One ofBanff's great claims to fame is its rugged scenery, which is considered to be some of the most beautiful in world. Banff's stunning geography of glaciers, sharp peaks, deep-aqua lakes and ice fields was influenced by massive geological forces hundreds of millions of years. Sediment formed the rock base of the Rocky Mountains, continental shifting brought the rise of the mountains and glaciers cut the drastic valleys of Banff, making the mountains appear to be some of the largest in the world, though they're actually moderate in elevation. These glaciers continue to surround the park, feeding the lakes and providing their distinctive color.

The park has 56 mammal species that have been recorded. Grizzly and black bears inhabit the forested regions. Cougar, lynx, wolverine, weasels, northern river otter and wolves are the primary predatory mammals. Elk, mule deer, and white-tailed deer are common in the valleys of the park, including around (and sometimes in) theBanfftownsite, while moose tend to be more elusive, sticking primarily to wetland areas and near streams

Premier League

The Premier League is an English professional league for association football clubs. At the top of the English football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. The Premier League is a corporation in which the 20 member clubs act as shareholders. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 38 matches each, totalling 380 matches in the season. Most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays, with a few games played during weekday evenings. It was known as the Premiership from 1993 to 2007. It is currently sponsored by Barclays Bank and therefore officially known as the Barclays Premier League.

There are 20 clubs in the Premier League. During the course of a season (from August to May) each club plays the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 38 games. Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored. At the end of each season, the club with the most points is crowned champion. The three lowest placed teams are relegated into the Football League Championship, and the top 5 teams are eligible to attend The UEFA Champion League, which is the most prestigious football competition for clubs in the world.
