so there's this song i was listening to the other day.

it's called 60 seconds, by one of my favorite artists, kim sunggyu.

the song itself is about how it only takes sixty seconds—

sixty seconds for someone to enter your heart;

sixty seconds for someone to leave your heart.

and i want j to leave my heart because he's just confusing me...

but at the same time I don't want him to.

"Good morning," Mae said, her eye bags evident as she walked into her Biology classroom.

"What, you didn't sleep?" Lucy asked.

"Hey! I slept! I just don't feel that well. And I'm going to stay awake, unlike Minhee, who falls asleep in class and is very very very close to getting a detention one of these days!"

"Hey!" Minhee protested.

"It is true, Minhee," Jasper said, a laugh escaping his lips.

"Yeah. The other day, she just took her lunchbox and fell asleep."

"No! I was awake! My eyes were closed but my ears were open!"

"Don't lie, Minhee, you were asleep," Jasper said. Mae let out a sigh as she put her head in her hands. And Jasper, who seemed that he usually cared, didn't say a thing.

"Mae, do you want to go the nurse?" Brooklyn asked, seeing Mae's pallid face.

"Nah, I'm good," Mae replied, the sadness evident in her voice. All I want is for him to notice me, she thought, not realizing that Jasper had a look of genuine concern on his face.

"I hope you're not sick, Mae. It would be a shame if you weren't here," he whispered softly, but loud enough for Mae to hear, bringing a smile to her face.

"Here, Mae, have a cough drop," a boy sitting behind her said, handing her a cough drop. A frown settled on Jasper's face.

"Thanks, Alex."

"Anything for you, Mae." And despite being sick, she let out a bright smile that rivaled the one she gave to Jasper.

also decided that i'll just think about whether they're diary entries or not

  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
