As the chamber descends, the trio begun preparations in case if there's monsters lurking in the lowest part of the ship. Payton is examining each potion from the shelves, while Bower was testing out the black goo blaster. With a single pull to the trigger, it shoots out a small solid black sphere no bigger than a golf ball. Then the black sphere landed on the wall, and slowly grows bigger until it's as big as a person's head.

"That looked cool" said Bower, with a smirk.

"This blaster is good for making enemies immobile, in which it's also been used to stop any fights" explained Nadia.

"So, anything you have for me and my friend to wear on our feet?" He asked.

"I'm sorry, I don't have any boots here. Unless if you want me to make some foot wraps" she apologized.

"No thanks, I guess the two of us has to manage walking barefoot until we find some boots to wear" he said.

After ten minutes, the chamber stopped at the bottom of the genetic storage unit. Nadia offered the two men some grasshoppers to eat, in which they felt uneasy about this. She opened a small door at the top of the glass dome of the habitat, and grabbed three grasshoppers. Then she brought three bottles of water, in case if the two men didn't like the taste. All three of them eat the grasshoppers, Bower tried not to throw up and drank some water to wash away the bad taste, while Payton swallowed his grasshopper instead of chewing on it and drank the water.

"Well, shall we get going?" Asked Nadia.

"Yeah, and we still need to re activate the ships power reactor" said Bower.

She walked over to the door, and opened it. It was dark at the bottom, but at least there's some lights that allow the trio to see. The trio walked down the ramp, and the air itself felt cool compared to up above. Nadia guided the two men to where the cryopod storage unit no. 3, in which it's at a hallway behind the chamber. Once they arrived, it's a big chamber with cryopods numbering over twenty that are arranged in a circle. Bower untied the sleeves of his jacket that wrapped around his waist, before putting his jacket on and zipped it up since the air felt cold.

"This is the cryopod storage unit no. 3? It's bigger than that chamber where me and Bower woke up" questioned Payton.

"Yes, it's basically one of the few places that aren't infested with monsters" Nadia replied.

"Except for some slimes here" Bower pointed out.

She looked, and she saw plenty of slimes that crawled on the floor and on top of the pods.

"Well, at least they're not causing any problems. They're good for when someone wakes up and kills to gain exp" she explained.

The cryopods in the storage unit have a slightly different design, they all have sunk into the floor, there's no names on the windows, large tubes attached, and moss have grown on the tops.

Bower walked down the steps, and headed over to one cryopod. He put his foot on the top window, because he thought it would be funny. When he put his foot down, there's a footprint on the window.

"Bower! Why did you do that?" Payton scolded.

"Because I'm bored, I thought it would be funny" he replied.

Nadia couldn't help but chuckle, because it's been a while since the last time she had a laugh.

Suddenly, a humanoid monster crawled out from the air shaft. It resembled the cannibal mage, but muscular and armed with a crude sword.

The trio saw that creature, and screens appeared before them.

"Monster name: cannibal brute.

Monster type: mutant.

Level: six.

Description: the main muscle of the cannibals, it's not very bright compared to the cannibal mage. Exercise extreme caution as it's strength can go through armor, and it's physical attacks can take out a well prepared player" the screens read.

Once the cannibal brute sees the trio, it let out a roar as it rushed towards them. They all dodged it's attack, before getting ready to fight. Payton punched it in the face, dealing minimal damage. However, the cannibal brute smacks him away, sending him flying against the wall. Nadia took out her makeshift knife and ran around the creature to do a back stab, as while Bower shoots it with his pistol to provide distraction. She leapt on the cannibal brutes back, and stabs it in the spine. Then the cannibal brute let's out a pained yell as it fell to the floor, but not before it pressed a button.

Nadia tried to help Payton to get up, but he was injured and unconscious after the creature smacked him away with brute force. Then Bower sees quite a few humanoids arriving at the cryopod storage unit before turning around and saw one cryopod, where he put his foot on, started to glow.

"Shit! Shit! That brute has pressed a button, and someone inside is going to wake up to find that there's more monsters going to eat them!" Bower yelled.

"What!?" Exclaimed Nadia, as she rushed over to Bower.

Both stared at the small humanoids, seeing that there's more than seventeen coming down the steps.

Then two screens appeared in front of them. It reads:

"Quest: defend the passenger from oncoming monsters.

Passengers health: 100%

Reward: 167 exp, scroll of healing, bracers of durability".

"We won't fail this quest!" Said Bower.

After ten minutes of fighting those small humanoids, the glowing cryopod rises from the metal floor. Inside of it is a young man with red hair, pink skin, and four electrodes glued to his chest. He wore only underwear, oxygen mask, and a harness. His eyes shot open, revealing to be blue, as he gasps for air. Then the cryopod slides open, leaving him wide open to the fight. He then peeled his oxygen mask off, revealing that he has a chin strap beard and a neck beard, and saw two figures fighting against some monsters.

"Shit! He's awake!" Yelled Bower.

"There's nothing we can do, there's too many!" Said Nadia.

"What's... going on...?" Asked the red haired man, in a weak voice.

The red haired man saw three humanoid creatures closing in on him, and he screamed in fear. He desperately kicked them away, trying to get them away from him. Luckily, Bower killed them with his pistol.

Authors note: the fight scene is loosely based on the scene where a man wakes up from hypersleep only to be mauled by cannibals.
