"I need to know about Hayden." he said, rubbing his temples.

"We will if you listen to me." Isla send calmly.

"But I'm the alpha, aren't I?" Cameron asked, questioningly.

"Not until you are given the ring. Until then, just listen to me." she said as she took her seat on the wooden, black chair, her long, black nails making music with the table.

"Will she show up?" Cameron asked.

"We made a deal, didn't we?" a woman said, seating herself in front of Isla, with Cameron to her side.

"It's a good thing you didn't keep me waiting." Cameron said.

"I am not here to talk to you." she said, turning her focus towards Isla "What did you want to talk about?".

"You seem to know what happened to Hayden." Isla said.

"I might. How does that bother you?" she questioned.

"She is part of my pack and our previous alpha had sensed her death." Isla said.

"The pack is mine." Cameron shot back, receiving a cold glare from Isla's direction.

"How much is in it for me?" she asked, making eye-contact with Isla.

"What do you mean?" Cameron asked, puzzled.

"I mean, for the right price, I am willing to give you the information you need." she finished.

Cameron opened his mouth to argue but was quickly dismissed by the flick of the woman's finger.

"What if there's no money involved?" Isla asked.

"Neither of you know my name, and I can easily change my number or throw my phone away, leaving you no means to contact me." she said

"How much are you expecting?" Isla asked with a sigh.

"You aren't getting anything from me!" Cameron exclaimed, slamming the table with his fists.

"The deal's off then." she said as she stood up, making her way out of the café they had met.

"How did you revive Hayden?" Cameron asked with gritted teeth.

"Who told you that I did anything?" she asked calmly. She felt something grab her hand, gripping on it with force.

"Get your filthy hands off of mine." she replied, trying to bottle up the anger rising inside of her.

"Just give us the information, Valerie." Isla said, with a smug expression plastered on her face.

"If you think you are the master of manipulation, you are wrong." Valerie spat out, shaking her hand away from Cameron's. With a snap of her fingers, she sent dread down their spines as they felt their trachea close in on itself, causing them to choke on the air missing from their body.

"I'll give you the money!" Cameron exclaimed with fear in his eyes.

"Too late." Valerie said, throwing them against the brick wall, releasing their windpipes from her control "The deal's off."

She took Hayden's phone from the round table and walked away, leaving the wolves in their tired and needy state. As her footsteps quieted down the further she walked away from them, Isla jerked her face to her side to look at Cameron.

"You just had to, didn't you?" she asked with a dry throat, coughing to clear up the air stuck in her trachea.

"What did I do?" he asked with a scoff.

"We were the ones who needed something from her. You could have shown some respect." Isla said, at a loss of information.

"I'm not willing to give her money." Cameron stated.

"Just because you're the alpha's son, doesn't mean being the leader is hereditary. You have to prove yourself." Isla said.

"There isn't anyone to challenge me." Cameron replied

"No one from the pack will." Isla said, moving towards him, "But someone else might."

"If you are suggesting Hayden, I have the whole pack willing to protect me." Cameron said.

"Whatever you say," Isla replied, gripping on the legs of the wooden chair beside her to aid her up. With slow and heavy footsteps, she walked towards the gate, eyeing Cameron from time to time who struggled to get up.

"Everyone is always out to get what's mine." Cameron murmured quietly, his eyes filled with rage at the thought of Valerie.

No one disrespects me and gets away with it.

Hayden moved her hand from her shoulder, her jaw dropping at what she laid her eyes on.

The blood, it's gone.

She rubbed her eyes with her fingertips, making sure that she wasn't hallucinating. It didn't take long to realize that it was the concoction that caused the unnaturally quick healing.

Her joy completely took over her actions before she stopped dead on her tracks as she remembered the sins she had committed.

I killed my own father, she thought, tears welling up in her already red and swollen eyes. Her heart skipped a beat as she hiccupped, fear running down her spine.

No one's ever going to follow someone who killed her own father, she thought as she buried her head into her knees, a myriad of tears running down her cheek. She rubbed her eyes vigorously with her fingers and wiped her tears away.

You can make them follow you, a voice instead of her spoke. The same voice she had heard before that sounded exactly like her, except it wasn't.

The voice that she heard was something that couldn't be disobeyed. The six words she had spoken were simple, something every child was familiar with. Anyone could have said that and not left a significant mark. But the way it was spoken was the only thing that mattered. The voice gave off a sense of authority, a sense of power.

Thoughts swirled around her head and much to her surprise, they didn't revolve around her father. It revolved around her, around the change she would make in the world. The voice guided her to make the choice it wanted her to make. To realize all the possibilities that were inches away and all she had to do was admit it.

I'm the only god that exists.
