Here we have a sweet couple Edin and Kathy and they have a pretty 5-year old daughter Lily and a 9 year old Nick.

They had a perfect family until Kathy decided to adopt a son.
Edin had always wanted another child because he wanted a complete family of five but unfortunately Kathy couldn't carry a child again due to some medical complications.
She always felt guilty for not being able to complete their family.
That's why she had decided to adopt another son and shower him with all of the love.

She shared her thoughts with Edin and he was more than happy , he had always had this thought but never expressed it because he thought it might hurt her.
But hearing this from her made him happiest person in universe.
That day, he hugged her , kissed her and showered his love on her.
He just wanted to.

For few weeks , Kathy went to the St. Maria Benchwood Orphanage to observe the kids over there , watching them play, giggle and run across the rooms happily.
This soothed her mind.
She just wished she would have come sooner, but the present was also not a loss.

She met sister Abigail there, who took her to different divisions of the orphanage to show the children.

She saw every child and she just couldn't help but smile at their innocent shy smiles.

On the adoption day

That day, Kathy and Edin went to the orphanage together.

She showed the kids play area to Edin where all the kids were playing , running , giggling and just enjoying the day.

But Edin's attention stuck to one boy who was curiously rummaging through a book.
Edin went to him glancing at the book as it looked very familiar.
Just as he was behind him, the boy turned around and greeted him, he got surprised by his sudden reflex but what impressed him more was his choice of book.
It was The Shining.

Edin loved reading horror -thriller novels.
But one thing that kept on interrupting his mind was How a 16 year old was able to read such horror-thriller novel.

Just as he was talking to the boy , sister Abigail also approached there with Kathy.
Sister Aranda told him that the boy's name was Aiden.
Kathy also saw how lovingly Edin was talking to Aiden and she liked the thought of adopting Aiden.
Both of them bid byes to Aiden and went with sister Abigail in her office.

Sister Abigail appreciated their efforts in talking with Aiden and becoming so comfortable in a few minutes. She encouraged their thought of adopting Aiden. She told them that he had always been special; he is more mature than his age , he is a very understanding and considerate child. He can sometimes be ignorant and stubborn but it's normal for a child's behaviour.

Edin whole-heartedly expressed his growing love towards Aiden and confirmed that they were going to adopt him the next week.

Sister Abigail told them that by then, she would arrange the necessary paperwork and fill the legal formalities.
