Blaise stopped at the doors, turning around; "Which door is it?" He asked the snake humanoid, who was scanning the rows of doors. Desmos pointed to a red door, the blue mist giving it strange spots of purple and violet.

"I'll be coming to get you in three days, at this time." Desmos allowed himself a small grin. "Don't be late, and bring the body." He turned and walked away, silver scales merging with cerulean mist.

Ivy and Blaise glanced at each other, gazes hardening as their eyes met. Their eyes locked for a split second, and Blaise subconsciously noted their mossy color. Blaise clenched his jaw and looked away, scolding himself.

Don't get too close..

"Let's go." Blaise motioned toward the exit, stalking towards it. Ivy followed, her glare boring into the back of his head.

Blaise and Ivy stepped out into the emerald light that filtered through the jade canopy that blanketed the sky like a torn quilt, only allowing the rare beam of light to filter through them.

Blaise hadn't been anywhere but Desmos' stronghold and the Haven in two years, He had nearly forgotten what it felt like, to breathe fresh earthen air, to feel the dew of the tall grasses and to see nature.

If only Skye could see this.

Blaise ignored the thought. Blaise turned to Ivy for a moment, curious to see her reaction. She flashed him a smirk, it seemed normal to her.

What am I doing?

Blaise frowned. "How the hell are we supposed to find him?"

Ivy frowned in response, "I'm going to track them, duh."

Helpful. Blaise was seriously starting to hate this girl.

"Follow me." Ivy motioned with her hand before heading off deeper into the forest.

-----

Ivy stood in a small cabin, Blaise next to her, his gaze sweeping the room. "Is this where we're torturing him?"

Ivy rolled her eyes before grabbing his hand and tugging him toward the middle of the room. She lifted a corner of the rug that lay atop the floor, revealing a small lid. "Lift it up." She commanded.

Blaise muttered something incoherent but did as he was ordered.

Ivy crawled in, Blaise following her. Under the cabin was a large area, it had blinding white lights, several smaller rooms adjacent to this main one. The entrance to the room was almost invisible, save for a small crack in the ceiling. The ceiling was low and a small platform with a strapped bed was under it, for torment purposes and to climb back up. The chair had metal cuffs, for holding the victim in.

"Interesting." Blaise murmured.

He simultaneously savored and despised the odd mix of excitement and disgust he felt.
