Caught in the hawk's deadly talons, Norman could barely move as he looked up at Tiberius with round eyes. He didn't understand what was going on. He had just saved the red tail from choking to death and he hadn't gotten a word of thanks. Part of him wondered if this was how the hawk thanked someone. If it was, it was a strange custom. The young guinea pig stayed very still as he wondered what would happen next.

Staring at the little rodent he held in his grasp, Tiberius was having an internal conflict on whether he should eat Norman or not. He was surprised that he hadn't done so already. Sure, the guinea pig had saved his life. But he had also stepped on his tail and broke into his shed, which was pretty rude. Closing his eyes, the old hawk growled at himself.

Idiot! He saved your life! Spare his! a soft voice called out to Tiberius in a scolding tone. The hawk's light brown eyes snapped open when he recognized the voice. Shaking his head before it could fill up with bad memories, he looked down at the young guinea pig he was holding in his talons. Norman looked back at him, questions swimming in his eyes. Huffing, the old red tailed hawk let go.

Landing on the bone covered floor with a soft thud, Norman gazed up at Tiberius. The old hawk had turned his back to him as he went towards the back of the shed. Shaking himself, the young guinea pig was about to leave when lightning flashed outside. Thunder soon followed a second later. Frightened, Norman ran over to Tiberius and held onto his leg. Glaring at him, the hawk snapped, "Get out!"

"But... it's raining outside and I'm lost!" Norman squeaked, his voice quivering with fear. He gazed up at Tiberius with the infamous puppy dog eyes. The trick didn't work as the hawk shoved the guinea pig off. Curling up into a tight ball, he gave Norman his back as he closed his eyes and tried to get some sleep. Not wanting to head out in the pouring rain, the guinea pig went to a different corner and curled up. Shivering, he fell asleep.
