All the purses sat in the closet confused what happened?  They could not seem to understand. It is not like they could explain it, but something was off.  It was sensed since the church had been online for live stream services for a month now.  

       Charlie, Paula, Lily, and all the others could help but wonder when things would be back to normal so they could hang out in the choir room as they used too.  They can only hope it is soon.  For now, things are quieter for them since now on Sunday when they awake they have no chairs to sit under or shelves to sit on top of anymore. They do not have a party since they have to remain home.  It sure is tough on all these handbags who miss their friends.

     What else can they do while under quarantine?  They can not message each other like humans can since this would be suspicious, or do a live stream gathering.  It would be difficult to make work since their hands are not meant for this kind of stuff.  

     So for the moment, it seems like life as a purse is harder then they could imagine.  They feel abandoned by their owners who only live the house for groceries, medical supplies, yard work, or exercise.  They do not complain though.  Instead, they keep all their thoughts to themselves as they wait out the crisis like everyone else.  Such is the life of these everyday items while the state is under a stay at home order.  

    Meanwhile, the purses dream of a time when things are better, they decide never to give up and believe that in time things will be better than ever and everyone will gather in the church buildings again, businesses will reopen, and the handbags can go on their typical Sunday morning adventures in the choir room once more.

    At least they can relax in the closet amongst all the shoes, jackets, and other clothes. They can be grateful for all the fun past times and for the future ones still to come.  They can reflect back on days long gone and be happy they were available as long as they were anyway.  They can be glad to know this is temporary.  It will not last forever and they can become useful again someday.
