After Ace having a mental break down  Ace slowly walked towards Whitebeards office. Ann looked at this and stopped in her actions. Ann then looked at Marco smirking and putting a thumbs up towards her. She only nodded while continuing to pour wine into the cups of people that stood around her. Ace then looked back to see what his crew was doing. They looked happy. Being in a big family and they were very happy.

Ace then knocked on the door of Whitebeard and he was granted with a deep voice.
"Come in," it said.
Ace then walked in and closed the door behind him.
"Gurarara, are going to attack me now?" Whitebeard asked.
Ace only shooked his head. His head was rather hung low.
'She was correct, again,' Whitebeard thought.
"I want to join the crew. My crew seem to enjoy it so why not me too," Ace said.

Whitebeard then took a sip and looked at the boy.
"Sit then. You seem to have more to talk about," Whitebeard said.
Ace hesitated before sitting down.
"Would you let a son of Gold Roger on your ship?" Ace asked.

A smirk only appeared on Whitebeard's lips. He then let out a laugh. Ace was rather surprised by the reaction. Gold Roger was one of the biggest rivals in the pirate history but he's laughing about it.
"I see, you're the son of Roger. I know you had some relationship with him." he laughed.
"You knew!" Ace said as he stood up.
"That point from when you called Ka-san, Ann. It's a name that Gold Roger's sister came up with."

Ace's eyes only widened. Whitebeard continued to explain to him and Gold Roger. About him using to talk about his wife. About his sister fell in love with a marine. This was all too much for Ace to handle. The past that he didn't know was just thrown in his face. After a while of rambling on about Gold Roger, Whitebeard faced Ace.
"Everyone is the son of the ocean. Welcome aboard, son." Whitebeard said as he stood up.
Tears were now streaming out of Ace's eyes. But he nodded and wiped them off.
"Thanks, Oyaji." Ace said before walking out.
Whitebeard followed and walked out to the deck. He then stood and everything went quiet.

"We got a new family member! Welcome the new sons!" he shouted.
The whole crew roared. Every single one of them started to laugh and talk again. A good jolly party it was. Ace only blinked. Then a smile appeared on his face. But it faded when he noticed a few things. It was confusing him. A frown appeared on his face when he couldn't find Ann. He then slowly walked towards the head of the Moby Dick and saw Ann gazing at the stars.

She then looked at the ring she was holding and back to the stars. The moon was shining bright enough to look at her facial expression. Tears were streaming down from her eyes. It was as if she was missing something in her life. Ace's heart clenched but walked normally towards her.
"Ka-san, I-" Ann cut him off.
"I know, I knew you would," Ann replied.
Her voice was cracked a bit. Ann tried to hide his face from Ace but Ann grabbed it before she could do so. Ace cupped Ann's cheek and then looked towards her straight in the eye.

"Why are you crying, Ka-san," Ace asked as he used his thumb to wipe the tears off.
"Just call me Ann. I like it," Ann said before resting her face in his hands.
Ace's heart thumped louder. His face was clearly pink at the moment.
"Ann, can I confess to you? Or should I not." Ace asked.
This time Ace let go of Ann's face and looked away. Ann knew this was going to happen. But didn't know how to reply. Ace was too young compared to Ann. He's about the age of 20 while Ann was like 40. Though her looks tell something else.

Ann cupped Ace's face and pulled his face so their forehead was connected.
"I would love to, you make me happy. I like you to stay by your side," Ann said directly in his eyes.
The hazel eyes looking back at hazel ones. Ace's heart was thumping like mad.
"But, I can't." Ann continued.
Ace's heart continued to thump but his heart now had a crack.
"I'm the age of estimating about 40. Your about 20. Don't get me wrong though." Ann explained.
Ann saw Ace's face sadden a bit so she knew she had to change her words.
"I love you, but as long as I have a mystery unsolved I can't. From what I remember I might be your mother." Ann said, "Or someone related."

Ace was shocked. Ann somehow had a connection with his mother. Because clearly, Rouge is his mother. Ace finally understood.
"Also I might be taken. This ring I have," Ann said as he showed the silver ring.
It was in a shape of a dragon and a vine tangling up together. It was a great ring, to tell the truth. When Ace looked at it was written "GDH MDD". Ace tried to fit all the names he knew but nothing seemed to fit.

"I'm sorry. Do you understand my situation? I don't want to make this awkward and-" Ace cut her off.

Ace kissed one side of her cheek and then looked at her in the eye.
"You worry to much, Ann Ka-san," Ace smiled.
Ann then hugged Ace tightly around the neck. Ann was a bit shorter but still was able to reach when she was on her tiptoes. Tears were streaming down her eyes. Ace didn't hesitate to hug back. Behind the scene, Thatch and Marco were looking at this.

"Marco, did you know about the ring?" Thatch asked.
"Yes-yoi." was his reply.
"How much do you know?"
Marco never replied. Thatch then sighed.
"Ship isn't going to sail." Thatch whispered.
"Of course-yoi. I might know the person-yoi." Marco said before walking by.
Thatch was confused but then scratched his canon shaped head.
"This is too much infomation for me or anyone to handle." Thatch groaned.
