Dev waited on her couch for Harry to come by, legs draped over the arm. She debated about calling Matt or Brendan while she waited, but they would probably both freak out at the news of a boy.

"Who're you waiting for?" her dad asked. He was making some early lunch for himself. Dev was going to eat later.

"My friend," she said, looking at her phone.

She was half texting Michelle, who kept sending Dev memes of sad cats. Dev was trying to get away from Ned and Peter as they spammed the Millenium Falcon chat with a Star Wars trivia contest. She checked it as she noticed the number of texts dying down. Ned had won and was victoriously sending virtual balloons and confetti. She laughed to herself.

"Which friend?" her dad said, leaning on the counter.

"Harry Osborn," Dev murmured.

"An Osborn?" he raised an eyebrow. "Like the one who owns that big company?"

"Yeah he's his son. I know him from school. Why?"

"He's rich," said her dad. Dev shrugged.

"He's nice," she responded. He smiled.

"Ok, but I'm not ready to be a grandpa," he laughed. Dev groaned and attempted to curl up in a ball.

"Da!"

"What?"

Before she could reply, Dev was saved by the doorbell. She ran over and opened it to a grinned Harry Osborn in another fashionable outfit. This time, it was a black tee and ripped jeans with sunglasses. He offered her a small bouquet of flowers, and she took them, trying to hide her blush.

"Hey, Dev!" he said. "I got these on the way. Thought maybe you'd like them."

"Thanks, Harry," she said, a smile on her face."One sec." Dev grabbed her bag and stuffed her keys inside. She put the flowers on the couch, and her dad walked over. Dev groaned internally. Great...

"Hi Mr. Osborn," he said. Harry gave another smile. He didn't seem to be nervous.

"Hi Mr. Jackson! I've heard lots about you!" he said. Dev wanted to facepalm.

"All good things, I hope," her dad laughed.

"Ok we should go," Dev interrupted. Her dad laughed and waved at them as they walked out.

"Call me when you come back!" he said. She nodded and closed the door.

"Sorry about him," she said, pushing her hair back. Harry pushed up the sunglasses.

"No problem," he said. "I think he's cool. You guys have nice accents." Dev slapped his arm, and he laughed. "What?"

"I don't know, I just wanted to hit your arm," she shrugged. "So where are we going?"

"I found a coffee place nearby," he said, offering his arm. She pushed it away.

"Don't be cheesy, Harry," Dev grinned. Harry laughed again, and put his hands in his pocket.

"Alright, alright," he said. "Well, Devon Jackson, I cannot believe you said yes to this."

"Me too," she said.

"How rude," he said with a smile. "I think I would've won you even if this didn't work out."

"How 'bout we just see how this goes, alright, Osborn?" Dev rolled her eyes. He nodded.

"Sounds like a plan, Ms. Jackson."

"I regret this already..." He laughed.

"I don't!"

"Gryffindor is the best house!" declared Harry. Dev sighed and shook her head.

"It's a meh one. Slytherin is the best," Dev argued. Harry raised an eyebrow and took another sip of coffee. They were sitting on a park bench, drinking their iced drinks.

Dev liked the spring. It reminded her of past years with her brothers when they were young, playing around in fields and climbing the blooming trees. New York didn't have many trees, but Central Park did. She liked it. There were lots of families around since it was the weekend. They even saw a few other couples kissing in the more romantic areas (Dev denied Harry, to his slight disappointment).

Dev wouldn't tell him, but the date had been pretty nice. He took her to an aesthetic little coffee shop with golden framed windows and quality iced coffee. He also paid for her, so that was nice.

"I can't believe you're a Slytherin," Harry commented, leaning on the bench. "Actually, nevermind. You're a total Slytherin." Dev laughed.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well you are like, I don't know," he said, "edgy, I guess. And you'd be a good Slytherin. Ambitious, goth, cute." He winked at the last one, and she rolled her eyes once again.

"Very funny, Osborn," she said.

"I am very funny, thank you," he mock-bowed.

"You're self-centered if anything," Dev took a sip of her drink. Harry laughed and gazed at her with a twinkle in his eye. Dev turned away from him and looked at the leaves in the wind. Her pocket buzzed, bringing her out of her thoughts.

"Anyone important?" he said.

"Probably a text from my da, one sec," she said, pulling her phone out. She was surprised to see Peter's name pop up.

P: dev are u coming??

P: we're starting ep IV soon!

P: THIS IS NED AND WE R STARTING WITHOUT YOU

P: he took my phone sorryyyyy

P: but we are starting without you :// come soon!!!!!!

"Shit," Dev cursed under her breath. She had forgotten about the Star Wars marathon with Ned and Peter.

"What's wrong?" Harry asked, concerned.

"I forgot about this movie marathon Ned planned for today," Dev sighed. "He's gonna be crushed."

"You guys can reschedule, right?" he suggested.

"I don't think so," she frowned. "I'll text them and just arrive late, I guess." She typed quickly.

D: hey sorry guys i kinda forgot about it and im with someone right now

D: is it ok if i come late?

P: yeah sure! But leia just captured!!

N: PETER STOP TEXTING AND WATCH THE MOVIE

P: -_-

D: ill see u guys soon

N: WATCH THE MOVIE

P: omg

Dev smiled to herself and put her phone away.

"Peter and Ned, huh?" Harry asked. Dev nodded.

"They're such nerds," she said. Harry smiled.

"They're pretty cool."

"Sometimes," she shrugged. There was a pause.

"So I should probably get you home now?" he said.

"Sorry," she said. She felt a bit guilty as she saw his mood slightly deflate.

"No, it's no problem, Dev." He stood up and helped her up too. "Star Wars is very important," he smiled. She laughed.

"Yeah, but this was really nice too. Sorry to cut it short."

"We can continue it next weekend?"

"Harry Osborn..."

"Ok sorry sorry," he grinned. "I'll walk you back."

"Thanks," she said with a smile.

After a few minutes of walking and a short Metro ride, Harry and Dev reached her house again. Harry ran a hand through his hair as Dev fished her key out of her bag.

"Thanks again, Harry," she said. He nodded.

"No problem. And I wasn't kidding about next weekend," he winked.

"Fine fine," she said. "Maybe."

"Yay!" Harry cheered. It made Dev smile. She unlocked her front door and went inside.

"Well uh this is where I leave." She hadn't been on a date in awhile. I forgot how awkward this part is.

"I'm glad you had fun," he said, leaning towards her. Dev panicked a little.

"Yeah! Ok well, I hear my da callin' me. Bye!" She closed the door before anything could happen. She thought Harry was nice, but not nice enough for that.

"Hey Dev!" her da called. Dev tugged off her shoes and walked inside to her da's office. It was filled with law papers and a big desk.

"Hi, Da."

"So how was the date?" he asked, turning in his swivel chair. Dev became interested in a loose thread. "I'm not mad abut it or anything," he laughed.

"It wasn't a date," she mumbled.

"Sure, honey," he said with another laugh. "Anyways, a May Parker called earlier wanting to know where you were. Do you know her?" Dev nodded.

"I forgot to remind you, but Peter and Ned planned that Star Wars marathon for today," she said. He raised an eyebrow.

"Are you going to go?"

"Can I got for like one movie?" she said, biting her inner cheek.

"Did they start already?" he said. Dev nodded. "Do you really want to go then?"

"Yes. They're my friends, and I feel bad." He sighed.

"Alright. You can go. But no sleeping over!" he said. She nodded and ran upstairs to change.
