Personality: Sachihiro spent his entire life playing second fiddle to his birth uncle's family and through this developed a closed off, timid personality, which allowed him to be easily intimidated by people such as Rieka. However, after the death of his husband he finds closure in carrying on the man's legacy. He does this by unconsciously adapting his deceased husband's mannerisms - he becomes louder, more argumentative, and suddenly always had something to say. He became emotional, a true Uzumaki. It was his own twisted way of coping, but it got to the point were Sachihiro didn't even recognise himself.

History

Sachihiro was a quiet well mannered child who grew up in the Branch Family of the Hyuuga clan as Hyuuga Hizashi's eldest son. He met his future his Ren when the Uzumaki transferred into his class from other village, he was only eight (and Ren nine) but both outcast and therefore formed a tight bond quickly. Sachihiro excelled in Taijutsu and was granted the rank of Special Jonin, soon joining the ANBU Black Ops at sixteen. He would later join the Special Operations ANBU Squad at nineteen with Ren (twenty) and Hatake Kakashi (fourteen), under Akiyama Rieka (also fourteen). However the team disbanded after only a few months due to their Leader's retirement and the squad members went their separate ways. Sachihiro and Ren were transferred into another ANBU Squad were their fought together for a year before soon becoming lovers when Sachihiro was twenty (Ren twenty-one). Sachihiro lost his right Byakugan eye on a solo mission in Kirigakure when he encountered Ao. He later gained the Sharingan eye after a childhood friend, Uchiha Tajima, passed away during his absence and his eye was transplanted into Sachihiro after his family's blessing.

Hyuuga Hizashi and his son Sachihiro had always had a shaky relationship, what with his son never living up to his expectations, but his losing of the Hyuuga's legacy and gaining of the Uchiha's "disgusting" ability was the final straw. Sachihiro is disowned and is forced to revoke his name and status as a Hyuuga, forbidden from producing "tainted" offspring. This does not keep him down for long as Ren immediately proposes and Sachihiro takes the surname Uzumaki. The two wed at twenty-one and twenty-two, Sachihiro's little brother Hyuuga Neji being the only Hyuuga to attend due to Hizashi's refusal and Hyuuga Sasonia's (Sachihiro's mother's) death.

Sachihiro builds up an infamous reputation as the Duel Wielder for his frightening skill with his duel blades and his even more frightening duel eyes. He soon acquires the rank of S, marked for dead throughout the Shinobi Nations. He reunites with Akiyama Rieka after her many years of retirement when he accompanies her (as an ANBU) to rescue his cousin Hyuuga Hinata who was kidnapped by the former Kirigakure shinobi, Hoshigaki Kisame, under the orders of Iwagakure officials.  

Sachihiro is saddened to learn of Akiyama Rieka's betrayal.

After awhile Ren and Sachihiro decide to settle down and therefore retire from their lives as ANBU — becoming Genin Sensei. During their waiting period to become said teachers, Sachihiro discovers an orphanage and soon an Uchiha. Forsaken for being born premature and therefore unable to ever manifest the Sharingan, he was abandoned. Sachihiro adopts the child, naming him Uzumaki Tajima after his friend who gave him his Sharingan eye, he raises the child with Ren. Sachihiro takes long-term leave to raise Tajima while Ren becomes a Genin Sensei.

Years pass and Sachihiro hasn't been an active shinobi for four years, he is suddenly called up on a diplomatic mission to Kusagakure that requires his skills; as there is very little S-Rank shinobi left in Konoha anymore. Ren is assigned to join him and with no notice and desperation, they two are forced to bring a four year old Tajima with them — with Ren ensuring him that no one in their right mind would attack the 'Duel Wielder'.

However they are attack; Kumo-nin ambush the party of three and when Tajima (who had been a fair distant from the battle for his safety) lets out a scream it is all the enemy needs to catch the tired Ren by surprise. For all the years Sachihiro had been sitting around allowing his skills to rust, he would regret it now — as Ren loses his life attempting to save Tajima who is kidnapped. Sachihiro has no time to mourn his husband's death and chases after them (this taking hours due to some Kumo-nin's skill in the body-flicker technique, something Sachihiro is dangerously bad at). But he is too late, Tajima was tortured for information and eventually killed — Sachihiro butchers the Kumo-nin and awakens his Mangekyō Sharingan. Due to the sensitivity of Konoha's current (but not for long) alliance with Kumogakure Hiruzen is unable to act revenge upon Tajima and Ren's murderers, especially since the Kumo-nin who attacked them were mere rogues on a quest for revenge and therefore had nothing to do with Kumogakure itself.

Sachihiro develops a burning hatred for Hiruzen and, fuelled by his grief, cut all ties with Konohagakure and assumed the title of a missing-nin. He roams the Five Nations endlessly until he eventually comes into contact with Akiyama Rieka (now a member of the Akatsuki) again and explains his reasoning for leaving and all that took place after she defected. She offers a chance for him to see his family again and he accepts — joining the Akatsuki as Zetsu's partner, only ever actually spending time with Rieka outside of missions.

Sachihiro tends to accompany Rieka on her solo missions as she is the partner of Uchiha Obito (up until his reveal of Tobi in which he partners with Deidara) — and after assisting Rieka in her mission to track down Orochimaru (who had betrayed the Akatsuki) he stayed behind to deal with the Snake-Sannin's shinobi. Exhausted, Sachihiro loses conscious and is captured by Konoha Hunter-Nin who had been watching and waiting for the perfect moment. Sachihiro is interrogated and later tortured for information about the Akatsuki and Rieka but ultimately reveals nothing — Rieka rescues him before he is executed and he is temporarily inactive for a few months. Sachihiro soon accompanies Rieka on missions; Pein's raid on Konoha, their attack on the Kage Summit (in which he runs into Ao and gets his revenge), and others.

When the Fourth Great Shinobi World War is announced Sachihiro assists Obito for the first few days (with Rieka assisting Madara). When the final day begins they reunite and remain beside one another on the battlefield. Sachihiro is confronted by his younger brother, Neji, who demands to know the reasoning behind his betrayal. The two fight but Sachihiro is ultimately defeated by Senju Tobirama.

Uzumaki Sachihiro dies, age 36, in the arms of his little brother Hyuuga Neji.
