Nothing feels better than enjoying a starry night, with a shining full moon to enhance it's beauty.

The silence in the air is so comfortable, everything feels so peaceful. She stood at the rooftop, closing her eyes and just enjoying the night.

A piercing voice ruins the atmosphere, as Raavi hears a sharp "Ae gadhedi!"

Immediately her entire mood is ruined. All she wanted was some time by herself.

"Tujhe kabse dhundh raha hu, aur tu yaha hai? Sab tere liye neeche wait kar rahe hai, hume bhooka marwaayegi kya?

" Mujhe bhook nahi hai Shiva, please mujhe akela chod de." Raavi said, not looking at him.

"Ye sahi hai tera. Khud toh khaana nahi hai, aur hume bhi khaane nahi degi. Woh toh accha hai sabko bol diya ki humare liye na ruke, warna-" Shiva said, irritated.

"Warna kya, haan? Warna kya? Aur ye tujhe baat karne ki tameez nahi hai? Jab dekho toh 'Mami ki behen ki beti' 'Chipkali' 'Gadhedi'. Mera bhi ek naam hai. Raavi. Suna nahi hai toh aaj bata rahi hu" Raavi said, fed up.

"Par-"

"Nahi, aaj mai bolungi aur tu sunega. Kabse try kar rahi hu ki khush rahu, lekin koi mujhe khush dekhna hi nahi chahta."

"Pehle woh Dev, mandap pe chodke gaya, sach bolne ki himmat thi nahi usme. Aur uski biwi, usse toh woh rokta hi nahi hai, kuch bhi bolti rehti hai."

"Aur Rishita, mera jeena haram kar diya hai usne, galti se agar Dev ke saamne aa gayi, toh halla machati hai. Mujhe nahi chahiye uska pati, uske dimaag me ye baat kyu nahi ghusti."

"Dhara di aur Gombi ko lagta hai, ki humare rishte ki kadwahat mit jaayegi kisi din. Lekin unhe kya pata." Her voice was beginning to quiver.

She walks over to Shiva, and points a finger, in a way of accusing him.

"Unhe kya pata ki tu, mera pati, jiske saath maine 'saat janam' saath nibhane ka vaada kiya hai, woh toh meri koi izzat hi nahi karta. Aaj tak kabhi mujhe mere naam se nahi bulaya hai"

Tears were starting to form in her eyes. Shiva couldn't help, but stand and hear everything she accused him of.

It was true. He didn't realise it, but he wasn't giving her the respect she deserved.

"Tujhe yaad hai na humari shaadi hui hai? Itni kyu nafrat karta hai mujhse, ki dhang se baat bhi nahi karta hai. Haa, aaj woh Rishita me saamne meri side li tune, lekin sirf dikhave ke liye, warna toh tu itna akdu hai."

"Mai kitna try kar rahi hu itne dino se, ki tujhse acche se baat karu, aur shaayad, SHAAYAD, tu thodi izzat dede."

Tears started escaping her eyes. She couldn't take it anymore.

"Biwi hu teri. Sadak se nahi uthake laya mujhe iss ghar me. Itne logo se gheri hui hoon. Phir bhi itni akeli hu."

"Mai kya karu, Shiva. Mai kya karu? Aise jeene se accha hai mai-" She never completed that sentence.

Grief took over her body, and she sobbed. She poured her heart out in front of the person she least expected to understand.

She collapsed on the cot next to her, and cried her heart out, with her head in her hands.

Shiva stood numb. Her words were filled with so much pain. He remembered every moment he insulted her, called her names and what not.

He regretted not being able to understand her. She's a girl who's lost her parents, lost the person she loved, lives away from her family in a family where barely any people care for her.

He didn't understand then, but he realised now that she has no one. The one person she relied on was him, at least in the form of a friendship.

She needed him.

Slowly, he walked towards her, and knelt in front of her, head bowed down.

"Mujhe maaf karde.... Raavi"

She looked up with a jerk at the sound of her name. "Kya kaha tune? Mere kaan baj rahe hai"

He took her hands in his.

"Mujhe maaf karde. Mai tujhe samajh hi nahi paaya. Ya samajhna nahi chahta tha. Mai bhul gaya tha, ki agar mai iss rishte mein bandha hu, toh tu bhi issi rishte mein bandhi hai."

"Jo bhi gussa tha, sab tere pe nikal raha tha. Nahi karna chahiye tha. I'm sorry. Maaf kar paayegi mujhe? " He looked up at her.

She smiled through her tears, "Shiva Pandya, mujhse maafi mangega? Maine toh kabhi socha bhi nahi tha." She chuckled.

He smiled at her. "Ye din bhi dekh liya tune. Bas ro mat, please"

She wiped away her tears.

"Lekin mujhse ek vaada karna hoga tujhe. Aaj ke baad, tu mujhe insult karne jaisa koi naam nahi bulayega."

"Done. Promise."

They both looked at each other and smiled.

"Raavi, woh kya hai na. Badi bhuk lagi hai, toh please khaate hai na kuch."

"Sacchi bolu tu mujhe bhi bohot bhook lagi hai. Pet me choohe daud rahe hai"

They both laughed and got up to go eat. Shiva walked ahead of her, but suddenly he felt a tug on his arm

"Shiva, mai tujhse puchna hi bhool gayi" Raavi said, remembering something.

"Kya?"

She extended her hand forward.

"Dushman se dost banne ko tayyar ho?" She laughed.

He smirked and shook her hand. "Ye bhi karke dekh lenge"

As they walked back down, Shiva noticed something in her eyes, that he couldn't see all these days.

Happiness. Her true self.
