Waking up with a screech of terror, Tiberius banged his head on an unseen overhanging branch. He may have been fully awake right now but he couldn't see a thing with his hood. It was impossible to see a thing with it on. Sighing heavily as he rubbed the sore spot on his head, the old red tailed hawk could hear the sound of footsteps outside approaching the shed. And he knew these footsteps.

"Good morning sweet boy," Alfred's kind voice spoke clearly, music to Tiberius's ears as the old hawk blindly pulled himself up onto a branch. A moment later, the hood was gently tugged off his head, allowing him to see his beloved owner. Ever so happy to see him, he let out a series of small and delighted squeaks. Smiling, the old man fed his hawk some pieces of chicken, turkey and venison, the hawk's personal favorite. Then he stroked the soft feathers on Tiberius's head with a kind and gentle hand as he whispered softly, "You be good today, okay sweet boy? Don't cause any trouble. I'm still wondering how, after all these years, you finally got off that chain."

"You'd be very surprised if I was able to tell ya," Tiberius murmured quietly while purring loudly. He leaned his head into Alfred's hand, loving every bit of the petting session he was having. It didn't last long though because Alfred eventually had to leave for the day. Giving the red tailed hawk one last pat on the head for the morning, the old man reluctantly put the cursed hood back on Tiberius before leaving. Hearing his owner walk away, the hawk sighed heavily as he found himself still hungry and alone once more.

That is until he heard some footsteps, completely different from that of his owner's, approaching the shed...
