Portal Isles
A Discord Isles time travel AU

The story goes like this; While the group is staying at Oliver's house in the first book, they find that he's been researching time travel and the possibility of it. Because they are all interested, want to pay Oliver back for his hospitality, and have no where else to go, they help him uncover the secrets of time travel and create a portal gun that can send them to any time (this include timelines and OTHER AUs!!!). 

However, it can only be used once by EVERY CHARACTER in the book. (Btw Oliver is able to hide the characters when Indigo comes to check on them, and when she leaves, they continue researching.) so, as they continue studying it, they find that each character can only use it once or else the fabric of reality will get all messed up.

So, Oliver uses it to go back in time and do what he can to fix Taube and his dads relationship (this leaves Taube more stable and confident in this universe). Maya uses it to go back and kill Max's dad before he can hurt her anymore (this prevents Max from EVER BECOMING A GHOST ELEMENTAL. So her mother, Idris Ascil, becomes the ruler of Pure Towers, and Max is happier, and a full wind elemental.)

Max uses it to make sure Maya's parents never die, which means that Maya remains ENTIRELY human!! She is more happy, however, and less guarded. Lastly, Taube uses it to go back in time and make sure Oliver doesn't grow up alone, which makes Oliver's emotional health better, his stutter not as apparent, and his confidence higher.

However, the Time Elementals can sense the disruption in the space time continuum and are constantly tracking the borderhoppers down, trying to kill them.

So basically, the main four (wearing science-goggles, cool lab coats, and being overly-confident in themselves) are running from every time elemental that ever existed, while jumping between realities. (The portal allows them to GO BACK IN TIME ONLY ONCE, but they can travel between realities an infinite amount of time). So in this AU, the cocky, sciency, intelligent group, who all have good home lives and are fairly content, are constantly jumping between realities and on the run from time elementals.

Things to keep in mind:
- Maya is only a human with blue eyes, but still very skilled in combat abilities.
- Maya struggles with having killed Max's father, and constantly struggles with the thought of being a murderer.
- There's only ONE portal gun, so if the group gets split up, someone could get stranded in an alternate timeline.
- Max and her mom have a very strong relationship, so her mother knows everything about the time travel and Max checks up on her mom and helps her rule Pure Towers without anyone's knowledge.
- Oliver and Lily have a very strong relationship. Lily occasionally joins them on their adventures, but refuses to use her one 'travel back in time' for fear of messing up the space time continuum.
- They cANNOT TRAVEL TO THE FUTURE.
- All the fairies support Taube, despite him being a borderhopper, and they all adore and look up to him (they even have fan clubs)
- Even the villains can use the portal to go back in time for ONE THING, so if certain elementals get a hold of the portal gun, they can go back in time and kill the borderhoppers...or worse.
- In this timeline, Scarlet's magic is unable to get a grasp on them, due to them constantly jumping between realities, which means she never creates the storm and simply continues to rule over her own island.

Anyways, do what you want with Portal Isles!!

I really LOVE THE CHARACTER DESIGNSSSSS

Maya is like a cool blue Fnaf security guard, Oliver is like a 'Joker'or 'Mad scientist', Max is like a cute little adventurer child, and Taube's like a stripper disguised as a mail delivery boy and I love it.

But in Portal Isles, I think Taube is the charismatic and confident one, who says things like "catch us if you can!! Oh wait, you can't, we're going to another dimension!" Before disappearing in the portal.

Max is more 'Build', 'craft', 'alchemy' type whose always trying to fix everything and is really curious, constantly climbing things and finding herself in random places.

Oliver is, of course, the super genius whose like that one anime character who can sense how fast, high, and how many mph a fly three miles away is going.

And Maya is the cool one who kinda just goes along with it, and is really good at using the potions Max make to  blow things up and heal people and all that Jazz.

And they all rely on a glitchy old portal gun and the company of each other to keep themselves safe from a whole bunch of time elementals :,)
