At the age of nine, Fleur Howards had already been in four countries, travelling around. Although not for a good reason, being used for her body at such a young age... Being trained to kill, all by a secret organisation.

"Hey, kid." A man walked in, Terry, the one who'd been keeping her,"Got a job for you."

Fleur got up slowly, "What type?"

"One that requires these and not clothes." Terry held up a pair of handcuffs.

"Can... Can I wear my clothes until we get to the location?"

"Sure, but don't expect to receive any luxury when you arrive."

Fleur nodded and pulled her jumper over her dress.

"Quickly, we'll need to move. Don't need anyone seeing you."

"I got it." Fleur sighed and got up, walking out.

Terry walked out with her, leading her out of the room... Until there was a loud knocking on the door.

"FBI, open the door!"

Fleur's eyes widened as she heard them shout, going to run for the door.

"Don't even think about it!" Terry grabbed her arm and pulled her in, a knife held at her throat.

The door was then kicked in, guns pointed at Terry.

"Terry Allen, we have you under arrest. Come now and let the girl go."

"I'm not letting her go." Terry shook his head.

"We already have the other men in custody, there's no way out of this." The agent shook his head,"The other victims have been taken. You have nothing."

"I'm not going down without a fight." Terry pressed the knife against her neck.

Fleur winced as a small trickle of blood came down her neck. And that was all the FBI needed, they shot him. Fleur quickly ran to the corner of the room.

"Don't worry, you're safe now." A female agent held her close.

"I- Oh my god." Fleur covered her mouth.

"He can't hurt you anymore."

"None of them?" Fleur shook her head.

"None of them, nobody."

Fleur nodded slowly,"I need- Are my parents okay?"

"We'll have to take you back to the station, then we can check."

"Okay." Fleur nodded again, looking away from the body.

Once at the station, the FBI had Fleur in a room herself with an interrogator. To get her story.

"Can you tell us what happened?" The female agent asked her.

"From when?" Fleur sat back.

"Well, what can you remember? Tell me anything you can."

"I... I was nine when I was kidnapped, walking home from school. I'm from France." Fleur shook her head,"Then... Terry makes you do things... With other guys, occasionally there would be some girls."

"There have some reports from the other girls that Terry would... Force you to hurt people. Is this true, Fleur?"

Fleur looked at her, nodding slowly,"You go on little missions with him when you're young, watching him kill... Do everything. You go on your first mission when you turn sixteen. It's your present. He was training us but I- You guys saved us, you saved me."

"You won't be forced to do anything like that again, that's a promise." The agent assured her.

"Have you found my parents yet?"

"We... Have found them. They'll be here to speak with us soon."

"Good. I miss them." She hugged her arms.

The agent smiled at her before she walked out of the room.

Fleur got up and looked out the window, she was free. All she wanted was to be at home with her parents.

A few minutes had past before another agent walked in, a man.

"Fleur, you'll be... Moved into foster care tomorrow." He told her.

"What?" Fleur turned,"But- The lady said they'd be here, we were meant to be going home... What's changed?"

"Your parents. They aren't very nice people." The agent sighed,"They're the people that... Sold you to Terry."

Fleur blinked,"They... They sold me. To Terry?"

"They're going to jail for what they did." The agent nodded.

"But they love me." Fleur shook her head.

"I'm sorry, kid."

"I don't want to go."

"There's nothing more I can do, I'm sorry." He sighed,"You'll be safer there."

Fleur nodded slowly and sat back in her seat.

"If it's any consolation they did say how glad they were that you were alive and well."

"Alive and well?" Fleur scoffed.

"I didn't think it would mean much coming from them, not after what's happened."

Fleur shook her head,"I want to be left alone."

"Of course." He nodded, swiftly leaving the room.

The FBI saved Fleur. That's what she wanted to do when she grows up, help children like her.

Elijah Deans had always wanted to impress his father, they were always close. They'd go on little trips together sometimes, he thought this time would be no different... He didn't know how wrong he was.

"Got your stuff packed?" His dad walked downstairs.

"Dad, where are we going?" Elijah asked him as they walked outside.

"Just on a business trip." He nodded,"While your mother is gone."

"What kind of business?"

"My business."

"But what is that?" Elijah tilted his head, pulling on his backpack.

"You'll just need to wait and see."

"Okay then." Elijah smiled, he liked surprises.

"Put your shit in the truck, come on." His dad clapped.

"I'm going, I'm going." Elijah hurried, getting into the truck with his bag.

"Hurry up." He got in the truck.

"I'm hurrying." Elijah put his seatbelt on, why was his dad in such a rush?

His dad quickly drove off, driving away from the house. As they drove, the scenery became unfamiliar to Elijah. He couldn't see much anyway, it was all a blur because of how fast they were going.

His dad drove until they had gotten to a cabin, walking into it once he was parked. Elijah squinted as he looked around, it was quite dark but he thought he could make out the silhouettes of furniture.

"Go down the hall. Behind the painting is a gun, I need you to grab it."

"Of course." Elijah nodded slowly, doing as instructed... He was certainly confused now.

Once Elijah had gotten to gun, he walked back to his dad who went into a room.

"Dad? Why do you need a gun?" Elijah asked.

"You trust me right?" Elijah's dad stood in the doorway.

"Of course I do." Elijah nodded quickly.

Elijah's dad then moved out of the way, showing a girl tied to a chair.

"Dad, who is that?" Elijah asked quickly.

"I need you... To shoot her." His dad nudged Elijah forward.

"W-what- No! I can't!" Elijah shook his head.

"You want to be a man? Shoot her."

"No- Dad- I don't wanna hurt her."

"She's hurt me and your mother. You're going to let her get away with it?" His dad scoffed, walking up to the girl and gripping her hair,"She's evil!"

"No... No, I don't.." Elijah's hands were shaking as he raised the gun,"Please.."

"Please don't- I won't say anything." The girl pleaded.

"Do it Elijah."

Elijah closed his eyes tightly and... He pulled the trigger and... The screaming stopped.

"That's my boy." His dad put his hand on Elijah's shoulder,"You did good."

Elijah dropped the gun at his feet, his hands still shaking... He'd just killed a woman.

"Man up." He nudged him forcefully.

"Sorry- I'm sorry." Elijah shook his head.

*********************************

Finally they had made it home. Elijah was in the living room while his parents argued in their room. The arguing came to an abrupt stop as a loud banging came from outside.

"FBI, open up!"

When there was no reply, the door was busted down and police filled the room.

"Kid, come here. Where's your dad?"

"He- He was in there- The kitchen." Elijah pointed as he walked over to them.

"Okay- Come here." One of them took him out the room,"You're safe, okay? You're not in trouble."

"But... I did a bad thing. He made me."

"You're not in trouble kid, you didn't know any better."

"I hurt the lady in the cabin." Elijah shook his head.

"He forced you to." The agent bent down to his height,"Right?"

"He told me to, said she hurt him and mother.."

"He lied to you Elijah. You gotta come with us to the station, is that okay?'

"Okay." Elijah nodded slowly.

"Okay, come on." The agent put his coat around Elijah.

*********************************

Elijah was sat in the interrogation room, he wouldn't make eye contact with anyone in the room.

"Can you take us through what happened Elijah?" A female agent asked.

"I thought we were just going on a trip, like we usually do when mother isn't home. He was rushing, drove really fast to the cabin." Elijah told her,"It was dark, I... He told me to get the gun from behind the painting and then- Then she was there, in the chair."

"And you didn't want to shoot her, right?"

"No, no, no... I told him now but he was shouting and she was screaming and then... Then it was quiet."

"On these trips, does your father disappear for hours at a time?"

"I tried waiting up for him a few times but mother got upset with me." Elijah sighed,"He went away for a long time."

"What happened is not your fault, your father is going away for a long time." The agent nodded.

"I'm sorry.."

"It's not your fault." He assured him.

"I hurt her.."

"He forced you, you didn't know any better, you listened because he's your father."

"But I listened, I can't stop thinking about it.."

"There's plenty of help advisors we can get for you. You won't go through this alone."

"Is my mother out there?" Elijah asked.

"Yes, I believe so."

"Can I see her?"

"Let me see what I can do." The agent left the room, his mother coming in after a few minutes.

"Mother." Elijah smiled slightly.

His mother sat down slowly across from Elijah.

"Mother, are you upset with me?" Elijah asked quietly, his smile dropping.

"What do you think, Elijah? Your father is in jail!"

"Dad hurt people, they said he was a bad man."

"He did these things to protect us." Stacy pointed.

"He killed people." Elijah shook his head.

"And you killed one too but you're not going to jail, are you?"

"It wasn't my fault, he made me."

"You pulled the trigger." She spat.

Elijah went quiet, shaking his head,"I didn't want to.."

"But you did, didn't you?" Stacy pointed.

"He was shouting at me, I couldn't- I had to."

"He was shouting at me, I couldn't- I had to."

"You're a disappointment, Elijah."

Elijah looked down at his hands. Everything she said... She was right. He was a bad person, a bad son.

"Now I'm gonna have to work my ass off to help us survive."

"I'm sorry.."

"Yeah, you should be. Don't think I'm doing this alone." She threatened.

Elijah didn't want to be a bad person like his father... And be didn't want to be like his mother, he... He wanted to be an FBI agent. He wanted to save people, be a good person.
