I know it isn't exactly heartbreak, but hear me out. The brokeness is from the fact that the wolf would never be able to fly again from the wounds so her heart break was from the loss of that ability.

A small note about the drawing is that I did it all with my finger. This was actually created in the app ibis paint x on my ipad. That's why the feathers look so bad.

I haven't updated in a long time and I'm sorry. We've had a few tests and I have basketball practice after school on every day so I haven't had much time. And on top of all that, we have lots of math homework in algebra 1. I do have a lot of drawings to put up so expect a mass update tomorrow.
