commanders, we must be prepared to set out at the earliest opportunity," he then added, "and I shall accompany you and the army alongside my Praetorian Guard." Titus bowed his head in understanding, gathered his men, and left the church to gather the Roman armies.

"We should be prepared to depart Rome by dawn," Tiberius said while turning to me and Sophia, he then turned to Pope Atticus. "pray for us my friend, there is much to pray for." Bowing his head in both understanding and agreement, Atticus dismissed himself and returned to his duties with the church.

"In the mean time Queen Elsa, may I escort you and your sister to the palace to rest for the night?" Tiberius asked, I nodded and thanked him for his generocity. While making our way to Tiberius's palace, Sophia took my hand and gave me a smile. "We're now one step closer to winner this war," she then reassured me, "we will get Hiccup back, I promise you." I wrapped an arm around Sophia and gave her a side hug, which she returned. It was so good to have her in my life and just... be there to support me when my mind is all over the place.

Now that we've secured an alliance with Rome, our next course of action will be to liberate Hiccup from the heathens clutches, I just hope we're not too late.

A/N: Stay tuned for more, Hiccup is going to be haunted by ghosts from his past and the Vikings will be planning for the upcoming war.
