"You got him?" Elijah asked as he walked over, gun in hand.

"I got him Deans." Gideon assured him, passing the Unsub off to Morgan and Hotch.

"Another success." He hummed.

"Always a success." Gideon shrugged.

"Of course, the team's great." Elijah nodded.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"I'm alright, you?"

"Relived." Gideon sighed,"Come on."

"Oh- Uh, Gideon. Could we.. Talk tomorrow? It's important." Elijah asked him.

"What about?" Gideon turned to him.

"It's just something personal and I want you to know."

"Oh, alright." Gideon nodded slowly.

"I'll see you there." Elijah smiled slightly.

Gideon was sat waiting in his office, doing a small crossword in the newspaper.

"Sir?" Elijah knocked on the door, opening it slightly.

"Elijah." Gideon sat back.

Elijah walked in, closing the door behind him, "Sorry if this is.. Out of nowhere, but I trust you."

"And I trust you." Gideon nodded.

Elijah clasped his hands together as he took a deep breath,"Gideon.. I'm gay."

Gideon was quiet before he nodded,"Gay.."

"Yeah.. I like guys."

"Any paticular guy?"

"Maybe." Elijah nodded slowly.

"Right.. Well- That's.. Good to know."

Elijah tried to smile but he was already regretting opening up,"I'll.. I'll be on my way then."

"I'll see you later, Deans." Gideon looked back towards his crossword.

"Yeah, see you then." Elijah nodded as he turned to leave.

"Keep this between us, hm?" Gideon nodded.

"Of course."

"Goodnight Deans."

"Goodnight, Gideon." Elijah walked out of the office.

Elijah was sat at his desk, spinning around on his chair.. He was really starting to regret telling Gideon now.

"What's wrong?" Fleur walked over to her desk, seeing Elijah.

"It's nothing." He shook his head.

"Elijah." Fleur crossed her arms.

"What? You don't believe me?" Elijah looked up at her.

"Yeah." She hummed.

"Why not?"

"Because I know you.. And something's bothering you."

"I just.. I told Gideon something and I don't think I should've." Elijah admitted.

"And what did you tell him?" Fleur pulled her seat towards him.

"..I'm gay."

Fleur looked at him,"Okay.."

"And he's not really been speaking to me or even really looking at me." Elijah tapped his pen against the desk,"Maybe I'm just being paranoid."

"Look, I've got two mothers, I could not care less if you were into men." She sighed as she gently took his hand,"Gideon.. He's old, he probably hasn't gotten with the times."

Elijah squeezed her hand,"I just thought it would be different this time."

"I'm sorry, Eli." Fleur sighed.

"Don't be, it's not your fault." He told her.

"But it's not yours either."

"I know."

"Don't worry about it, okay?" Fleur assured him.

"I won't." Elijah smiled.

"Look? Spending time with me has already cheered you up."

Elijah chuckled,"I suppose you're right."

"I'm simply the best." Fleur shrugged.

"I can't argue with that." Elijah shook his head.

"If we don't have a case, how bout we go somewhere?"

"Somewhere?"

"You can pick." Fleur nodded.

"Hm.. Well, there's a coffee shop nearby." Elijah hummed.

"Then that's where we'll go." Fleur stood up

"Alright then." Elijah grabbed his bag.

*********************************

"So, isn't this nice?" Fleur sat back as she drank her hot cocoa.

"It really is." Elijah smiled.

"So..Do you like anyone?" Fleur raised a brow.

"I'm not telling you." Elijah shook his head.

"So it's someone I know." Fleur gasped.

"I'm not saying anything."

"It is, isn't it?"

Elijah sighed,"Fine, it is."

Fleur smiled,"Who?"

"No." Elijah took a sip of his coffee,"Not telling."

"I'll tell you who I like." Fleur hummed.

"Who says I don't already know that?" Elijah raised a brow.

"Well..It's only fair to trade." Fleur shrugged.

Elijah sighed as he leaned forward,"Reid."

"I knew it." Fleur leaned back.

"Too obvious, huh?"

"Well, you don't make it obvious.. But I read you like an open book."

Elijah shook his head,"Your turn."

"Well.." Fleur sighed,"Derek."

"Aw, I love that." Elijah smiled.

"Secrets are out for the both of us." Fleur shrugged.

"At least we can keep these secrets together now." Elijah winked.

"Deal." Fleur hummed.

*********************************

Elijah was sorting through his case reports at his desk, again spinning on his chair.

"Deans." Gideon sighed as he walked over.

"Sir?" Elijah looked up at him

"Stop spinning in the chair, I can see you from my office."

"Right, sorry." Elijah nodded, stopping himself with his feet.

Meanwhile, Elle was at her desk spinning.. Gideon never said anything to her.

Elijah shook his head,"I've finished the case reports you asked for as well."

"Great, just keep them and I'll get them."

"Gideon? A word." Hotch asked.

"What is it, Hotch?" Gideon turned to him.

"Why have you been singling Elijah out recently? I've just been observing and noticed it a lot."

"Singling him out?"

"Elle is doing the exact same thing as Elijah was doing there, yet you only tell Elijah to stop."

"I just didn't notice." Gideon shrugged.

"No?"

"No."

Hotch crossed his arms,"Gideon, I'm only saying this because you're my boss and friend.. And I respect you."

"The feelings mutual." Gideon nodded,"Look, this has all just been a little misunderstanding."

"I hope so. Because Elijah is an amazing Agent and I wouldn't want him to miss out."

"He won't."

"Good." He nodded.

Gideon nodded to him, giving Elijah one last glance before be headed back towards his office.

"You alright?" Hotch walked over to Elijah.

"Of course." Elijah told him.

"You sure?"

"Yeah.. Yeah, I'm sure."

"Any problems, come over to me, okay?"

"I will." Elijah nodded.

Hotch patted his shoulder before walking off.

Elijah sighed, leaning back in his chair.

"Go Hotch." Fleur walked over to Elijah.

"He didn't have to." Elijah shook his head.

"But he did."

"Yeah.."

Fleur ruffled his hair,"Hotch is becoming a dad."

"Maybe I'll tell him next." Elijah looked up at her.

"That would be good "

"I want him to know but.. Well.." Elijah trailed off.

"Hotch is.. Different."

"Yeah.. I know."

"It'll be different for him." Fleur nodded.

"You're right." Elijah smiled,"You're always right."

"I know." Fleur hummed.

*********************************

Elijah stood outside of Hotch's office, his hand hovering over the door as he debated what he was going to do.

"I can see your shadow, Elijah." Hotch wrote in the files.

"No, you can't." Elijah pointed.

"Elijah." Hotch looked up.

Elijah sighed as he opened the door and walked inside. He didn't have much choice now.

"What's wrong?" Hotch asked.

"I.. Just wanted to talk, if that's okay."

"Quickly." Hotch nodded.

"So.. Well, I'm gay." Elijah admitted.

"Right.. What was it you wanted to talk about?"

Elijah blinked,"That was what I wanted to talk about."

"Oh, alright." Hotch looked up.

"You're alright with it?"

"Will it effect your work?"

"It shouldn't."

"Then I have no issue with it." Hotch shrugged.

Elijah sighed,"Thank god. Because I told Gideon a bit ago and he's been acting.. Different with me."

"Yes, I did notice that." Hotch nodded slowly.

"I was just scared you might stop liking me too." He bit his cheek.

"Elijah, as long as nothing distracts you from the job? I'm not bothered."

"That means a lot.. Coming from you." Elijah smiled.

"You're welcome. Now, I'll deal with Gideon, don't worry."

"You will?"

"I will." Hotch closed the file.

"Thank you, sir." Elijah nodded.

"Bring me those files later, okay?"

"I will."

"See you later, Eli."

"See you later, Hotch." Elijah hummed as he left.
