Imagine #83: Birthday!!

For the first time ever, Patrick will be celebrating his birthday far from his love ones because unfortunately he's still on his Soul Punk tour and chose not to have a break even if its his birthday. He said doing this concert tonight will be enough gift from him and maybe he'll just call his parents and friends afterward.

Luckily, you were still on his side, you feel that somehow Patrick is thankful that you, as his girlfriend, is still with him for this tour. Of course, you are happy too and you know you couldn't just let his birthday go without surprising him.

"I know that smile, Y/Last/N, you're up to something." Patrick said as you were helping him with his bow tie before his performance. You simply giggled and cupped his cheeks.

"Whaaaat? Is it bad to smile like this? I mean, I'm seeing you in a suit and bow tie, who wouldn't smile like an idiot because of that?" you said and he chuckled at you.

"Princess, you're seeing me wearing this almost every night." He said that made you both laugh. "But really, it's okay, you don't have to make a lot surprises. You being here is enough gift for me, and this concert too." He said that made you blush.

"You really always know what to say, Stump." You said then he hugged you lovingly and kissed your head. "Happy Birthday, angel. Enjoy and own the night, birthday boy." You said as you take a quick peck on his lips before he went up to the stage...and with that, you went on to your surprise too.

The concert started and the audience is extra cheerful today since they are indeed celebrating Patrick's birthday in there and Patrick's been amazing on that stage too. He's really passionate about performing that he prioritize this compared to his own birthday. But since you're there with him, it's your job to make him realize that it's still his special day.

"Sorry, Patrick, but let's make this even a little more exciting." You whispered as you pull down the electricity fuse and every light and sound equipment shut down.

You planned all this, of course, Patrick's parents and friends are on this too and also his crew. The moment the blackout came, one voice stood out.

"We're so sorry for the technical difficulties! We are fixing it right away! Please calm down and stay where you are. We are going to fix this soon." It was Patrick's dad, but he really did change his voice for that act.

The audience remained calm and just waiting there while Patrick was looking at them in guilt. Poor him, you're already feeling guilty for putting him up to this kind of situation. Finally, you pulled the lever again and the lights came back on.

"Um...that was not supposed to happen." Patrick said to the audience shyly but they just cheered for him which is kind of cool, they really do show their utmost support tonight.

"Please give us five more minutes to check all the equipment before playing again. We are really sorry." Patrick's dad said again and you couldn't really contain laughing aloud anymore because Patrick really looks so confused in there.

Suddenly, three men wearing hoodies came to the stage. They never showed their face to the audience and just went for all the equipment on stage acting like dogs who just observes everything in point blank and sometimes sniffing the equipment. The audience are already loving the show and they are all laughing now and Patrick was just like wtf? In there. Finally, when those three guys were done with the equipment, they all threw a big thumbs up, still not facing the audience.

"That...was...weird. I swear my crew is not high." Patrick joked that made the audience laughing more.

Patrick was again about to start the song when you pulled down the lever again, and now you went for the crowd.

"Oh come on!" you heard Patrick said like a little sad kid, again, you're already feeling guilty for playing him like this.

"Goddammit! I guess we just have to do this the old fashion way! Everyone, bring out the candles and light them all" Patrick's dad announced again and one blink away, the audience began to light their candle.

The candle was above a small cupcake that you help baked and everyone in the audience was holding one. Patrick looked at the crowd with a surprised smile on his face and you can tell he's really shocked.

"Everyone! Join us in singing!!" you screamed at the top of your lungs as the lights went on again, pointing the spotlight at you.

"Happy Birthday, Patrick......." You, the crowd, his crew, and his parents started singing.

You were in the aisle holding a bow tie shaped cake as you walk towards the stage. His parents, on the other hand, was just below the stage and he saw them too, waving excitedly at him. Finally, Patrick was too busy looking at you and the three "crew" went on stage again holding a handful of icing in their hands. It was Pete, Joe, and Andy and they came running and slamming those icing into Patrick's face that made the crowd laugh out loud.

The song finally ended with a loud cheer and clapping and Patrick was heard laughing on the microphone as he tried to wipe the icing away.

"You guys are insane!" Patrick said while laughing. "But really, thank you! My mom and dad, everyone!" he said as he pointed towards his parents the crowd cheer. "Without them I wouldn't be standing here, performing for all of you." He added.

"And these guys beside me, Pete, Andy, and Joe! They never missed putting cake or icing on my face every time it's my birthday." He said as the three guys proudly vowed.

"And of course...to the one that planned this all. I supposed that's you, princess." Patrick said while looking at you. You were already on the side of the stage and Patrick cue you to come closer to him. "My stunning girlfriend, everyone." He said proudly.

You shyly went closer, still holding the cake. The candle was still lit in there too.

"Make a wish Patrick." You said to him with a sweet smile and he nodded. "Everyone! Blow your candles the moment Patrick blows his, okay?!" you told the audience.

Patrick looked at you, closed his eyes and murmurs something you couldn't hear and with that he blew out his candle and so does everyone in the audience. Pete took the cake from you and Patrick immediately hugged you lovingly there.

"Thank you." He murmured sweetly.

"Everything for you, Patrick." You answered.

"So, can we know your wish, Patrick?" Joe teased and the crow ride on with that too. Patrick just took his microphone again and thanked everyone once more.

"You really want to know what I wished for?" he asked and the crowd has gone wild in there. "Okay, you asked for it." He sassily said then he suddenly turned to you.

"My wish...is that...I wish this girl in front of me...will be willing to spend the rest of her life with me...as my wedded wife." He said with full sincerity as he slowly knelt in front of you. Patrick took something from his pocket; a ring and hold it in front of you while kneeling. "This has been sitting in my pocket for a day already. I'm so nervous and everything, but I realized that I shouldn't be. I love you, Y/N and I shouldn't be nervous by proclaiming it to the world. So...will you make my wish come true, princess?" he said, and his happy tears are already building.

The crowd was in shock and mesmerized too. His parents and friends are proud of him, and to be honest, you are too. You finally got back to your senses the moment your tears fell from your eyes. You realized you were smiling like an idiot in there too.

"Yes...Yes I will, Patrick. Every wish you make...I'll make it come true." You murmured and Patrick put the ring on your ring finger then you both shared a hug. "I do. I love you, Patrick!" you said in excitement.

"I love you more, princess." He said.

Everyone in there cheered. You were just expecting to surprise him, but still...he did surprise you too and because of this, you know that your relationship with him will hold a lot of surprises in the near future and whether it's good or bad...as long as you're together, you promised to make it through.
